Exceptional lake view from our room. Very clean, well maintained, extra effort to prepare the rooms with towel and paper art. Hotel is walking distance from the bridge and Main Street on the island. Very accessible. Helpful to be able to store our luggage both before check-in time and after checking out early. Complimentary breakfast (Booking.com Genius status). Great value for money. The front desk facilitates currency exchange though only for USD.

Location on the lake front where the pedestrian seawall and Main Street are completely submerged due to sinking land was a bit disconcerting. No fault of the property owners and completely outside of their control, but it does subtract from the beauty and peacefulness of the venue.

Excellent location near to everything on little Flores. The breakfast was really nice in the morning and good choices, including little cake and juice and coffees. It also had a great view looking out on the lake. The airport shuttle caddy is a fantastic free service we were very grateful for. Staff are all super friendly and we booked our Tikal and Yaxha tours through them and they were fab. Rooms are nice and spacious and beds very comfy. We used both the pools available at the sister hotels on the island and this was a lovely touch!

We had some trouble with hot water in the shower and there is a smell of stagnant water, though this is pretty much on the whole island.

The location was wonderful on the lakes edge. Near loads of restaurants. We stayed on top floor next to terrace, a beautiful spot to have a drink and watch the storms roll in. The breakfast was good, a good selection of dishes. Staff are friendly enough given the language break down. Room and bathroom always clean. Use of pools in other hotels was a blessing on hot days.

We had a late flight and asked to pay extra to have a later check out that was refused. The room was not booked out.

The room had a great location with a balcony overlooking the lake. The fee include a good breakfast. They also provided a shuttle service to and from the airport.

They provided two small bottles of water on arrival and did not replenish. The front desk offered to refill from their clean water supply when asked. Found this to be "cheap" as water purchased from a small store near by, was 5Q--around $.70. Ran into this elsewhere. Also when receiving other water from a central source have concerns about the "safety" of the supply-how well do they monitor the cleanliness, how often do they change filters.

We loved our stay at Hotel Villa Del Lago. The staff were friendly and helpful with booking tours and buses. Our room was clean and spacious. It was in a quiet location but walkable to everything. We were able to use the pool at their sister hotels which was fab.

There was a power cut throughout Flores for one of the days we were there. The hotel didn’t have a generator so there was no running water and electricity until 8:30pm. Not their fault that there was no electricity, but some light would have been appreciated, maybe candles or electric lights.

We had 2 rooms with the lake view. Well, the view is fantastic. We were leaving for Tikal and the sunrise on the lake was breathtaking. The rooms are large and beds are very comfortable. The staff packed our breakfast to go which helped get us ready for a day of Tikal exploration. The hotel is 2 minute walk to the "I Love Peten" sign from which most of Tikal tours leave and 10 minutes ride to the airport which the hotel provided a shuttle for. We were very happy with our stay and recommend to any traveler going to Flores and Tikal.

We had a room with balcony and a beautiful lake view at the 3 rd floor . The hotel is without elevator but staff brought our luggage in the room due that we arrived very early at 6.00 In the morning we checked in. because we came from Guatamala, and left immediately for the tour to Tikal. Very helpful and polite. The helped us with the immigration issues and we went to the Mexican consulate in Peten to cross the border again to Messico because their website didn’t work to fill out the form . We paid $ 40 border fee for only trespassing the border of Belize And at the end we filled out everything at the Messican border at Corazal and had to pay over €80 for 2 extra days in Messico till we leave for Italy again( you can stay 7 days for free as a tourist when you arrive again after the 7th day you need to pay $700 pesos daily ..Very disappointing surprise at the end of our holiday in Guatamala . The only noise we heard was from the helicopter service flying over the lake.

The location and price cost ratio is really good. The bed and room was comfortable. We liked the view to the lake and it is possible to use the pool of two other hotels that are located at the other side of the street! Really cool! Every day they make the bed and provide new towels, really good. At the breakfast it’s possible to select between different options, where the American breakfast was the best choice (including fruits)

The Breakfast is just a small portion and on one day there was no milk. It was a little hard to communicate sometimes as our Spanish is solid, but not perfect.

one bed in the room was super hard which wasn’t that comfy. we were also told in advance that there wasn’t an extra charge to have 3 people in the room with a double and single bed. but then they charged us when we got there.

I think it was my favorite hotel in Guatemala! It's right on the lake shore, in a charming white building with blue balconies. It has a kind of colonial-Mediterranean feel. We didn't have a view of the lake, but rather of the city. However, I still enjoyed watching people stroll around in the evenings. They also have a terrace overlooking the lake, where you can go to admire the view. And the restaurant where you have breakfast also faces the lake. The room was good, clean, and very comfortable. And the location is excellent, close to the Peten sign, where all transportation departs. The island is small, but those 10-15 minutes still matter when your bus leaves at 05:00 in the morning.
