Wonderful place to stay, we stayed 3 nights in the twin room. Had tea/coffee facilities in the room, a decent sized ensuite bathroom. The beds were comfortable and warm. The staff were very friendly from check-in to the complimentary breakfast service we received. The breakfast was fantastic, a filling and delicious full english that we took full advantage of each morning we were there. Couldn't rate the reception staff, chef, or housekeeper any higher, and we wished we could have stayed longer. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic location and perfectly convenient for our short break to Salisbury, food was delicious and the host team was great. The pub is perfectly described as a true country inn with everything you could need. Pricing was considerate of the slightly worn in accommodation and could be updated a little, but the bed was good, the shower powerful and everything was where you would need it, if there was a complaint it would be the breakfast choice! But, that said, English breakfast was advertised and that’s what we received… Would definitely visit again.

Nothing.

Breakfast was lovely, location is lovely, people working in the hotel were lovely, the ambience, accommodation and facilities were all lovely. What made it exceptional were the amalgam of all of the above stated elements which lead to me to give my experience a 9.2 out of 10. If its of any importance to the reader of this review at all, I would never rate anywhere a full 10 as it doesn't exist, its a superlative I would not rate anywhere except for my own home.

Nothing

A warm welcome was received on arrival. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant served very good quality food in the evening and the Full English breakfast was both tasty and more than sufficient.

I raised the issue of night lighting in the accommodation block because on entering it, it was dark. The switch is on the left hand wall below two master switches, about 6 feet up and not evident in any way. The following morning I raised this with Olivia [host]. My suggestion was/would be a Photo Electric cell externally to switch the lighting on/off automatically, whilst incorporating led bulbs with an extremely nominal running cost in place of the existing lamps. It would also overcome the situation of coming out of a room overnight and again having to locate a light switch on the landing.

The pub and restaurant were really good. Best lasagna we have ever had! Walking distance to Mousehole and nice quiet neighborhood near a lovely church with bells. Quaint little town and place. Our room was lovely and nicely up dated , good value for your money.

One of our beds was a bit saggy but not a big deal as there was a couple of beds in the room.

Really nice and idyllic place near Salisbury. I really liked the atmosphere and the local beer (house draft) was good too. I also liked the home cooked italian dishes that were served up, it was simple done well. The room was nice, everything was clean and comfortable for me. It was also near where I needed to work the next day, which is ideal when servicing equipment and had a decent car park.

The key is a bit strange for the room, it's like a wooden baton. but i'm just 'nit picking here'. The shower pressure was a bit low, not really an issue.

Upon arriving, we had some car problems that could have messed up our schedule... a saturday evening so no way to find a garage. Luke, who was filling in for a few days at The Barford Inn, turned out to have worked as a mechanic and he fixed the car so that we could safely continue our journey. Rest of the staff equally friendly, great breakfast! Thank you!!!

Nothing!

Barford Inn is a quaint and welcoming little harbour of peace. One cannot help thinking they have kept the spirit of old time coaching houses going when, weary of driving long distances, one finds here the cardinal comforts of a professional welcome, a bright and spotlessly clean bedroom, an excellent bed and, in the morning, a sound breakfast.

The food , the people , Ben , Karen , Bogden the chef and his wife were all great . Nothing was too much to ask for. This place is probably over looked by people and it should not be .

Not enough time there

Clean, comfortable. Lovely pub in a great location.

I received a number of probable scam emails relating to the booking. Although I rang the property to inform them and to confirm my booking was secure, I think some written assurance would have been helpful.
