Its so close to the Heineken place and really close to the tram and train (30 second walk). Polite and friendly staff who were happy to help. I booked a double bed and was given a twin room but when I spoke to the lady she was quick to change it. There's a little vending machine too at the reception which stocks drinks and small snacks. Towels were clean and also stocked body wash .

The rooms are really small- like really small. If you don't plan to stay in your room because you'll be out exploring then it's fine. The bed was comfortable and clean and so was the shower area. I stayed on the 5th floor which was an incentive to not go back to the hotel room for the whole day. There are no lifts and the steps are small so be careful. No view out the tiny window in the room.

It's a great location - central, but not too busy. Authentic building, nice view. Very friendly and helpful staff! They gave me an extra pillow. Very good blackout curtains! It has everything we need. It also has a kitchen on reception - tea and coffee, microwave, grill etc. It's well heated, we were comfortable. We were given a bigger room than what we paid for, so that was a nice surprise.

It wasn't very clean. Some hair on beddings, and in the bathroom. The floor was quite dirty. The safe didn't work. I'm sure it could be sorted if we talk to staff, but we didn't want to go down from our floor - stairs are super steep.

We loved the room, spacious & clean. Exceeded our expectations & the pictures do not do the place justice. There were a few louder groups that did not adhere to the 10pm sound curfew but the sound was minimal. Reception staff were extremely helpful & when our safe had issues opening a woman came up & sorted it for us. Thanks for having us!

The stairs are as steep as everyone states, this property is not suitable if you can’t climb thin staircases. We didn’t mind this as we are a younger group & knew about the stair situation.

The position close to the museums (Van Gogh...) square and metro/trams; the friendly and caring staff; the super night porter: kind, helpful, always ready to help; the feel of a hostel (common room, facilities to heat food, free coffee/tea...)

The stairs are really steep with no lift: we knew it beforehand, so NO surprises whatsoever, but being on the 4th floor has been challenging on some occasions.

Everything was perfect Amsterdam central station is very near only 30 minutes it's take staff was very very nice talking and supportive and helpful location is very good nice amazing every tourist places are near very near...

Only stairs are little bit difficult my room was in 1 floor so I have no problem with it....

Pretty clean and good quality for the price, not too far away from the center and shops. Very nice staff, quick service. Very good if you want to stay for a couple of nights

It was very hot in the room even with the window open, maybe the heating was too strong. Not the best bathroom design with no ventilation and we could hear other guests during the night hours.

Efficient and helpful staff, room was spotless, beds were comfy, located very close to multiple options of public transport, excellent city centre location

Room was on the third floor with no lift access and stairs are extremely steep, vending machine has no card option meaning we had to head out late at night for drinking water

The beds were unexpectedly comfy, we were pleasantly surprised! The stairs were really steep but that added to the full Dutch experience so we didn’t mind. The gentleman at the reception was super nice and helpful. So all in all a great stay, would recommend.

very steep stairs to get to the rooms. temperature was too hot and hard to get it decent. the property is overall not well maintained, that’s why it looks dirty, but wasn’t. The guy at the reception on our first evening was rude and listless.

The hotel was very bare bones, more of a hostel than a hotel. As vacationers who emphasize exploration of our destination over luxury of our accommodations, this was the ideal hotel. The price was a bit high for what it was, but I attribute that to the hotel's location, which was excellent: walking distance to all of the museums and attractions in Amsterdam. The hotel is also one block from a metro and light rail station.

1. The shower in our room did not have a door or curtain and so the entire bathroom wound up flooding whenever we took a shower. They really need to fix this. 2. Continental breakfast was not included.
