The room was comfortable and quite big. The AC unit was a bit noisy and old but it still worked which was the main thing! The pool was wonderful and our favourite thing about the hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Though we only went to the restaurant onsite once, it was really good and the staff were really nice, the service was quick and the food tasty. Though the breakfast wasn't the most luxurious, there was a decent amount of choice and the coffee was very good. The service at the breakfast was also very good - we were greeted with a high chair ready for us each morning.

The location is a little bit out of the way, so if we were to visit again in the future we would rent a car. Even though there are lots of nice places to eat in walking distance, there are almost no footpaths and it's really hot to walk around.

Pool area, atmosphere, and the lady in the night reception was lovely on our check out since she managed to get a taxi for us even though it was hard during that time on the early morning. Also lady in the pool area was nice and friendly. The area surrounding the villa was beautiful.

Air conditioning was a bit loud during the night so it was difficult to sleep properly, doors in the hotel room had to be pushed hard to close so they kept noise whenever you had to leave or come to the room. Breakfast could change during the week so there would be different variety during your stay. There was a road behind the hotel so you could here cars/scooters during night if your room is on that side.

The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed . The breakfast was generous with plenty of choice and attentive service . We were so grateful that there is a good restaurant next door which meant that we did not always have to go back into Lucca for our meals. The hotel is beautifully set in well managed gardens and a pool , the birds sing too! There is an interesting display of art and artefacts which makes the hotel feel like a lovely villa.

Nothing really , we did not manage the safe in the room as the instructions did not seem to match our model but we did not bother about that. We also had an outbreak of ants but they were cleaned away so no complaints at all.

Absolutely beautiful hotel in a stunning peaceful setting. Family rooms big and spacious with decent storage. Great air conditioning was our saviour in the heat. Supermarket 5 minute walk away which was very cheap. Some good restaurants and takeaways nearby but not great to walk to with very little pavement. Staff always more than helpful, especially Guido, Susan and the lovely Italian Scottish lady (apologies we didn’t get her name). We had a 3am start for our return flight and were offered a coffee and small breakfast which was amazing especially as travelling with children. Overall loved our stay and would definitely recommend and return.

Such a shame the hotel is really quite remote from Lucca. Buses are very cheap which is great, but run less than every hour and finish at 8pm. So getting home from Lucca later on is a real challenge, taxis difficult to book and cost 23 euros!! So absolutely recommend having a hire car. Taxis so expensive in general, no Uber. Forced to pay 120 euros to Pisa airport due to a very early flight and no public transport. Mosquito repellent a must as we got bitten really quite badly. Rooms facing the back of the hotel are noisy with much more traffic and noise than you’d expect. But thankfully we were able to move to a front facing room, which was much quieter other than the noise from people walking around upstairs.

great setting, clean tidy and relaxing, a good stop off point. the pool was great as the weather was really hot. the pool attendant is amusing and a great help. the restaurant next door is independent of the hotel and reasonably priced. It wasn't open on a Thursday which was disappointing. Free parking which is a bonus when traveling around Europe

Near by commercial units. You would not know they were there as the hotel is surrounded by trees which screen noise and any sight of them

Swimming pool was a big highlight absolutely stunning.

Air con!! Ive never heard anything as loud as this. It was like a washing machine on a full spin. Whilst the room was clean there were marks all over the walls so much dust under the bed. The tv had no English options, even YouTube would have been enough.

Really nice hotel. Set back from the road in a quiet location. Lovely pool, great outdoor eating options for both breakfast and dinner. Breakfast really good and ate at restaurant one evening. Food was very good quality. Staff were really helpful and professional, nothing seemed too much trouble. Would love to come back again.

One very slight moan was that during the hot summer months the air conditioning in the room was not very effective and seemed very old. The shutters were used to good effect to keep the sun out so it didn't detract too much from the overall experience which was an extremely positive one.

We booked it same day we arrived, and had medium expectations. Gorgeous hotel environment, fantastic rooms, superb restaurant in the same building. The personnel were super service minded. Was also recommended a pizzeria close by with ”high end pizzas” that also was fantastic. Felt like I was at a five star hotel.

Lovely hidden hotel just on the outskirts of Lucca. Beautiful garden and swimming pool area, helpful and kind staff and very clean. We stayed in a quadruple room which was very specious and with very comfortable beds. Very large bathroom as well. The breakfast was fresh and delicious! We can only highly recommend it.

Nice reception service in 24hours. Room is not big space but have nice lobby and outdoors. It's very convenient by bus to Lucca center. By car to Pisa is also acceptable time for half day. And great recommendation to walk to two bars left and right dirextion. Hotel restaurant is common but nice wine. When we staying There's lots of tourist and more people the breakfast is quite good but last day is basic.
