I used the hotel for an overnight on a cycling adventure. I had told the hotel in advance I was bringing my bike and the reception staff were informed and ready to show me where to store it (inside and very safe). I was in a single room which was generous in size and very clean. I don't know if there were guests in the next rooms but I didn't hear anyone all night. Breakfast is served from 7am, perfect for an early riser like me. All the staff were attentive and professional. Lots of nice places to sit with a drink and enjoy the view too.

The breakfast was really good, both the cold buffet and the hot food, however they had run out of smoked salmon at breakfast. #firstworldproblems

We chose to stay last minute and so glad we did. Was only overnight but worth it. The bed was so comfortable i didn't want to check out! The shower was amazing and clean. The view we had was exceptional. We decided to have a meal and I'm so glad we did. I had the Yorkshire pudding for starter, and it was beautiful. Had the fillet steak, and it was cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend the steak! 5 star for the meal, i couldn't compliment the chef anymore, so we decided to have breakfast. The breakfast set us up for the day and again tasted amazing. A huge shout out to Erin, who took our order. I am an extremely anxious person, and she made me feel at ease and comfortable, I felt like I'd known her for years. She was very polite, down to earth, made us laugh, and an all round wonderful person. When we checked in, the receptionist was so welcoming, and my only regret was I never got her name. The only fault I have is the tv. It had no WiFi, so we couldn't watch nexflix and other channels, but apart from that, that's all I have. We loved this hotel so much we booked to stay again before we left. Well done banff springs hotel. You exceeded our expectations and more.

The room was very nice with a modern bathroom. It was quiet and I like being able to open a window.

The Extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work, I mentioned it to one of the house staff in the morning. For a 4 star hotel I was disappointed to have only 1 bog standard tea bag, and the cheapest instant coffee. There did not seem to be a choice of pillows which you get in cheaper hotels. We chose not to eat in the restaurant as the menu seemed under-whelming.

The location and hotel overall was great. Watching the sunset from the hotel was spectacular. Transport links were good (bus & petrol station). Food was excellent, although service not particularly warm as mentioned. View from our room did not disappoint and definitely got what we paid for there - although some items were a bit dated. Knowing the name of the person who cleaned the room was a nice touch.

We didn't feel too much warmth from the staff after coming so far, but we did see this towards other guests which was a bit sad. No curiosity about why we were there or stopping to chat etc, which would have made our trip.

We stayed in the gilmore suite and the room was exceptional. The view you get is breathtaking. The bed was super comfy, I didn't want to leave the room. We also had a meal and the meal was outstanding. The staff were so friendly and nice, cannot fault anyone!!!

The price for the room is a bit steep, however, your paying for the view. We stayed for 2 nights. Would stay in the same room again if the price went down a bit

Room was outstanding and up to expectations! Hotel was beautiful inside however the outside building didn’t look as good as the inside does believe me don’t be disappointed as the saying goes don’t judge a book by its cover!

Having to pay for breakfast (even though we missed it we got refunded) could have been an added extra for the price of the room as one night cost us £215

Room was as described and all I needed for my trip, didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that but the evening meals were delicious

Only one staff member seemed as though she couldn’t be bothered being there and seemed put out when I asked 10 minutes after my booked time for supper of if I could see the menu

I had a room with a spectacular view. felt very safe as a lone traveller. I ate in the restaurant at night, it took over an hour & 15 mins to get served, they were very busy, so that was a little frustrating. But would definitely stay again

There was nothing I didnt like, it was clean, comfortable and the staff were very nice.

Everything apart from Booking.com ripping me off

If Booking.com had played fair, I would not have used them - they told me I had saved some money (I think it was about £18 pounds) when I confirmed my booking through them. When I went to the hotel, I discovered I had actually LOST nearly £16 by using Booking.com. Not at all impressed.

The hotel is modern, clean and rooms are well appointed. My small single en suite room had all I needed for the two nights I stayed and the bar and restaurant areas are nice places to eat and drink with nice views over Banff Links to Whitehills. Staff at reception were very helpful including the night porter who let me in and got me a glass of water to take to my room at 4am. Although the hotel is on the edge of town, with Banff not being big, its still easy to walk into town, down to the sea or to other places of interest.

Although informed of this at the time of booking, the wedding music from the function room can easily be heard in the room although it was over by 1am.
