It is in the heart of historic St Augustine. Beautiful view of the ICW and the mooring field, so that you can watch all the boats. You can just park your car and walk

They now charge $20.00 to park at the hotel, even when you are staying there

No hotel in the city is more convenient to the historic downtown area and waterfront. Almost everything lies within a 5- or 10-minute walk. The rooms are sizable, reasonably clean, and reasonably comfortable. We have stayed here in the past and will stay here in the future, primarily because of the location.

Rooms near the southwest corner of the hotel may experience significant noise into the early-morning hours from the open-air bar located across the street. Some aspects of the facilities need to be updated. This hotel would receive an only-slightly above-average rating if it were located in a setting removed from the center of the colonial city.

Lovely clean room, all refitted and modern with a bit of sea view. super downton location too. The check in lady was helpful and kind. She allowed us to check in earlier and gave us a nice room explained the views and pros and cons of each room. We didn't use the pool but i can see this would be a nice addition if it were warm. This place is more simple than the HIlton next door but much cheaper and was just fine for an overnight stay. I'll def stay here again!

I really need a tea kettle and a real mug to drink from. I hate paper cups coated in terrible chemicals which leach into us when we put hot water in them. Just give us real mugs pls and proper drinks. We're not animals. other than that his place is lovely and i'd stay here again anytime.

The room at first was cramped and no heat, the hostess at night said she couldn’t move us because we had booked through a third-party so we contacted the manager of the facility. She’s awesome. I’m trying to remember her name. I want to say Sharon, but I could be wrong. She immediately from home, called them and moved us to a better room with heat. Overall, the stays amazing the parking is horrible but that’s to be expected. Saint Augustine is a beautiful and fun place to go other than that we have no complaints whatsoever other than the desk clerk she was of Asian descent. I can’t tell you what culture, but she was not out to help us or anything. She did send a guy up to look at the AC and heater he brought me an extra blanket and said he would try to work on it. Well that wasn’t going to be good enough because it was going to be cold but anyhow, like I said the head manager of the best western in bayfront Saint Augustine Florida was just amazing and we will return especially because of her and the excellent service we got when we first got there the valet guy was just awesome. He made sure that we had a comfortable place to park and that we had a place to park when we came back in because we are both are semi disabled. Yes, I would highly recommend the best western bayfront. They just need to keep an eye on some of their staff. Thank you.

The property is very nice. It’s cramped, but given the fact the view overrules it being cramped. The parking is horrible, but they can’t help that either because Saint Augustine just keeps overpopulated itself every day, but it was convenient and close enough to walk to most everything we wanted to, and we thoroughly enjoyed the alligator farm.

The hotel has the best location. The Historic District and everything you need is in walking distance. The hotel is connected to the Historic District. The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Our ceiling light was not working. We reported this to one of the staff and Zoli was immediately there to fix it. Problem solved in less than 10 minutes. Zoli is very helpful and attentive as well as all the staff we came in contact with. They did not have a breakfast option, but provided a grab and go bag and fresh coffee. The "grab and go bag" contained a banana-nut muffin, cereal bar and bottled water. Fresh fruit is available also. It worked perfectly for us. There is a restaurant next door that serves an excellent and fast breakfast. My husband ate there one day (carry-out). He said it was very good. The room was small, but very comfortable. The bed and pillows were comfortable. "Everything" was very clean. I always clean and sanitize my own room and bring my own linen and towels (borderline OCD), so for me to say it was clean.... that means "it was clean." I highly recommend this hotel. It also has an elevated area where you can sit and look at the Bay, the Fort, the trains going by, the Lions Bridge and see all of the St. Augustine activities. Nice cozy, covered area to relax. High tables and chairs and love-seat in this look-out area. We had a wonderful stay! The landscaping makes nice backgrounds for pictures during the day and at night. They have lights to highlight the trees and greenery at night.

*The air conditioner was loud. *In the bathroom, the sink drainage hole at the top/front of the sink had black stuff in it that should be cleaned out ... it's my borderline OCD thing.

Location was awesome. Walking distance to Fort and many other locations. Took earplugs just in case due to the reviews of noise, but we did not hear any. Parking attendant was awesome directing a tight parking lot. Cafe next to the hotel was nice, but small. We will definitely be back!

We were charged for parking on both rooms even though we had 1 car. They were able to correct it after we asked for a copy of the bill. The adjustment took 4 weeks to clear the credit card.

Conveniently located in the historic district. Actually very quiet room while there were live bands playing at a pub close by. Parking lot on site albeit tight. Had no problems parking an SUV. Free coffee in the lobby. Rooms have been recently updated. Bathroom was clean.

1. My room keys kept failing. Had to replace twice. 2. No breakfast. Lobby is small and plain. 3. The in-room AC wasn't intuitive. Couldn't get fan to stay on. 4. The king size bed took up most of the room.

We have been staying at this property since it was The Monterey Inn, in 1978, and it was old then! Whoever did the update did a fantastic job with this small, older hotel, and now it is clean, fresh, and modern, yet still charming. Historic Old St. Augustine is RIGHT behind you, the Bay is right in front of you, the Castillo San Marcos is block away, and the well-loved Columbia Restaurant (original is in Ybor City, in Tampa) is 2 blocks behind you!

The location is perfect for exploring the historic district of downtown St. Augustine. The clearly "vintage" motel has modern, up-to-date furnishings and bathroom. The mini fridge and the microwave were a nice surprise, even though we didn't use them.

The room is a little tight for two queen beds. This is probably due to the age of the building. All the same, it was adequate space for two people. The tiny coffee maker worked, but I suspect the beverage packages were out of date--the coffee "creamer" powder didn't dissolve as expected. That's a clue they're not regularly changed.

This Best Western is in a great location and within a few blocks of all the restaurants, bars, and activities! The trolley stop is right out front of the building and very convenient. The rooms were clean and had plenty of space to move around. Bathrooms were also clean and well stocked. With so many things to see and do in the area we were basically in our room only to sleep so for the price and location it worked out very well. Parking is well managed and organized.

Wish a continental breakfast was included but they did offer coffee in the lobby area, as well as, a bagged grab-n-go snack. Would have liked the water temp. to be a bit hotter but isn't a deal breaker.
