From the moment we arrived, the receptionist was exceptional, very friendly checked in very quickly. Room was lovely, big enough for 3 of us with water in fridge, espresso machine, hairdryer etc. Breakfast lovely - best tea !! Ate in restaurant one night, staff excellent very quick to seat us, mix up with food order but staff were great and gave us a complementary drink for our wait. Food lovely. Overall I have no hesitation in recommending. Also so near the sea for morning walks and evening for drinks in the local!

Nothing, no pool but didn't miss that with beach on your doorstep.

On arrival, it was discovered our booking was cancelled by mistake. I had originally booked for a room in the hotel. The reception staff offered us the cottage completely free of charge, as well as free breakfast and a complimentary drink each at the bar. We stayed in the cottage at the rear of the hotel, facing the beach. It was spacious and both bedrooms had ensuite bathrooms. Free parking was readily available either in the indoor car park or outside the hotel. The hotel is centrally located in Enniscrone and easy to find. It is right across from the beach.

A male staff member in the breakfast restaurant called me back in when I was leaving and said I needed to pay for my breakfast. Earlier when getting my coffee, I noticed him standing over my table and looking at the key I had left there from the cottage. I advised him that reception said breakfast was included and he told me this is not the case as my name was not on his list. I explained the issue with the booking and gave my name when he asked, so he could follow this up if he wishes. I understand that he may have been unaware of the booking mistake, but he handled the situation very unprofessionally compared to the reception staff.

My recent overnight away with my girlfriend at the Ocean Sands Hotel started with a bit of a hitch, as check-in was delayed by over an hour with no updates provided. I had to proactively inquire about the situation myself, which was a little frustrating. However, once I spoke with Gary, the manager, things quickly turned around. He was very helpful and efficiently sorted everything out for me. I eventually got into my room, and it was lovely! The room was nice, and the balcony was a great size, offering a comfortable space to relax. We left the hotel and travelled across the coastline for the day. Later that evening, I headed to the bar for a few drinks with my partner. It was nice and quiet, which was perfect for unwinding. The highlight of the night, though, was meeting Evan Folliard, the night porter. He was an absolute gentleman and a fantastic worker. He was very friendly and very chatty and he managed to get all his work and cleaning done while entertaining me and my partner, I most of spent a good portion of the night into the early morning chatting to Evan Instead of heading back to the room and sleeping - he was an absolute savage laugh, and knows how to pour a proper pint of the black stuff 👌🏻Thanks to Gary for sorting everything out for us and thank you to Evan folliard for making the end of the day that much better, 2 assets to the company, fair play lads 👌🏻anyway...  Overall, despite the initial delay, Gary and Evan's excellent service made for a memorable and enjoyable stay, until next time.. 💪🏻

Maybe a few updates for customers waiting wouldn't go astray

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, well equipped. I really liked the toiletries in the bathroom. They smelled so good and my hair and skin felt great after my shower 🙂 Food was really good and the beds were very comfortable. The location was great, close to shops, bars and restaurants and right on the beach.

Our coffee maker was very hard to use, we needed to apply pressure to the machine while operating to get it to work. Room was a bit too warm for the time of year but I guess we should have turned off the radiation sooner. We were told we could/couldn't/ could/ couldn't. .. have food served in the coffee area (as the restaurant was full) before menus were eventually brought and I then had to ask for my drink 3 times before it came. Food was good and service was friendly but there seemed to be a breakdown in communication somewhere.

Staff could not do enough for us. Great room service Front of house and chef specially made up breakfast boxes after our airline rescheduled our flight to a very early morning return flight. Good showers Complimentary passes to nearby activity park. This is a great value and great hotel die to its people. Handy little fridge in room

Niggly bits that were fixed once notified or not deal breakers.. Missing towel rail in bathroom Bath product dispensers empty Fridge turned off!

My family had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful seaside hotel! From the moment they arrived, the staff made them feel welcome and taken care of. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had stunning views of the ocean. They especially loved waking up to the sound of waves and enjoying their morning walks. The location was perfect for all– just steps from the beach and close to all local attractions and restaurants. They made wonderful memories here and can’t wait to return. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The location is brilliant, it is right by the beach so wonderful for walking, swimming etc. There is good parking facilities on site. The staff are very good and attentive. The food in the bar was very good. The rooms are clean and modern with comfortable beds and enough storage etc. Its quite and peaceful. Checking in and out was super easy and quick.

There was no TV remote control and no buttons on the tv so impossible to use the TV when in the room. This was reported to reception but we were told there was nothing that could be done as its a known issue with the tvs The parking needs to be sign posted better as the cafe on the corner is partially blocking the sign The water pressure is very good however it does lead to the bathroom getting covered in water as it's a bit too strong.

Great location, wonderful beach, very comfortable and clean. Great sleep as very comfortable bed and bedding, peaceful location and some nights you can hear the waves. Food was outstanding, breakfast and dinner were superb, couldn't fault it! Meals were consistently good, the produce is top quality and a superb chef(s), Our best ever hotel dining experience for breakfast and dinner. It is rare that hotel food is so fresh and of good quality, well cooked, tasty & wholesome, we loved the food here!

No wifi, we raised the issue but we still had no internet connection for our 4 night stay. Wifi in the garden rooms needs to be improved or else advise that it is not available.

The hotel was lovely and the staff were excellent especially Clayson the night porter was a gentleman came back to the hotel around 1 in the morning to be greeted by Clayson with his lovely smile and a wonderful warm welcoming attitude he welcomed us to the bar for a night cap and a enjoyable interesting conversation staff like him will win over any guest.Thank you to The Ocean Sands Hotel and staff for an enjoyable night away.

Location is superb. Staff are great, friendly and homely. Breakfast is fully self service which really suited us. Fridge in room was great. Kids were given discount / free entry vouchers for local activities. Food and service in restaurant was excellent.

Nearest 50kw fast charger for electric car is 10 mins away ( Ballina) which is good by Ireland's standards. Hotel has 3 newly installed chargers also, these are the only ones I could find in Enniscrone.
