Great location central to the large village with in street parking. Major towns all within a 15 minute drive. Nice pub and busy with locals for both foods and drink. Was too late for food and skipped a beer as I couldn't see any real dark ale / porters. Pub fell silent at about 11.15 so no problem sleeping. Just 5 rooms above the pub, very clean and fresh smelling. Step up to the bathroom for those that need to know. It's centuries old so it is as well updated as they could. Be aware of the floor slope and meaning in bed your feet can be higher than you expect 😄 I didn't use the TV so can't comment on that. Plenty of tea and coffee available. Dispenser soap in the bathroom. Towels fresh. Shower over bath with slip mats if needed. Follow the instructions on how to get shower hot water and you will get there - be gentle and patient! It's a quirk of a centuries old building! Breakfast was cooked to order, select from the menu items just what you like. Bacon was tasty and the rind cut like gammon. Cereal in individual boxes, select as you wish. Joast and jam. Tea and coffee. Good portion of lovely Greek style yoghurt with generous fresh fruit topping it off. Tea and coffee. Orange juice not from concentrate. Only slight blemish for me was the breakfast sausage - compared to everything else that was top quality, this was chip shop style and a bit poor. Also I think it was a tad undercooked, though it was piping hot. Service when arriving, leaving, and throughout breakfast was spot on, chatty and friendly. Would I return? Definitely. And I recommend the place and the area. Price paid? I'd say a fair price; provided what I needed at a price I'm happy to pay.

Perhaps get local sausage from the butcher rather than bought in. Possibly awkward to achieve but raise the head end of the bed to get a flat sleeping position.

The Fox is very close to the centre of Much Wenlock and has parking available at the rear of the property. The staff are very friendly and accommodating - everything we asked for couldn’t have done more. The room was nicely decorated and large - the bathroom was also a generous size. Although the room faced onto the street, it was quiet and we had a good nights sleep on the comfortable bed. Breakfast and our evening meal was very good - well cooked and good ingredients.

There wasn’t anything to dislike. Some areas of the property need a little attention but it’s mainly just wear and tear. The bar got very busy each evening but we were able to get served quickly and find a seat/table

Exception Lovely staff, with great sence of humour and fun , very good breakfast.There was 8 of us all together. We Stayed in superior groung floor room accessed from outside the pub via private entrance. Room Lovely and spacious, bathroom same. My son and husband stayed in the room above. My Daughters and husbands stayed in rooms inside the pub .all happy

Only issue we had with the room was the bathroom window and a small window in the bedroom wouldn't close , we pushed them to but kept swinging open , hense this being warm weather flys got into room and this was a nuisance also this left us feeling that the room may not be very secure while out. Just need fixing.

Great place to stay! The owners and staff were really friendly and had time to stop and chat, which is pretty rare these days! Our room was lovely and spacious with a great en-suite. Very clean. The meals served in the pub downstairs were fab, good portions and really tasty food. The breakfast was fabulous too! Couldn't fault it in any way. :) It was a nice stroll to the main high street so the location was perfect and there are plenty of local shops, cafes and pubs to visit. Not to mention the beautiful medieval buildings, Church and Priory! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Fox, Much Wenlock.

Outstanding, this extremely warm friendly inn is family friendly on all accounts. The accommodation is perfect, clean and cosy. Situated in a beautiful village location packed with history, with beautiful Tudor buildings, dating between 14th century to 16th century. The staff owners at The Fox made our 13 year old birthday breakfast one to remember, with nothing being too much for them. To the evening meal and cook breakfast delicious. Dog friendly, children friendly and brilliant for us adults too. A great bass to visit Blists Hill Victorian town, and Shrewsbury prison, both being Dog friendly and a perfect Family day out.

We loved the village and the beautiful old properties with the history. Lovely and quiet felt safe walking around.Although the accommodation was a public house our room was quiet and our nights sleep was very good.Room was real warm.The breakfasts were very good really enjoyed. Evening food deal we thought were real good and enjoyed.All the staff very pleasant witch for us goes a long way.

Car park a little small but we did manage to park ok.Praps the only criticism the room could benefit with a little updating but this didn't dampon our stay at all.

Fabulous location , very friendly welcome on arrival . Exceptional value for money , big room comfy bed nice and clean , shower took a little to get used to but not a major problem Breakfast was outstanding , nice choice and very good quality , plenty of it. Evening meal was also good value , including a drink in the price good pub grub ! Really cosy pub with choice of ales and very good service Could not fault stay , it was lovely

Very friendly, polite and accommodating welcome from staff that continued throughout our one night stay. Evening meal was good and well priced, as was the breakfast. Parking on site was also appreciated.

Our room was above the back door of the pub which didn’t have a ‘hydraulic door closer’ which meant it banged very loudly when opened & closed, and as the pub was busy….this happened continuously, but all stopped at closing time!! Also there was no non-slip plastic mat for the bath which meant it was very slippery when showering.

This is my favourite place to stay when walking with my dog in Shropshire - even when it isn't the closest place to where I plan to hike. The staff are lovely, so welcoming and going the extra mile to care for my dog's needs (sausage for breakfast anyone?) The rooms are comfortable, clean and have the atmosphere you would expect from a historic building in the town. Evening meals are excellent value for money and the breakfast is cooked to order.

We had a lovely one night stay at this great pet friendly property, all the staff were welcoming and friendly especially Liz who treated our dog as her own. The pub is in a great town centre location with parking, no charge for pets and a great breakfast to set you up for the day, the room was also lovely with a bath and we also ate in the pub on the evening, great value and good quality food, £16 inc a drink of your choice.
