Too many stairs - would have coped better if not stinking hot

The staff were amazing the bungalows were lovely clean and comfortable.

There are so many stairs not good if you have any walking difficulty. In the middle of no where. Expensive food and drink captive audience.

Loved the private beach, daily complimentary breakfast and the staff were so lovely and accommodating.

Location is a bit out of the way from main attractions on the island, and the facilities are a little outdated but if you’re looking for relaxation, amazing Service and a private beach - look no further

3 amazing pools, nice private beach, very good wi-fi, big room, big bathroom, super clean, daily room cleaning, friendly staff, great breakfast options, daily happy hours at the bar.

Extremely high prices at the bar&restaurant, all prices come without VAT, they add on every bill 10% tip plus VAT, they add 10% tip plus taxes on the full amount on happy hours even though it should be on the discounted prices, low food quality at the restaurant for dinning, could do a refresh of the rooms, very far away from Lamai so had to use taxi rides ( around 25 Eur both ways).

The bungalows are surrounded by lush well maintained greenery. Quiet room. The only sound I heard was from the birds and insects. The air conditioner was excellent and the room also had a fan. Quiet Beach. Spacious room. Restaurant staff were particularly nice Coffee/tea making facilities & minibar in the room Excellent selection of food for breakfast (Thai and Western) with a cook ready to cook eggs on request. Lots of stairs - great for fitness.

They provided a 150 B voucher if you elect not to have your room cleaned but it was only valid for the following day and that day only. It seems to me a more genuine offer would allow its use anytime during the stay at the resort. A lot of the breakfast food was not covered and hence exposed to flies of which there were a few. I was very surprised at this lack of basic hygiene. The coffee mugs in the room had circular handles. So you couldn't hold the mug by the handle as it would rotate around your finger in the handle. What idi*t designed that? :) I didn't mind this at all but be cautioned that the resort is on a hill. The walk from the restaurant at beach level to the lobby at the top is approximately equivalent to climbing 5 stories of stairs. Great for fitness!

amazing location right by a private beach on the basically uninhabited south tip of the island. the breakfast was also top tier with everything you needed including western and Thai choices.

Rooms are getting dated at this point with the furniture showing it's age. maintenance of the properties hasn't been done in a while. for the amount you pay I would have expected more in this department. however despite the small issues we still enjoyed the resort immensely including the pools, beach, and staff helpfulness.

location and villas were nice

with the exception of one of the front office staff who was great. the other receptionists were unhappy , not helpful and looked like they hated their jobs. valets and porters and cleaning staff were great.

Breakfast is OK, Internet is good. Please keep your internet standard.

Water utility is not so good. quite slow and low pressure.

Beautiful views, lovely pool area. Has a great private, clean beach with plenty of loungers. The restaurant is right near the beach and pool. Staff were very friendly. They provide a shuttle into the nearby shopping areas, at a cost per person.

This hotel was great, however, it seemed very cut off from everything. We came to experience the culture and see the sights on our own (not having to rely on shuttles), whereas we found this hotel to be one that appeared to have people staying in it that just wanted somewhere to lie in the sun. No judgement to those people, and if that's what you're looking for, then this place is perfect! We came to explore the sights, however this hotel did not offer scooter hire and even discouraged it in their welcome letter. It was a beautiful resort and I would recommend highly, however, not if you want to get out of the resort and explore.

Stayed at Centara for 18 nights with our two daughters over Christmas and New Year, stay could not have been better and has a lovely secluded beach area. Although the rooms are a little dated they are fine and help you relax into your stay, we had two superb rooms just up from the pool and were really just fantastically located - lots of steps to reception from the bar/pool area, but this helps you get your steps in so no real problem. Great team of staff who could not do more to assist you. Highly recommended.
