Verdelho Towhouse was simply beautiful. It was both spacious and stylish, with all the little extras added to make for a very enjoyable stay. The luxurious spa, in one of two modern bathrooms, was highly appreciated after a long drive and day of moving house. I have already recommended Verdelho to family and friends as now that I will be living in Penola, it will provide a great place for them to stay if they choose to come and visit from time to time. I would very happily live in this property permanently and would have loved to be able to stay longer than one night, so as to relax a while. However, we had to catch the Spirit of Tas again, so it was not to be on this occasion. My only suggestions would be to have decafe coffee pods as an option of choice too and to provide the ingoing code at a set time for guests peace of mind. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

This accommodation is amazing. Navigating the booking was easy. The property is central in Penola and within walking distance to all the shopping precinct and eateries. The accommodation itself is clean, spacious and caters well to the travellers needs. Well planned out design and privacy inside and out in backyard. Ideal for families with plenty of space for kids and security to keep them in front and back yard. A must to stay at when exploring the Coonawarra.

Everything! It’s so stylish but has great substance too. The design, the layout, the quality of the place and it’s finishings. The garden , the peacefulness, it’s so relaxing and easy and also how well equipped it was with all those little things you often miss when in a self catering place. Let’s not forget the lovely big bath towels and the comfortable bed.

The spa bath - took far too long to fill and then one of the jets still shot water out of the bath! But let this not detract from a lovely quality property.

Loved this Townhouse, it was immaculate & presented beautifully. The host was very accommodating when I phoned her on a Sunday to say I hadn’t been emailed our gate code yet, she gave it to me straight away & text me as well. We stayed on our 25th wedding anniversary & when we arrived there was a card & box of chocolates on the kitchen bench, which was a lovely touch.

There was a beautiful big spa bath downstairs, just wished there was a warning on how powerful those jets were, water was inclined to spray around, even though it was covered by water.

We stayed at Verdelho. It was clean and modern with great ammenities. Everything that was needed for a great stay was included. Loved the large spa and double shower too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and compared to other accomodation in Penola, we thought it was exceptional value. Thanks for the great stay!

There's was nothing not to like.

Great place to stop on our way to Adelaide from Port Fairy; amazing spa bath; great parking; short walk to cafes and pub for a delicious dinner; easy access to Coonawarra wine region; nice small garden where we were able to sit and enjoy a glass of wine before the rain came through!

Bathroom acoustics - sound carries a little too well from upstairs loo to the living area !

The location was perfect for the wine region . Not vary many local shops open on the weekend, though. Dinner options in town were basically the hotels.

This is our second stay and we love it. well appointed, with everything you need. Great location, in walking distance to Hotels and shops. Clean and comfortable. Will be booking again for the Coonawarra Petanque Tournament next year

Only 4 x coffee pods, for 3 people staying 3 night...,lucky I'm the only one that used them Also not enough shampoo etc...again lucky I took my own and could give mine to the others

very small things - not enough coffee pods for everyone for one coffee per morning and coffee cups were odd to drink out of - strange shape bbq was not great - would be good to have a Weber q etc

This property was seriously amongst the very, very best that we’ve ever stayed in. It was well located, being but minutes’ stroll to all of Penola’s eateries, etc, as well as being a super easy drive to the Coonawarra wineries. Its architecture was spectacular; upon entry, guests are greeted by a high ceiling with the mezzanine bedroom nestled at the rear. The lounge, kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms were all both tasteful and well appointed. We would happily live in it! And if you do stay there, Cafe Lita, on the Main Street, is also highly recommended.
