Small family run hotel, simple furnishings but spotlessly clean, chairs on terrace to relax and look out across to the castle fridge with cold drinks and beers to help yourself and pay at check out is a nice touch Excellent communication from owner on directions and very much appreciated the owner having saved us an easy parking spot on the road below the path to the hotel. Good location for old town Breakfast buffet had usual but a very good selection of jams and the little warm doughnuts that were brought to the table were delicious.

Beautiful hotel, in a central position to visit the charming town of Berat. The hotel is a gem, clean and with a great view. Our room was spacious and really comfortable. We greatly enjoyed the time spent there. The host and staff are extremely kind, attentive to every need - I cannot thank them enough for the kind attentions they had for us! Really appreciated! The breakfast is truly amazing. The staff speaks perfect Italian and English - they offer all the information needed to have a great stay in Berat.

Berat was our favourite place in Albania and Vila Twix is a great place to stay and explore. Comfortable room which has everything we needed, it didn’t have its own balcony but had one outside that you could sit on (shared with 2 others rooms). View was great looking towards the old town. Hosts were friendly and accommodating. This Vila is excellent value for money.

Not a problem for us, but more a FYI - not suitable for those with accessibility issues as entrance is up a steep path that has to be walked.

Excellent location close to main square and main traffic free promenade Superb breakfast and hosts very helpful with information and advice on how to get around etc. Booked a taxi to get us back to Sarander which was very reasonable. All in all very modern facilities and family run who were always around to help.

Some people would not like the adjacent building work but they did not start till 7.30 and had finished by 3. So it did not inconvenience us at all.

Beautiful place, a great location. Breakfast was very nice and staff very friendly. It is very easy to reach and the area feels very safe and close to some great dining places.

The staff tried to communicate with us all day on WhatsApp before arrival about where we had to park. However, we didn't have an internet connection. So they couldn't reach us. I thought it was great how they wanted to help make our arrival as smooth as possible. Maybe just send the information via email upon booking. Well if that is the only think that they could improve, it sure is an amazing place to stay at.

Beautiful place with beautiful views of cathedral. Friendly and helpful owners. Great communication - our flight was delayed and we arrived late at night and there was no problem with check-in. Ideal for short stays.

Not sure about how ideal is the location for families with small kids as the house rule is not to speak loudly and quietness in general. But necessary to add that our 3yrs old didn't get reprimanded. But we also stayed just 1night.

Hotel Villa Twix provided a wonderful stay in Berat. The service was kind and friendly from start to finish. The room was clean and comfortable (super comfy beds) and there is a lovely view from the terrace. Location is right in the centre and an easy walk to great restaurants and bars. Highly recommend!

We highly recommend Hotel Villa Twix! (Read positives below :)) But if we could make a suggestion, the ironing outside the bedrooms from early in the morning was quite disruptive (the noise from the steam). It woke us up between 07h00 and 07h30 each day, which was a bit earlier than we would have liked. Perhaps it would be good to find somewhere else to do this or start a little later.

The clean and recently refurbished room with its own little balcony and access to a terrace with beautiful views of the city and surroundings. The breakfast was delicious, with more views. The owners communicated with us via WhatsApp to share recommendations for restaurants, places to visit etc.

Nothing we didn't like. An iron in the room would have made it even better.

One of the nicest rooms we had during our round trip in Albania. Both the room and bathroom are spacious and comfortable. The pillows are very good, which is an exception if you're on holiday (not only in Albania but during other holidays as well: it's always very flat, hard, thick, ..) So we slept like a rose :-) Very nice breakfast as well and a good location to explore Berat on foot.

Maybe an instruction in advance where to park best. Google maps is helpful on big roads, but not in cities as it always suggests the hardest route (likely to get stuck :-) ) while there's a more convenient route most of the time.

The hotel is in walking distance to everything you might want to visit in Berat. The room was modern, and had a view to the castle and historical city. The shower was hot with good water pressure (this was not the case everywhere during our holiday), beds were comfy and the breakfast on the terrace was excellent. The host was very friendly and very helpful.
