This little gem of a place is quite amazing. Not only were the owners very kind and friendly, the rooms were amazing. This is by far the cleanest motel room I have ever been in. The beds are amazing. Those sheets are high quality and so soft! The pillow were perfect. Don’t let the 2 star rating fool you. This is as good as several Hotels I’ve stayed in the past.some really nice high class touches in the rooms. I will definitely stay here again. Can’t say enough good things about this place.

It is a great location to rest your tired body after finishing your schedule at Ruby Beach. Thanks to the kind owner, I had a pleasant night. It was very warm and cozy. There were two TVs in each room, so the kids didn't fight, and the kitchen had everything I needed to cook. I don't know when it will be, but if I come to Seattle again, I will definitely spend a day there. In particular, the consideration of the Korean owner touched my whole family. We will remember her for a long time. It's the best. And the beds are especially comfortable^^

I've said it before, and I'll continue to say it: this is, hands down, the best hotel in town to stay at! The owners are amazing and wonderful people! The rooms are always nice, clean, comfy and cozy! You feel welcomed from the moment you check in until you check out! I've stayed at multiple places in the area and continue to return to the Shiny Motel as often as I can! Trust me, you won't regret your stay!

I can NOT stress this enough: there is nothing to not like about this place! It is fantastic! And they have multiple options available if you're traveling alone or with friends and family!

Going to the Shiny Motel is like going home :). The owners are incredibly friendly and caring. Everything is exactly as described plus you get that homey feeling like the cute little garden, complimentary water, coffee, and owners that are going the extra mile to accommodate you. It’s a simple motel, but has all you need and is sparkling clean! I absolutely recommend it and will definitely stop here when in the area!

Fully equipped for any length of time- a larger sized mini fridge & freezer, microwave, coffee pot, coffee, and water (from the lobby)! The bed was really comfortable and I slept like a champ! Very clean and comfortable! The owners are BEYOND exceptional - truly warm, welcoming, hospitable and committed to the comfort of my stay! It was a wonderful experience and I absolutely recommend this little gem! There is a nice little area to gather or sit alone with your thoughts away from the rooms if you smoke or just want to sit outside. It would make a great place for reunions or family gatherings to stay. They are in the process of remodeling too! It had everything I needed and you just can’t beat the price! Close to many great food options and not far from the beaches. Very quiet too, everyone was very respectful.

The motel sits off of a road that produces a good amount of road noise - this was the only “downside” but it surprisingly didn’t bother me much - I’m including it for fyi.

Have been to this motel a few times and it’s one of my favourite. Rooms are super clean and have everything you need. The new owners are very friendly and committed to make you feel welcome. About the room: the mattress was incredibly comfortable, everything was spotless, there was a new microwave, a big minifridge, and plenty of soft towels. Can’t wait to be back in summer use the cute outdoor area!

The room wasn’t the most spacious, but had everything you need. Also, depending were you are sleeping you might hear cars on the 101 at night. All in all, these are very minor things and I absolutely recommend this motel!!!

The new owners are the best owners/managers that you could ever meet. They have become our friends in such a short time. The owners Mrs. Jackie and Mr. Martin could not have been more accommodating. They bent over backwards to make us feel at home. The accomodations are old but they have awesome plans to update as they just took over operations. While we were there they already started updating many amenities. If you have any problems, they will make it right. Just talk to them. They really do care. The cleaning staff are incredible and make every effort to make your stay as clean and comfortable as possible. We will be back!!!!

The old units are small and outdated but the price makes up for it. The owners are updating the rooms to be newer and fresher. Their plans are gonna be amazing to see.

The staff went over the top to make our stay comfortable. The room was a little small but had everything we needed. Blackout curtains worked great. The room had a microwave and refrigerator.

The bed was more firm than my back likes but everyone has different bed needs so I always know there could be an issue there. The fan in the bathroom was VERY loud and woke me up in the middle of the night when husband turned the light on. You couldn't turn the light on without the fan coming on.

The new owners are delightful and accommodating. Happy to chat and recommend local day trips and restaurants if you ask but overall very respectful of guest privacy. Rooms, bedding, and towels were some of the cleanest I have ever seen in a hotel. Comfy mattress. Good coffee. Water pressure and temperature were decent and consistent. We had to deal with unexpected car trouble and ended up staying much longer than anticipated but the weekly rates were more than reasonable. I enjoyed the eclectic outdoor decorations, plants, and covered sitting/smoking/cookout section. It felt very cozy, like we were staying with friends. Surrounding neighborhood on edge of town was quiet and peaceful, never felt personally unsafe or worried about my car, several security cameras were visible around the lot and building exterior. I was very pleased overall with the value for the price, would especially recommend for single travelers or couples.

The rooms are very small and the building is old, but the owners just bought the property and are already making improvements. The things that bothered me the most were the many nail and tack holes in the walls, limited number of wall outlets, and the greasy feeling I got from the carpet. I would have preferred if the curtains had been a little longer and more substantial, maybe an extra black out or room darkening layer would have helped. The interior decor and paint need an update. The bathroom gets a substantial amount of road noise from the highway but the bedroom was relatively quiet. A few convenience stores were within walking distance but no restaurants.

Shiny Motel feels more like a cozy guesthouse than a typical motel. The hosts were incredible friendly, and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Though the courtyard is small, the rooms are very clean, tidy, and well-equipped. The double-bed room had everything you needed. Highly recommend stop here one night before drive back to Seattle if you are planning a visit to Olympic National Park.
