Beautiful large room. Very clean and comfortable. Not only a kettle and tea and coffee, but also a microwave and fridge provided. Complimentary Welsh cakes and bottles water. Good shower. Attached to a Bistro, which sells light bites, freshly made pizzas from a charcoal pizza oven, locally made beers and spirits, traditional favourite main courses with a Welsh twist and an extensive cocktail menu, among others. Very good price, considering the quality of the room.

Breakfast was not provided, but I was given a Greggs gift card instead, which actually suited me better, as I had to leave early next morning.

Quirky, modern, clean comfortable room. Great bathroom. Plenty of hot water, towels, soaps etc. Tea, coffee, welsh cakes.. Appreciated the room upgrade- thank you Well decorated bar, didn't try food, but cocktails were good value. Friendly staff.

No breakfast, Greggs vouchers, £10 for 2 night stay. £2.50? This needs to be reconsidered by management. Maybe 3/4 years ago that may have sufficed. Not anymore. There are plenty of characterful cafes nearby that would be happy to offer a breakfast for Bistro guests. Wouldn't cost a fortune and would really make this the 5* Valleys experience the Cardiff Arms team deserve 👏

The room was very big & well appointed. Lots of games & books on offer. Beds were comfy & we have the luxury of 2 bathrooms. Excellent showers Check in by Tracy was good - very friendly & helpful. The bistro was ran by a friendly team, especially Tracy who made our experience a very enjoyable one. The food was good paired with a lovely welcoming atmosphere .

In one bathroom plug was missing which was a shame as everything else was good. The room was very hot when we went in but turning the radiators down sorted this.

Good size room. Comfortable Superking sized bed. Nice big shower. Selection of teas, coffee, water and Welsh cakes supplied. Wi-fi including smart TV. Great location on the high street and perfect for me visiting family in the area.

Hotel reception wasn’t manned whilst I was there, but staff in the pub took me round and checked me in so it wasn’t a problem. No breakfast at the hotel. £5 voucher per day provided for Greggs though. Short walk down the road no problem for me but far enough that it might be a problem for some. No designated parking at the hotel but I had no problem at all parking on the side roads.

I expected noise from the bistro downstairs but surprised that there wasn't any. The wo dows however let in a breeze even when closed tight and also the aluminium frames ket in noise as though they were open. I am assuming some staff live on site and walk by the rooms to get to temheor accommodation, or stay in the vacant rooms as every night after the bistro closed there was heavy thumping footsteps shaking down the corridor, yes this is to be expected in a hotel but not at half past midnight or after

The aesthetic of the property is exceptional! Staff have all got exceptional hospitality skills. The rooms are so spacious! Was shocked on how big my room was For a solo person. Beds are really comfy, bathrooms are spotless. There are complimentary teas, Coffees, bottled waters, even Welsh cakes!!

Local to family as we were there for a family funeral The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed

The room was very hot even with the fan ( the weather was very hot though) We had a voucher for breakfast the first morning. They only gave us one as they were running low and asked us to ask for another one the next day. We asked a few times and were told to ask later and ask tomorrow but we couldn’t find anyone to ask the next morning. This should have been in place as we were booked well in advance. (The staff at Greggs were extremely nice) The hotel has a bistro so could quite easily organise its own breakfast on site.

Great place to stay, very friendly staff and food in bistro was amazing.

No breakfast, it was good they supply you with vouchers for greggs but to make it 100% best around if the bistro supplied breakfast with the rooms i think this would make the stay so much better, we found it really hard to find anywhere for breakfast on sunday morning close by so had to drive to either familys house or other paces furter afield. But overall experience was fantastic. Lady who ran the bistro friday and saturday was amazing and very helpful.
