A "boutique" hotel, perfectly located on the lower edge of the touristy part of the island. 2 minutes to bikini beach in the north, 5 to the restaurants etc. in the south. The staff were extremely helpful in pointing us in the best direction for meals, trips and general information. For diving, Maafushi Dive is next door, and for other trips we/they recommend Maldives Fellas or Shadowpalm. For meals, the nearby Velana beach was a significant cut above the rest (and we tried many) and Moonlight for drinks at the southern end is wonderful. Our room was right under the rooftop restaurant yet even being high season, noise was no issue at any time (which was my main concern based on some reviews). The room was always cleaned and fresh towels and water provided when requested. An excellent evening of chilled live music was a first for them while we were staying and very successful. Overall superb, and we'd definitely stay again.

Breakfasts were a little on the basic side but fine, and for the price more than what you could reasonably expect. We'd just had a few days on a private island costing 3× as much so it's unfair to compare.

What makes Lea spa great is its staff. Soon after meeting Mr. Musa at the jetty, you would know you are in good hands. The reception staff is very nice and friendly. One restaurant staff, Mr. Raju really stood out for us and we really loved his service and recommendations. The other restaurant staff was great too. From check in to check out, everything was well organized for us. We are glad to book the seaview room. The room is not only clean and spacious but the view is beautiful. Everything was same as picture of booking.com Breakfast was really good. They would mostly have the same item everyday with one or two items changed. The restaurant set up is very nice and ideal for watching the sunset. The restaurant food is priced reasonably, not the cheapest but definitely of good value when price and quantity is compared. Taste is good too. Maafushi is small and you cannot go wrong booking any place. Still, I think the location of lea spa is really great. It suited us well. Everything you need is 1 min away. The property also accepts card payment (except for transfer) although it says in booking.com that they only accept cash. It was a great advantage for us

Well, there are still few things that could be improved but really are no major concern. Firstly, there is only one trash can which is in the washroom and is very small. The WiFi can be improved too. It's a little weak. I cannot fault anything else. Everything else was perfect. And the next thing, I will say is not really a complaint. The amenities stated cable tv and we said we wanted to watch the fifa world cup. The staff was very quick to respond and fixed the cable tv in a day but unfortunately they took the package that did not have the world cup channel. But, they were so nice that they tried to find links for us to watch the world cup and also suggested us many places where we could watch for free on the big screen.

Good facilities with a bathtub to relax. Sea view is quite impressive. Staffs are very friendly and supportive.

I was very impressed about this place. Customer service at very high level. The room was clean, water was hot and everyone was kind. Recommended!

Was the most wonderful stay from start to finish. The location was seconds from the beach with a beautiful sea view from the room, hygienic and pleasant facilities, great breakfast & panorama terrace. Staff & owner were extremely helpful and went out of their way for us. Went above & beyond our expectations, highly recommend this gem of a property.

From the minute we arrived at this place until the minute we checked out, it was a very pleasant experience for us. We initially booked to stay for 4 nights and ended up extending our stay for an extra 5 nights. Staff - Sooooo friendly. Everyone took the time to talk to us, help us and answer any questions we have at all about our stay. The chef was kind to prepare us breakfast even though we were 1 hour late one morning. Jan (the owner) gave us a lot of tips about getting about and around the island. The receptionists, house keeping, and waiters were helpful and always smiling. They even went out of their way to get what we needed from the pharmacy due to a little water sports injury. Room - Amazing!!!!!! Spacious, cozy and urban vibes. We didn't get to enjoy rooftop terrace much due to weather but would have been an amazing spot for unset evenings! Location - located in the centre of the island, easy access to pretty much everything you could need. You get amazing view of the sea from certain rooms. Go and stay there!!!

Location was amazing. Everything needed was on walking distance. Very centric and, it was not noisy as other main parts of the island. Staff were great.

Balcony was not what was expected. a bit narrow and view was limited. Breakfast is very basic and if you are not early, the food is cold and not as fresh.

Outstanding hotel. I came here with my family and we had the most amazing time here. The staff is so kind and caring and made us looked after at all times (especially Sally and Moosa). We got the deluxe room with the sea view, and the view is absolutely gorgeous. Perfect for sunsets. The rooms are big, airy, and very very comfortable. Bathrooms are also nicely done. The hotel is located centrally and the beach is literally downstairs. Plenty of nice restaurants around. The area is very calm and peaceful which is good for sleeping well. The hotel also arranged various excursions (via Vela Trips, highly recommended!!) for us which were absolutely amazing. We saw whales, dolphins, manta rays, sharks etc and explored some local islands. There's an open air restaurant on the rooftop with great vibes. Free breakfast and it is delicious. The hotel arranges speedboat transfers to and fro Male airport, so getting in and out is no hassle. All in all, an exceptional experience staying here. There are other bigger hotels in Maafushi, but they're too commercial. If you want a nice, cozy stay and want to be cared for, I would suggest you stay in this hotel. You will have the time of your life.
