Walking distance from the Clarks shopping village meant we could leave car in their car park for free ( you have to give reg) plus they have electric car charger points in THEIR car park too Room was old style but modern and it even has a bath and massive freeview tvand massive bed

As it was an Old building, it had original windows but they also have sliding single glazed windows inside but was no point in having it as it blew in a massive draught Plus we were there Fri- sun but there "was no "old mout" on tap Plus another cider which i couldn't remember wasn't available for the time we were there unfortunately

This is a really cheerful and homely pub/inn in Somerset- part of the Marston’s group of pubs, restaurants & inns. It’s an ideal bolthole for us as our halfway stopover en route to Cornwall, making it 2 journeys of 2.5-3 hrs rather than 1 long push of 6. Plenty of parking available which is free to hotel patrons, sorted out hassle free on check in. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially Bayleigh who was kind, friendly, super efficient, and ran the dining room at breakfast effortlessly, going above and beyond to make our stay as perfect as possible. While the rooms may not be described as luxury 5 star accommodation, the family rooms are spacious, well serviced with light from 2 windows, are well furnished with 4 beds, 1x double & 2x singles and perfect for 2 adults & 2 teens. The shower was powerful with plenty of hot water, with good towels provided and the bathroom spacious and light too, The curtains darken the room sufficiently for a sound nights sleep. Our accommodation was separate to the pub in cottage style buildings next door. It had its own entrance, which made it feel private and ensured there were no issues with noise at bedtime or early morning. Breakfast was a separate add on in the morning which we chose because of its value, with good choice of continental and cooked options for the whole family. Street is also really nice town, Clark’s Village is great for a browse and a branded bargain and we can highly recommend The Fondo Lounge for a meal in town, especially their Cheeky Monday deal which is terrific value.

Only thing that could be improved for me, but this goes for all pubs and restaurants across the UK, is a good alcohol free beer on draught. There were options available in bottles & cans but somehow a pulled pint feels different.

The room is very spacious with a big ensuite bathroom and pleasantly warm on a cold autumn night. The check-in was fast, albeit we waited for someone to show up at the unmanned front desk as we arrived just before midnight. The bed was very comfortable. The cleanliness was at good domestic level and the location was superb. Right next to the biggest outlet in Somerset and in the heart of the town centre.

The bathroom could do with a little update, but nothing significant. It is still more than adequate for a short stay. A nice creamy shower gel is available, but no shampoo, which is not a deal breaker in our case as we prefer to use our own

The location of our stay was just perfect for us… The room was spotlessly clean. We had a downstairs room, perfect for us, as stairs are getting to be a problem. The room was basic but comfortable; another chair would have helped us… 2 person stay. Parking was easy, no need to worry about parking meters as there was private parking for the location. There was a need for in-house maintenance in the bathroom, however this did not have any impact on our stay … just a cosmetic need. (Previous wear and tear to radiator and skirting boards). All the colleagues we encountered, were really happy to help us when we needed it. The service given was excellent. Thank you.

Location was perfect for the venue I was attending each day. The room was spacious, warm and comfortable, making it a very pleasant stay during such cold weather. Breakfast was excellent with perfect poached eggs every time. Staff were friendly, helpful and always served with a smile.

More storage could have been provided for guests. The room was certainly big enough to accommodate a wardrobe and/or at least a set of drawers. I was disappointed that the bathroom did not have a shaver point making my electric toothbrush unusable and the wash basin plug did not work properly so the basin would not hold water. Frustrating, and wasteful having to keep taps running to have a wash.

Great, value for money accommodation. Plenty of free on-site parking (must register vrm at reception). Spacious, clean, warm comfortable room. Good choice of food from evening menu - we had 2 evening meals and enjoyed both. Breakfast was good - with fairly wide time span. The ambiance of the pub / restaurant did exceed our expectations. A pleasant place to relax and enjoy the food. The staff were professional and helpful, special mention to Hayley, whose customer service skills were outstanding. The Bear Inn is located within very easy walking distance of the town centre, no more than a short 5 minute walk to the Clarks Village shopping outlet !! All in all a very pleasant stay.

Very minor points - wear and tear on the room was in danger of beginning to show …. Rip in the net curtain, crack in bath side panel. Otherwise no faults.

Everything was spot on, we loved the size of iur room and the fact it was on the ground floor, I asked and got exactly what we wanted. Plus even though I had left it too late to book our christmas dinner a lovely young girl mad sure we were included in their Christmas Day meal. We ate there on Xmas Eve as well food was absolutely superb. We had the best Christmas stay in a long while. We stayed from 24th until 27th December it was opposite the Clarks Factory and Village. Best position and wonderful staff. The size of the room excellent bed very comfortable. Usual tea and coffee in room.

Nothing it was Excellent. We even had access to their Osprey Electric Chargers, as there were two it was easy to access.

I booked a family room on ground level as my friend has heart failure. The room was large and comfortable, the double bed for her was very large possibly bigger than a king size. The single bed is in another room which was also spacious with its own tv. Ample parking outside the property which was a bonus. Breakfast was more than ample and a good choice of menu available with waitress service. Dinner was booked and the food was excellent I booked that through their website and had a 30% festive promotions discount voucher to use which was an added bonus. I would highly recommend this accomodation it is on the door step and 5 minute walk to Clarks Village designer shopping outlet. Glastonbury town is a 5 minute drive away.

Nothing the experience was a delight and would stay their again

All the hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast and dinner were very good , room was basic but comfortable warm and clean . As my wife is disabled the car parking outside the Room was a bonus.

We stayed in one of the ground floor blossom rooms for 2 nights . the first night was great on the second night The residents in the room above had people visiting them and were very loud until about 2-30 in the morning. I think as they are older character buildings there are creaking and loose floor boards with very little sound proofing.

bed was comfy. and room and bathroom was large. the room came with a hairdryer and it was a good one.. i had brought my own as the ones supplied(if your lucky) are normally pants and not worth turning on, but this one impressed me. room also had an iron and ironing board, but didnt use. we had a meal which was real nice and enjoyed very much.

room was in need of some refurbishment, drainage wasnt great water backed up while having a shower and drained slowly. the telly was on the small size for rhe size of the room
