We were here for a few days. It is a convenient place to stay, not from from the Zocalo and other places of interest. There is a metro station close by that allows you to go anywhere you want in the city. Mike

The room is small. The photos shown on booking are deceiving.

All of the staff are very friendly, the location is good for walking the Historic Centre, very quiet in the rooms and very good breakfast included.

The location and the room

That in the breakfast was a small Cacrooch in the table!!when I asked to talk to the management the waitress said that the manager was not there yet, but the restaurant supervisor was (the cashier of the restaurant a girl) so he informed her about it, well until we finish our breakfast she did not come over to our table to apologize or to said anything. When we left we passed to her cashier and I was going to tell her about, but she very fast said..yes I know but don't worry I will make a report to the manager. And she don't even said something like I am sorry for the incident or something ...NOTHING like it was NORMAL TO FINE A CACROOCH IN THE BREAKFAST TABLE!!!

Great location in Centro, safe and walking distance to Zocalo and other nearby attractions. A few minutes walk to the metro and access to more distant attractions. Property was very clean, bed comfortable, and hot water shower. Usual CDMX noise from very busy streets of Centro. Elevator, front desk staff, porter and door man for convenience. Hotel restaurant serves a good cup of coffee and delicious food and also provides room service.

All was good.

The location is good for visiting the historic center, rooms are comfortable and clean. The cleaning staff was very nice and accommodating.

There are some weird sounds from machines that sometimes turn on for a few minutes and then back off, this keeps happening during the whole night. If you are not a light sleeper it's not a problem. The reception staff was just rude, The original check-in went ok, but afterward, they made me feel like I insulted them or something, didn't greet me back, when I had questions sometimes pretended to not hear/see me even though I stood in front of them, was a really weird experience

We had a lovely stay at the Castropol Hotel. The location was safe, central and handy for everything, the quality price of our deal was excellent, including the good and fresh breakfast. We used the restaurant in the hotel every day, after excursions and sightseeing, and we found a rich choice of good food, including the menu del dia which was a bargain, particularly the rich selection and quality fish. We felt at home and found all of the staff helpful, professional, very kind and welcoming, from the reception to the room cleaners and the restaurant staff. Despite the unusual heat, thank you for helping us have a very nice week in Mexico City.

excellent location 5 minute walk from zocalo and right opposite two Metro lines. easy check in and big bed too. good shower.

towels were dirty with some kind of solidified orange substance, and bed didn't use fitted sheets which is not the most comfortable. the lighting in the room isn't great, and one of the side lamps also didn't work and made reassuring electrical noises nevertheless.

The location is excellent, very central and well positioned for all attractions. The cleaners were excellent and we returned to a well presented room at the end of each day . The reception staff were helpful and understanding of our limited Spanish .

The waitresses in the restaurant were appalling and we only ate there twice in the 5 nights we stayed because of this. One male waiter was very good, but we only saw him at breakfast, the food is good though.
