The welcome was, as we have come to expect when we play in Wales, friendly, helpful and hospitable. The room 304 was quiet with a nice view of the hills, it was more than adequate apart from the TV which I just could not get to work, but that is down to my lack of tuning expertise. If Merthyr Tydfil run an event next years as is expected, I will certainly use the Hotel again. Diolch yn fawr iawn

Nothing to add I was satisfied. For the price it gave all I expected and provided all I needed with great hospitality. The breakfast was sufficient and well cooked and presented by friendly staff.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Good cooked breakfast at a great price . Comfy bed. New carpet. We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was in an ideal location. Car parking is off site . 70p hour, £1.50 for 3 hours £3.50 whole day. Free 6pm to 8am. One car park is outside.one car park is security controlled shut 6pm to 6am . 5 minute walk to hotel.

Looks like recent refurbishment, however, the finish on painted areas was poor. Attention to detail was missing. Very old windows in room which were freezing cold. Need to think about insulation as heat lost and very drafty. Heating was on all the time so we were not cold ,unless you were near the window.

The location for where we needed to go was fantastic. The room was much larger than expected with a great view from the window. The WiFi in the room was great. Check in and out was extremely easy, too easy. I gave my name and they handed over the keys. They have a lift.

There was no car park. The bathroom door was not great with the layout of the bathroom. You had to do a little straddle the toilet manoeuvre. The decor was a little outdated. There was no mattress protector and the mattress was a little uncomfortable. The TV was over in the far corner by the sofa, so if you wanted to watch from bed it was a little too far away. There were no plugs in the sink or bath. It was rather warm in the room despite turning the radiator down.

The room was large, very clean, large comfy bed and lovely bathroom with piping hot water. Staff friendly and helpful. Also it was useful to be able to stop briefly in lay-by at front of hotel to ask where to park.

Unfortunately I was on the side of the hotel where there was a pub/club nearby with noisy party goers, and in the morning a fair bit of noise-doors banging etc.

The breakfast was excellent. The location was close to bus depot as we do not have a car. The purpose of our visit was to visit my sister who was in Hospital.

It was a bit noisy in the evenings as there were pubs close by, but I cannot blame the hotel for this.

Great location for travelling in and out of Cardiff very friendly and helpful staff. Great value for money and always someone at reception day or night to help you in anyway.

If I had one fault it would be that the breakfast finished at 9am I think 10am would be a better finish time.

Big windows and an excellent view at mountains. Good location, near a reasonably priced car park. Many pubs and bars near by. I enjoyed the evening relax in a bath tub.

People who clean the room might have done a better job - I found some hair in the bathroom and some leftovers behind the bedside shelf.

The staff are very lovely and helpful. Always welcomed with a smile and chat

The only thing I found was once the room had a smell of strong cigarettes but they moved me immediately which was lovely and once the cold tap knob had came off in my hand and no bath plug but apart from that it was lovely

Its location was perfect and the staff very helpful and it was great value for the money

I arrived very late and there was nothing available to buy to have a snack . At the very minimum you would think there would be a vending machine or something .

Amazing stay. Friendly and helpful receptionist. Lovely room. Everything was perfect. I’ve stayed before a few times and it’s nice to see the rooms have been upgraded and other areas have been renovated.

Externally the building looks more tired that what it actually is.
