Christmas at Albrighton Hall. Staff were Amazing and worked so hard, nothing was too much trouble. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast (included) excellent Quiet location with beautiful views. Short drive/taxi into town. Spa was wonderful

We booked a spa getaway for Christmas. On arrival we find the spa shut from 3pm Christmas Eve - boxing day. Christmas dinner fully booked so there was no options on Christmas day for a meal. Gym facilities weren't advertised No water/drink facilities within the spa. Room - Radiator jammed on No tea/coffee/shower gel but this was soon rectified. Would definitely recommend but check with the hotel before arrival so you know what facilities are available and meal options

The loveley scenic pond and surrounding countryside . The quiet warm clean spacious room in the stables with Extra touches like a fridge, luxury soap, shampoo and body moisturiser. Being able to check out at 12 noon

The bed was quite hard which meant a disturbed nights sleep. Despite getting a cheaper deal on the room from booking.com I think£20 per night extra for a dog is a bit expensive . Most hotels only charge £10 - £15. Some hotels charge more for the first night but then don’t charge for further nights but at this hotel it would be £20 each night . It’s a shame because I would like to book again but if I stayed for 3 nights this would mean another £60. I think booking.com need to state in their information the cost for taking a dog as it is never clear .

Convenient for where I was going (funeral). Choice of food served in bar, or restaurant.

Few staff for such a vast establishment. Bathroom in room showing its age - taps / shower needing an upgrade. Sink slow to drain - needed maintenance.

Very beautiful location, lovely rustic decor, staff were very friendly. We had a Superior room with sofa bed which was very large and not far from the entrance. Spa was ok, there is 3 different types of Saunas, a Steam Room and an ice room which were lovely. Food and drink in the bar was really nice and not too expensive. Breakfast in the morning was also really nice! (Book the night before as it is about £6 cheaper).

Not a lot of information provided by staff at check in, such as where to find the spa/bar/restaurant etc. The sofa bed was not made up but this may have been on purpose so the sofa could be used. However the sheet for the sofa bed was dirty and the pillows were bobbled and not very “hotel like”. We did arrange for balloons and chocolate to be added to the room for £15 however this was not done (the staff did rectify this with a refund and a free drink which was good). The main thing was that the Jacuzzi/hot tub was out of order! We were not informed of this on check in or before and there was no sign of it getting fixed and the indoor pool was really really cold! They could have made the pool a lot warmer to make up for there being no Jacuzzi.

The room was spacious and on the ground floor, we thought the grounds were very attractive, the staff were pleasant and helpful. A very pleasant place to stay and as we have friends locally I am sure we will book again. One small niggle. We had two medium size bags to bring inside because we were going on for a 10 day holiday and we found it a long walk from the car park to the stable block plus steps to negotiate. We are senior citizens and in common with many guests in our age group we would have appreciated either being able to park closer, as there were closer parking spaces occupied by workmen's vans, or some help, even an airport style trolley. We are very independent and its a relatively small niggle but some people our age would have struggled.

Could be better - the sign indicating where reception is - we couldn't see it and walked past the 'red carpet' I had to ask another guest ' where is reception?' Could be better - checkin - we were not told there was free WiFi. We had to phone reception from the room to ask. Could be better - we were not told what time breakfast was served, or what time the pool opened. We had to ask reception. Could be better - why is there no spin dry machine for swimwear in the changing rooms! Could be better - no wall mounted little shelf to put your own shower gel or other bits on whilst showering. Only place is the floor. Could be better - lockers need to be £1 operated. Not unsecure as you use the facilities. Like - location, ambience, gardens, history of building. Good fair price.

Spa has separate room for facilities, restaurant and bar facilities for options, nice character, big enough to absorb a wedding without disruption for guests, room and bathroom good size, shower was VERY good, also separate shower bath, nicely done annex! Incredibly helpful reception staff who lent me a charger!

Jacuzzi is rather small and water level seems low, walls in accommodation could do with a refresh as it takes away from some of the nice features, door opened onto bed and no bedside table seemed odd, room smelt a tad smoky but suspect that was people smoking nearby.

The Romeo and Juliet room was beautiful. So spacious and comfortable and the bed was amazing. We didn't want to get up in the morning it was so comfortable. Bathroom was equally breathtaking with a walk in shower and free standing tub. Overall, excellent stay and we'll be back.

I asked the staff for a couple of candles to celebrate with my partner. The girl said she would bring some up but didn't hear from her again. We waited a few hours before giving up. The bath tub was nice, apart from the fact that the water drains out of it quicker than it can fill up!? That romantic moment was quickly abandoned but it didn't ruin our stay, fortunately.

Worth a visit, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Nestled amidst picturesque grounds, the establishment offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The staff’s exceptional friendliness and helpfulness made our experience truly memorable. Our room, designated as 22, was exceptionally comfortable. Upon arrival, we were delighted to find a basket of fresh fruits, chocolates, and crisps awaiting us on the table. The refrigerator conveniently stocked a selection of complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The room was equipped with a coffee machine, a kettle, and an array of teas, hot chocolate, and coffee, allowing guests to prepare their own beverages. The spa facilities were available for hotel guests at no additional cost, offering a swimming pool, jacuzzi, two saunas, two steam rooms, and an ice room. The breakfast buffet offered an extensive variety of delectable food and beverages, ensuring a satisfying start to each day. The ala carte restaurant also served well-presented and delicious dishes, providing a fine dining experience. We highly recommend this establishment and plan to return in the future.

Despite the jacuzzi being unavailable during our stay, we were able to enjoy a relaxing experience at other spa facilities.

We had very spacious, wonderfully quiet and peaceful room in the annex overlooking the lake and gardens. A perfect place to relax! It was a short walk into the main building for breakfast and to use the spa area. The breakfast room was well staffed and there was a good variety of delicious hot and cold foods. All staff we spoke to were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Location was perfect to enjoy the lovely town of Shrewsbury

A choice of soft or firm pillows would have been helpful.
