A beautiful quiet location on a quiet street. The hotel is immaculately clean and designed, and the staff are super helpful and accommodating and seemed to speak a variety of languages. There was a possibility to leave our bags for the day after check out and bikes to hire. The room itself was very comfortable and always felt like it was at a perfect temperature. The shower was fantastic (!) and we had a variety of amenities. Could not fault the hotel at all.

The hotel was a little difficult to find initially as it is not on the main street as expected but round the back on a little alley. But once we realised that it was easy to find and well signposted. The room was quite a bit smaller than expected but perfect for our needs.

The location is perfect. The room was beautifully designed, large and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen was great and useful. The stuff was friendly and helpful. The coffee machine in the lobby was a great bonus

The only downside was that the windows don't open. It limits the ability to use the kitchen and I like fresh air. Also the room is very expensive.

Really nice hotel with the perfect location. It’s very central, but in a quit and local area. Very easy to check in and out. Very friendly staff at the hotel, everybody is really nice. The room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to come back.

The room was really small, difficult to store our clothes and stuff in the small closet. No space around the bed. Sad that it is so expensive to rent bikes and parking when you stay at the hotel. It should give an advantage when you already pay a lot to live there, but it was considerably cheaper to rent both parking and bicycles other places in the city.

Cozy, comfortable, and full of thoughtful touches I stayed at Citadines Canal Amsterdam for three nights and truly enjoyed my stay. The studio-style apartment was very cozy and well-designed — with a comfortable bed, a dining table with chairs, and a fully equipped kitchen area. Everything I needed was there: plates, cutlery, and all the basic tools to prepare meals. It felt like home. One of the highlights for me was the delicious breakfast — simple, but very tasty and satisfying. I also really appreciated the self-service concept based on trust. At any time of day or night, you could take snacks, drinks (like soda, wine, beer, or juice), write down what you took on a piece of paper, and enjoy — no staff members needed. It made the stay feel very relaxed and respectful. There were also free coffee and tea stations both in the lobby and in the breakfast area, available all day. Plus, there was free filtered water — you could refill your own bottle anytime, which was so convenient. And finally, the location was perfect. The hotel is in a quiet, peaceful area, which gave it a warm, almost family-like atmosphere. At the same time, it’s just a short walk from major Amsterdam sights — the best of both worlds. I would definitely stay here again!

Upon check-in, we were informed that we had been given a free upgrade to a 1 bedroom apartment. The apartment was very well equipped and clean, and the location was excellent. The beds were very comfortable, and the temperature of the apartment was constant without being suffocating. The ability to drop your bags before and after check out was a definite plus. Staff on reception were informative and polite. The general lounge area was great, with access to drinks and snacks on an honesty basis.

The "double" bed was, in actual fact, 2 singles pushed side by side, each with their own bedding.

- Housekeeping: Infrequent cleaning leads to noticeable dirt and dust. Even the full cleaning every 4 days is subpar, leaving garbage, hair, and poorly vacuumed floors. While daily cleaning isn't necessary, thorough cleaning is expected when it does occur. - Maintenance: Slow response to maintenance requests (e.g., noisy fridge took 4-5 days and multiple reminders to fix). - Breakfast: Mediocre quality. - Bike Rental: Charging €22 per bike per day is excessive, especially considering the hotel's above-average price point. Complimentary bikes would be more appropriate. Additionally, the lack of insurance despite initial assurances is concerning. But the bikes are new & in a good conditions.

Breakfast - Delicious! Cozy! Tasty! Abundant! Great coffee! Wonderful Orange Juice! Staff - Young, Pleasant, Efficient, Helpful, Tolerant of old folks (as septuagenarians we were easily the oldest at the property!) The room was clean, coz, and well-appointed The location among the canals and interesting sights and restaurants cannot be beat!

The bathroom door hinges creaked loudly - we didn't mention it so any issue is really on us. That is it - everything else was wonderful. - really!

Very stylish and well maintained apartment hotel. Decor was beautiful and rooms felt a lot more expensive than they were. Felt bigger in person than the photographs. So well designed and laid out and really lovely to be in day and night. Very clean. Bathroom was gorgeous. Everything you could need in the room, including hanging and drawer space for clothes and room for case. Stunning little kitchenette too, with everything you might need to prepare and eat a snack/breakfast or heat up some food. Great sized fridge. Bed was really comfortable and had plug sockets by side tables (which is not always the case!) Check in staff were great: professional and friendly and we were able to get an early check in, which was ideal after an early start in the UK. The location is also fantastic. Down a quiet side street but very handy for so many attractions of the city. Walking distance from the museums and really great restaurants, bars and cafes. Would highly recommend and definitely would stay again.

Nothing to dislike

Perfect location, pretty surroundings near the canal and bridge, very beautiful, 10/15 min walk into the city. Grocery store few mins walk round the corner. The property is exactly like the photos! Very cosy, so clean felt brand new. We got a studio level 1 which has more light coming in. Kitchette has everything you need, crockery, wine glasses, utensils, toaster, kettle, 2 hob, dishwasher, fridge and microwave. Plenty of storage, safe, double shower and lit mirror in bathroom plus huge wall mirror, great tv, just felt like a little home, we absolutely loved it. Lovely staff too. Definitely recommend!
