Loved the atmosphere and 20 second walk straight onto the beach. Nice rooms, well stocked with a fridge, kettle and mosquito nets over the bed. The shower was the best we had anywhere in Sri Lanka, good pressure and hot. It was peaceful and The owner was friendly and we'd stay here again. The friendly dogs were lovely to see them looking happy and fed.. We slept well apart from a huge thunderstorm in the night, everyone was friendly. Using the bar and dinner facilities were nice, breakfast was good, vegans are catered for with prior notice

Located between Coconut tree hill and Parrot Rock, this hotel is an ideal base for exploring Mirissa. We took a morning walk to the fish market one morning & got back in time for a delicious breakfast. Breakfast is a highlight- Sri Lankan rotis/hoppers depending on the day of week. There was fresh baked bread by on-site chef for western style breakfast, if preferred. Happy hour in the afternoon. Really liked the clove scent of a well-cleaned room that greeted us. Many thanks to Shiromi and Ganga for their gentle & warm hospitality. You made us feel most welcome 🙏🏼

Everything!!! The location is perfect! Wonderful little beach right on the door step, kind and welcoming friendly staff, nothing is too much trouble. The food was absolutely delicious 😋 fresh fish dishes prepared in a very clean kitchen, from a boat that they send out each day. The bar is a wonderful relaxing place to enjoy a beer in the evening. And great breakfast! Located directly on the beach between parrot rock, 10 mins walk along the beach, and coconut hill, 20 mins walk… both worth a stroll along to see. The rooms are large, very clean, have all you need, large clean bathrooms, air con, fridge kettle ect. What more do you need? Will definitely be back again in September!

A fabulous location right on the beach - turtle beach, named that for a reason. Getting to swim with turtles right from your accommodation!!! The food was incredible, especially breakfast which was included. The staff were super helpful from the moment we arrived and even once we had checked out, they assisted us with hiring a tuk tuk and driver for the day, to take a trip up the beaches and towns to Galle. The free snorkel and lounger hire is a massive bonus to the accommodation. We loved the vibe and would love to come back!! Also it is so close to mirissa, it's perfect for walking to coconut hill for sunset and up into mirissa or to mirissa beach.

Great little beach resort in perfect location. We had a room right above the restaurant, very spacious, like a suite, built from beautiful teak wood with amazing views over the beach and the sea. I went snorkeling with turtles every morning. Snorkeling equipment and beach towels were provided. It's only a short walk from Mirissa, but we decided to eat most meals in the resort. The food was very good and they make very good pizza in a proper pizza oven. The owner Dilan couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. I wanted to buy some Sri Lankan mosquito nets and within minutes of me telling him, he got a tailor to make them for me for a very good price. Everyone was very friendly and made us feel like friends in the short time we were there. Would love to come back one day

We absolutely loved our 2 night stay here. We had a sea view room & it was so lovely watching the waves & fishermen & swimmers from our balcony. The room was huge, a very comfortable bed with mosquito nets. All amenities, fridge, tea & coffee making facilities. Plugs next to the bed. Safe etc. The bathroom was like a wet room with slate & really nicely done. Our breakfast was different both mornings. The first morning a buffet & second, a freshly cooked omelette with lots of other delicacies brought on a plate. Filling & absolutely delicious. The owners & staff were amazing, couldn’t do enough for you. They make amazing pizzas on wood fired stoves. The sun beds were available, but due to the rough weather the sea was very high & not a huge amount of beach. We did spend a day on one of the day beds with lots of lovely swimming. They loaned us beach towels. We saw some turtles on the water, but the conditions weren’t brilliant to spot them. On leaving we asked to buy the T shirts & were given them!!! What a wonderful place, highly recommend.

Turtle Bay Beach Resort is a family owned and run guest house that make you feel at home the minute you arrive. Friendly, helpful, professional, kind and so accommodating. Their deluxe rooms are the best value with balcony and beach views.

This was not a problem for us, as we love the sound of the ocean. But if you are wanting a peaceful, quiet sleep, then this beachfront location next to a surf break with waves often crashing may be an issue.

Nice location on the beach with a relaxed atmosphere. The staff was very helpful and kind. The breakfast was good. We saw sea turtles swimming straight in front of the hotel, mission accomplished this is why we came here. Better then a lot of other hotels and beaches in Mirissa. The beach here got a bit busy, but not too crowded.

Bathrooms could be cleaner and better, but still acceptable considering location and type of hotel. Price a bit high considering the facilities, but we were here between Christmas and New Year. The entrance from the main road is a mess.

We stayed in this hotel for 8 nights and it was like home! Everything was super good! The beach is the best in Mirissa. Swimming with big turtles every day, waves were very calm - very good conditions for children. In one evening we saw the big turtle coming to lay eggs. The breakfast was very good, the restaurant in the hotel is also good. We got the room better than we booked and it was very big with 2 big comfortable beds - very convenient light and super view to the ocean from the balcony. The owner and manager are very very nice people who love children and know how to make everything for guests to have an ideal holiday! If I come back to Sri Lanka one day - I will stay only in this hotel!

This place was just the best! We had such a great time. Our rooms were clean and spacious - and beautifully designed - very wooden and authentic. We stumbled downstairs to the restaurant which served great food. And then we stumbled 5 metres further and we’re swimming with turtles! Mirissa has changed over the years and is much more commercial than it used to be. This place is tucked around the corner, and is much more authentic Sri Lanka. And the people were just fabulous - they made us feel so welcome and looked after us so well (and made an extra effort with the kids). We’ll definitely be back, thanks so much.
