The location was great and the staff was super helpful and friendly! They answered all my questions about the area and things to do for new years. Also loved that it was dog friendly, our little guy Binky had fun.

Everything was great except it would have been nice to have a water heater in the room for tea and instant coffee or a coffee machine. Also a little fridge since we ended up with leftovers from an amazing restaurant we couldn’t finish.

Breakfast was very good, room was nice, clean and tidy, and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

The hotel has changed hands numerous times in the past few years, and on arrival we learnt that it was to be an IHG hotel from that day onwards, this did cause a few issues regarding IT, checking in, paying for drinks etc. but the staff worked really hard to minimise this matter.

Car parking was fine. The shower was good. The room was quiet.

The automatic flushing lavatory was a damned nuisance. On my next trip to Monchengladbach I may stay stay somewhere else as it flushed at inopportune moments and was extremely unnecessary! There is possibly a use for such lavatories, but not one that springs to mind.

I’ve stayed here a few times and always enjoyed it. Not far from where my daughter lives, bus top outside and within walking distance of centre.

I have to bring a travel kettle as I only drink tea and as much as I love Germany their tea isn’t my kind of tea (Yorkshire). It’s just a minor thing and no real complaints.

Nice big rooms, very comfortable beds. Excellent air conditioning. Very, very clean and tidy. Bar was a welcome suprise, especially with draft beers! Underground cat park is also a bonus at 8 euros a night.

Possibly, the lift. It was small and slow to get between the floors. Not a massive issue as we took the stairs

Locality to town

We have stayed at this hotel for quite a few years now at different times and prefer the decor as it used to be when it was a best Western. The removal of the fridges and storage tables and tea and coffee making facilities is very disappointing.

Clean, well maintained rooms that are quite big and comfy, comfortable beds, great breakfast, parking lots outside, AC in the rooms work fantastic

If you are by foot, the location may be not so easy to get there (it's very hilly from the main station toward the hotel). Breakfast was really great and offered a good selection; however, I had to ask staff several times to refill things (like hot water for tea).

Sadly there was a smell of smoke in the bedroom. There isn’t a restaurant and the reception area is very small next to a very small bar . We were hoping for somewhere to sit in the evenings but it really is a very small seating area.

I was in the city for a conference. The staff was super friendly. He offered me a quiet room at the back, which was very nice and helpful as the days were busy. The hotel had some refurbishing, but it was quiet and clean. The room was amazing, spacious, and cozy.

Good location. Very clean and nice pleasant staff.

No kettle in the room. Had room on the front but bc it was hot weather we had windows open as not keen on A/C but had to close bc of traffic and passer by noise, which is no fault of the hotel.
