We booked to stay at Sulis Beach for one night in transit due to the good reviews and closeness to the airport. It is located literally next to the airport in such a quiet area. This is one of the most cleanest hotels I’ve ever been to. Sure it’s an older hotel but it would have been 5 star back in the day. Even though it’s older the place feels like it’s been newly built but in poor taste. The view on the rooftop (which is the dinner and pool level) is just spectacular, especially on sunset. The food was good too. The beach is literally across the road and is so quiet, there is a spa which opens at 9am until 5pm but after hours there are many spa’s around the corner that open until 11pm. Mini mart is also about 30m away. The pool is super clean just like the rooms and bathrooms. We stayed in x2 deluxe rooms and a family room and would highly recommended for large groups. I don’t normally stay in Kuta but I would definitely come back to stay here especially in transit.

I can’t really fault the hotel for the price that I paid but it would have made the whole experience to a 10 if they have a shuttle bus for guests. Our first family paid 500k to a driver at the airport but our second family paid 100k as they were going to book via Gojek but got a driver to price match.

Lovely big clean rooms. Perfect place to stay close to the airport, good value for money. Good Wi Fi and aircon Would stay here again

The pool area was in full sun, fake grass which made the area very hot

- over 20 hotels I stayed, I think the two ladies in the front desk were the most professional and kind hearted. They appear to genuinely care. They were so attentive. - the breakfast which is included consist both western and Balianese. It’s Individually ordered— not a buffer style. - the room price was very reasonable, - room was huge compare to hotels. - rooftop pool and the restaurant has the view of the ocean as well as the city. There is an attendant who is always cleaning while another takes drink orders. - the bathroom is exceptionally clean. - and Amano towels everyday.

Can't believe the Sulis hotel missed an opportunity to make some $$$ on New years Eve. A bar and some ambience on the rooftop would have been awesome on NYE. I'm sure people staying there would have paid . Flyers on arrival would have been helpful, i.e., about the spa (there was definitely none for a few days but they turned up eventually), information from desk and in room about restaurant and room service on offer would have been helpful. Tips from reception staff and folder in room to getting around and where to eat near hotel would have been useful. They had some cards in the room, but they were basic. A folder in room with more detailed info would have been more helpful BRAKFAST IS HORRIBLE!

the rooms were bright and roomy with the balcony overlooking a garden with a nice sea breeze. great location for the beach or the beach walk to Discovery mall Lippo Mall etc. Breakfast is pre ordered the day before and i found it very filling. A place to go back to.

Spacious room, clean. Walking distance to pantai Jerman; a beach with many local tourist and therefore affordable warungs with good Indonesian food (no frills, authentic taste).

Somewhat cold reception. I understand warnings about safety of luggage in the rooms (and other warnings), but it was a bit over the top (it gives the feeling that your stuff is not safe even though this may not be the case). Although clean, the bedlinnen and towels were not in a great state. On the rooftop, some beanbags would make for a nicer place to have a cocktail or beer.

The staff wete really friendl & helpful, especially the wait staff at the restaurant. Fabulous view from restaurant, really well priced tasty food & drinks. Great roof top pool!

Not enough drinking water provided each day, when we asked if we could have more were told we had been given our allocated water for the day, would have purchased more if we had known there was a limit. Too much plastic containers used at breakfast & for water bottles. Would be helpful to have more up to date information about he hotel & restauran tin the rooms.

The staff are amazing. Always helpful, always smiling. The rooms are huge, immaculately clean and ours had a small balcony with view to the street. No noise from street with door closed. The rooftop pool is the jewel. If you are a plane freak like me you can watch the planes taking off and landing while in the pool!! (you can’t hear them from your room). The breakfast is off a small menu and is the usual bacon, eggs, toast, coffee etc but do yourself a favour and have the fruits and yoghurt. Huge huge bowl of fresh fruit with frozen yoghurt and a sprinkle of cornflakes (😊). Once I ordered this it was my go to! Also ate dinner there a couple of nights and food was very good. 10 minute walk to Discovery Shops or short taxi ride. Beach 2 minute walk. If you are looking for a 5 star resort with all the bells and whistles this is not for you. However if you are looking for a small well run hotel with amazing staff and service at the quiet end of Kuta give it a go
