We didn't eat breakfast. We just got coffee at the stand on the main floor. We ate dinner the night before and we each had a drink. The staff at the hotel was exceptional. The bartender, wait staff, front desk, valet, etc., exceeded our expectations. They made us feel like family! They weren't rushed to move people along, they struck up conversation and we're engaged in their service. Unlike other hotels, the Graduate has an ambiance reminiscent of the 1940's. When people truly took the time to engage with each other with wonderful hospitality. We've also stayed at the Graduate in East Lansing. Our daughter was interviewing at Concordia for graduate school. Ann Arbor will always have a place in our hearts as a beacon of greatness and beauty.

The bathroom could have been bigger. I was hoping for a heat lamp or fan to make it warm and toasty. I didn't care for the strange, western bar room, swing doors for the bath. It didn't offer any privacy. I forgot to ask if you had handicapped rooms, as we brought my 86 year old mother along and she had difficulty in the shower without a place to sit and get dressed in private.

The room was nice, if not quite as large as I expected. Vouchers for coffee and drinks were generous, although we weren't able to take much advantage of these. Location was near ideal: walking distance to lots of things.

Parking only by $35/night valet service. My inquiry beforehand as to whether this would be the only option was not answered. No housekeeping on Christmas day: I understand they gave the staff a holiday, which is reasonable, but there was no advance warning that this would be the case.

Fantastic location, lovely staff, the lobby is like a huge informal lounge with a long table you can hang out at, get coffee work or hang out. Had an executive king which was really nice. The extra room for a couple of wingback chairs and a table made it feel like a mini lounge. Great view from 11th floor.

Lunch menu wasn’t great for vegetarians but there’s so many places in town 5 minutes walk it doesn’t matter. The bar and restaurant are really cosy.

The toilet kept making noise all night but we never reported it because we were so tired, we were still able to fall asleep. Also, the refrigerator was not cold. We think maybe it wasn’t plugged in but never bothered to verify as it was a minor inconvenience as we only kept water in it.

The location was very convenient to the University of Michigan campus. The room, lobby, and other hotel facilities were very well appointed. The bar and seating area were very nice. The coffee shop in the lobby had an extensive menu.

The lobby was warm and inviting, the restaurant and coffee bar were a good value with quality items. The rooms were smartly decorated with attention to details. All staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The bed was pretty firm for my liking. The bathrooms were also pretty small; had I been traveling with someone, we would have been tripping over each other to squeeze in there. The parking situation was also unsavory. The valet lot did not accommodate pick up trucks so we had to park a couple blocks away in a parking garage each time we left the hotel.

Fabulous location, great atmosphere. Both are important! Small bathroom with door that clocked exterior door if opened. In room coffee was instant. Breakfast at restaurant was average . Would still stay again, despite the mnimal drawbacks for atmosphere and location. Can't be beat!

Wonderful, charming and helpful staff across the board, from valet, check-in (high praise here), bar and restaurant staff. The dry rub chicken wings and the spicy margarita at the restaurant were the best I've ever had. The rooms were studious and quirky.

The bathroom is a little small. The only con for us was the cleaning lady smashing down our door the next morning at 9.20am - not ideal.

The old Campus Inn is still in an ideal location to visit UM without a car. The hotel is very nice, and the most recent makeover has nice decor touches.

Having said that the hotel is very nice, it is very pricey for the level of hotel that it is. I would be reluctant to stay there again if I had a choice otherwise. The only specific thing about the property that I was unhappy with was the shower was very, very slippery when wet and with soap on it. I was able to manage, but a less able person would not.

Ambiance and Friendliness of the staffs. Location, so close to the university, also close to restaurants which is fantastic. I also liked the fact that the hotel is different, its like old school in a sense of style and art but facilities are not old at all. Brings you back to decades ago.

Lack of option for eco-friendliness e.g. room cleaning or not. I would have liked my room cleaned without changing the towels everyday.
