Every member of the staff we met were excellent, especially the young girls who served us at breakfast. They couldn’t have been better - friendly, attentive, and professional. However, we noticed a woman, who seemed to be the manager, constantly giving them grief. It was uncomfortable to watch, as she appeared to be nitpicking and giving out to them over everything. It didn’t sit well with us, especially since the girls were doing a fantastic job
The hot water in the room was only lukewarm. After a long day, a proper hot shower would have been nice, but it never got past warm. That needs to be fixed.

Definitely get the breakfast package. A combination of menu and buffet items, it's well worth the price and sets you up for taking lovely hikes in the area or on the nearby islands. Or even for a drive along the coast.
This is a weird complaint. The restaurant is known for its seafood and has won awards in the past, but our experience was that while the breakfast dinner was great value with large portions, it just tasted bland. I ordered the cold seafood platter, with a mountain of crab meat, crab claws, mussels, prawns and langoustines, and various salted fish and pate, that somehow missed the mark.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming. There is a complimentary scone and tea or coffee in the bar on arrival. Special thanks to Alana in the bar. Very efficient service from all the staff. The breakfast was great, good buffet selection and table served hot breakfast choices. The hotel and our cottage were spotlessly clean
The cottage decor is quite tired. Our particular mattress was not comfortable. It was neither a spring or a memory foam one and was very hard

3 star Hotel but 5 star experience.. Staff were friendly and hard working..bar food was excellent.. Breakfast was fantastic great choice of everything.. From full Irish to continental buffet.. Great view from room.. Plenty of parking.. Will return soon...
On booking. Com its says free wine and champagne.. The hotel does not honour this but HAS TOLD booking. Com to change it on website. To compensate us the owner gave us a free loaf of lovely brown bread and jam when we went to buy it upon leaving.. Lovely touch.. Will return

Staff great, so friendly & helpful Would recommend getting a room in the hotel if possible. Complimentary scones to take away. Great breakfast Really helpful reception staff
The room we were given was away from the main hotel and on the main road. We asked to upgrade and as we weren't happy, were given a free upgrade to a room with a sea view. A little way from the village and sea

Staff exceptionally helpful; Breakfast excellent; Roast beef dinner(tho' not a roast beef fan) the best I've ever had.
Not much to dislike. One suggestion: I felt that soups and fish dishes were marginally bland and that perhaps they could have benefitted from the addition of a little more black pepper in the preparation. However, that is a minor point.

Loved the seclusion of the lodges, yet only a few yards from the main hotel and all its amenities.Food was excellent (especially the breakfast).,Fabulous views of the harbour from the outdoor dining area at the rear.Staff were also polite and obliging. Less than 10 mins walk to the harbour/village
Nothing in particular stands out..

Great location just a short walk to Baltimore harbour. A very warm welcome with tea and scones . Dinner was delicious, the freshest fish and amazing chowder. A very generous selection of fruit etc for breakfast plus a great cooked option. Exceptional staff, pleasant and well trained.
Nothing!

Very comfortable apartment accommodation at Casey’s. The staff were exceptional and very helpful. Dinner and breakfasts were excellent and the restaurant had lovely views over the sea.
Just one issue which I mentioned at reception - the shower in our bathroom was not as hot as we would have wanted.

What's not to like. However above all the friendliness of the family & staff was exceptional. The food, especially the fish & chips was to die for. It was relaxed & nothing was too much trouble. We will be back. Highly recommend.
My only recommendation would be that the apartment would benefit from a washing machine.
