Great location in Strandhill with lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance and easy to walk to beach down the hill and watch the surfers. Lots of walks nearby and Knocknarea with Maeve’s cairn atop sitting just behind the property.There is a fairly steep path leading you up the 1.2km route to the summit and when we were there in June 2025 the path was supposedly closed due to storm damage but some local people said it was fine and just proceed with care over the bit where a storm had felled some trees that knocked over the railway sleeper stepped path.

The breakfast was good but there isn’t an option for full hot Irish breakfast which I think is a shame seeing as this country does fantastic cooked breakfast and we missed the black and white pudding!

Very comfortable, staff were excellent and the added bonus of the lovely breakfast each morning was wonderful. Large room with a great bed and cotton sheets meant a great nights sleep too. We thoroughly enjoyed the sunsets from the balcony. The walk down to Strandhill itself was short and we stuck gold with beautiful weather so it meant we could be outdoors most of the time each day. We had a lovely meal at the Venue next door on our first night. The hotel reception has excellent free maps for local walks and further info should you need it. We would love to come back sometime. Thank you to the staff for making our stay so special and memorable.

A fantastic accommodation in the heart of Strandhill with great comfortable rooms and very friendly staff. I booked rooms to accommodate myself and my groomsmen for my wedding in Strandhill the next morning and after getting into our suits and checking out we left our suit bags behind accidentally. The management at the Hotel very kindly located and dropped these suit bags into town for us. Very much appreciated gesture and great customer service

I have travelled all around Ireland as a solo traveller and this has by far been my favourite place. I had a bright clean room,with a very comfortable bed and a bath and a door out to the patio which was a great bonus to be able to just step outside to smoke at night time and not have to go through the whole building. The staff were exceptionally friendly, with beautiful breakfast in a bright, clean room in the mornings. I originally booked for 1 night and ended up staying 4. Just a few minutes walk to the beach. It was a great break in the winter. Off peak is a whole different experience in strandhill. I would highly recommend this accommodation

Nothing I didn't love about this place

We loved everything: the spacious room, the convenient parking, the especially large and very comfortable double bed, the spacious balcony with the amazing view, the delicious breakfast, the delicious food in the restaurant very close to the hotel and especially the attentive, kind, patient and wholeheartedly helpful attitude of David, the hotel manager, and Sian, the receptionist. They did everything they knew and could to help us solve the problem we had with the rental car. They also directed us to great hiking trips in the area and the detailed explanations that David sent before we arrived at the hotel show that the concern for the guests' well-being and leisure time is at the center of his attention. David also sets a personal example for the entire team and works together with them in every area. We could see that the hotel is functioning perfectly and the entire staff is very caring and helpful in everything. You all do a really good job and we would definitely like to stay with you again.

This is a really nice hotel with very comfy beds and great sized rooms. We had everything we needed and there was always someone on reception to answer any questions. The breakfast is a good continental with cereal, pasties, eggs and fruit - it suited us perfectly. Both rooms had a door to small seating area overlooking the bay which would have been gorgeous if it hadn't been raining so hard! It's about a 10-15 minute walk down to the seafront where there are cafes, bars and some small shops. There's a decent pub next door where we had an excellent dinner (The Venue) and probably other bars close by which we didn't have the chance to explore. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed their surfing lesson and it was a lovely relaxing experience to visit the seaweed baths. The scenery is breathtaking and would be great to explore further.

Not much. I would liked to have been slightly closer to the seafront, but it wasn't a long walk down. Sadly, the hotel owners couldn't change the weather!

Nothing really. Note although they don't provide hot food ,the continental breakfast is excellent and fabulous choice.

We found the room spacious and well maintained with a comfortable bed and a nice view over the golf course and the sea. The continental breakfast was quiet substantial with a good choice available. However it was the reception staff who stood out for me with their friendly and helpful care for you from arrival to departure.

The one thing that I did not like was that while the room was cleaned each day and the towels replaced our bed was not made. But this seems to be the practice in a lot of hotels nowadays.

We have stayed with you many times before and especially love the location, warm welcome , big comfy bed. and the bath.

We were in rm 107..our second time in this room and both times it has been unbearably hot. We opened the windows, made sure the radiator etc is off and even tried leaving the sliding outside door open but couldn't bring the temperature down at all. Gadget on the wall for regulating temperature (?) didn't seem to be working either. Also.. the shower head is broken and needs repaired as the water files out at right angles.

Fab hotel with amazing views of the ocean from the balcony. No food served in the hotel, but provided a list of recommendations of places to eat when booking. Popular restaurant next door. Hotel is on a hill overlooking the town that is just a short walk away but also has regular bus service going to/from Sligo Town that passes round the corner from the hotel entrance. Only stayed for 1 night during our trip along the WAW but wish we has stayed longer as would have been an ideal base for exploring. Loved the Voga Seaweed baths on the beach front.
