This hotel is a cozy and tiny gem in Ann Arbor, located just few minutes walk from the main attractions provided by the University of Michigan. The room is very comfortable and wide, with a large bathroom. The bed is comfortable and a selection of pillows is available. The staff is extremely kind and provide for any need the guest has. The fitness center (one treadmill, one elliptical, one multipower structure, some free weights, one bench) is small but definitely functional. The breakfast is awesome and always warm, it surely makes you feeling full. I appreciated my stay and I would suggest the hotel for the proximity of museums, the University, downtown, restaurants.

The Bell Tower is part of Ann Arbor history. My parents first brought me here in the 80s. Now I am here visiting my freshman daughter. The location is ideal. My room is small, tidy and appealing. The lobby is large and comfortable. Breakfast is served in a large modern room. The voices of the other travelers around me create a happy hum during breakfast. Things to know - the feel is a wonderful inn - not a Hilton. That's why I love it. Last night, I heard loud college revelers outside of my window - remember my days doing the same thing and went back to sleep. (Bell Tower provides a white noise machine if you require one.) I have loved it here for 45 years. The staff is very involved with making my stay comfortable. Always a delight.

We were in town for the football season opener, and the location was excellent for exploring downtown Ann Arbor, and attending the game. Everything was in easy walking distance, so there was great access to restaurants and shops.

it sometimes took a long time for the water to heat up in the shower, so I had to plan to start the shower running a few minutes before I needed to get in. For breakfast, the fruit and yogurht stations were execellent, and I was able to make very tasty yogurht parfaits. But the hot foods were not especially appetizing.

Bell Tower Hotel is a very pleasant hotel, and it is very conveniently located, especially if one comes for university-related matters. I had a warm welcome. My room was small, but not too small, and well-furnished (e.g. with a desk, which I find important) and cozy. The bed was comfortable, with 4 pillows. The breakfast is pretty much what one would expect (scrambled eggs, sausage, bagels, etc.), but I enjoyed it, especially the two morning when there were fresh blue- and strawberries.

The only thing that was of rather poor quality was the coffee.

We came to Ann Arbor for a U Mich activity, so location was the best you can find, and price is reasonable too. You can walk everywhere from the hotel. Also is always convenient to have breakfast on site. It was a nice detail to have water, apples and cookies available at the reception, thanks!

the style of the hotel is classic oldish, but it was OK

The staff was great. They were helpful and made great suggestions. The location was ideal for Michigan Ave and all the attractions around Millennium Park. My only not-so-positive comment is that there is no restaurant on-site. It didn't matter to us as we went out, but if someone wants to eat at the hotel, they're out of luck.

Location was great

Breakfast was disappointing. We were told they take pride in how great their breakfast is. Breakfast is 7-10am and we went at 8am. Things were all basically gone and the staff working said she thought everyone would be gone by 8 so she didn’t make more food. Also, choices were basic and like a Holiday Inn. Bed was lumpy and not at all firm. Room space is tight and Bathroom has a step up/down into it. Very Dangerous for 88yo who fell coming out of the bathroom at night.

Location is super convenient for visiting University of Michigan. Meticulously clean and neatly arranged room, great quality bedding. Pretty good breakfast, freshly baked cookies in the afternoon; fruit bowl with apples, coffee and water with lemons all day long.

I wish there would be a mini fridge in the room. Our view was a brick wall of next building - I would prefer a better view. Vallet parking only, but at reasonable price of $25.

The breakfast was very nice. Table arrangement worked well. Hotel staff were very helpful. Hotel was clean. Disappointed in the water pressure. It was an old building but maintained well. Cost was high but we were close to the medical facilities that we had to use. As a note, the valet staff were very efficient and again helpful. We would stay at Bell Tower Inn again

Breakfast had a good selection. Breakfast area was very clean. Cookies available throughout the day with water at the reception. Lobby welcoming. Location very central part of town. Short walk from hotel to bus stop to take the university shuttles. Staff were friendly. Lazyboy in the room - nice to sit on

Rooms were a little dark - yellow lighting. Bathroom was functional. Not the type where you can soak in the tub. There is no tub, just a shower area with a small sink. Room size adequate - may be a squeeze for 2 big sized people.
