This hotel has great potential! The building itself is stunning, and it's located in a lovely area with a beautiful park just nearby. The room I stayed in was clean, but quite outdated, with the only recent renovation being in the bathroom. It was a bit stuffy in the room, which made it less comfortable. Breakfast was good, although there was no water offered, and the coffee was only filter coffee. On the plus side, the self-check-in process was incredibly convenient. Overall, given the price, it was a fair experience, but a few updates could make it even better.

Beautiful historic building that is well maintained and equipped. We had some issues with our bathroom extractor fan, but the host was willing to give us another room which was bigger and better.

Was not able to communicate in English and would have been stuck without my basic German. There was only one fan in the whole building. Aircon is a must for hot days, especially for the upper rooms. There is no one to receive you after 15h00 in the afternoon, whilst the check-in time showed 15h00. There was also no basic coffee and tea utilities.

The queen sized bed was actually a king sized, which was great! Really nice bathroom with stone slate for floor covering. This is an older property and the architecture is fabulous. Old double set wooden windows with each having a brass 'turn latch'...and 12 foot ceilings in our room. Now that is so cool! And the bed was so comfortable...really, really nice!!

There isn't anything negative that comes to mind.

The hotel has a perfect location next to the bus stop Plattleite and the check-in service is pretty easy to follow. The interior of hotel rooms feels very cosy and approachable. With a small balcony you can enjoy the charming scenery of Dresden. Wifi works so well but you also have the option of watching TV. The availability of fridge and safe makes the stay more convenient.

Spacious room, comfy bed, clean, beautiful building and the location is quiet and nice. A very classic vibe overall. Direct tram/bus access. Very close to a couple of beautiful castles with a high location and beautiful view.

The bathroom was very small. Not much room to move around. It fits fine for just one person, but any more and it's just way too small.

I was on a business trip. The hotel was in the green zone, a pretty good location. Nearby is a small supermarket, good fast food, and a few restaurants. The Wi-Fi had a stable and relatively fast connection. The stuff is super.

At the moment, there is some construction work near the hotel, also there is poor ventilation to air out in the evenings, I had to open all the windows.

The large park and neighborhood were lovely for walking. The bathroom has been remodeled and is very nice. The beds are comfortable, with soft mattresses. Sitting area by the large windows. Staff was friendly and provided separate sheets to use along with European duvet covers. We didn't eat breakfast there. We used the water kettle in the room for coffee and tea.

In the description, only the name of the bus stop was given. We had to ask at the DB office for the tram line (#11) and then it took us a while to find the tram stop at the Dresden Hbf station (there are three tram stops and it's the north one, "Hauptbahnhof Nord Dresden"). Because of construction on the tram line, we had to change to the bus (#EV11), which is on the opposite side of the street, away from the Dresden Neustadt train station and other bus lanes. From Neustadt to Plattleite bus stop took about 25 minutes. The refrigerator did not work. There was no mention of construction work behind the hotel until after we had booked. It was only during the day and was not a problem but would have been nice to know ahead of booking.

Nice quiet location with lovely balcony. Situated right next to a woodland Christmas park with ice rink bars and firepits. Room was very clean and spacious had a fridge hairdryer kettle no tea or coffee but there is a shop nearby. Slightly too far outside main dresden attractions but public transport is also very close to the hotel.

Excellent location on the route of tram 11 (Plattleite stop), interesting building architecture, comfortable bed, tasty breakfast with a wide selection of dishes, very kind hotel staff, essential equipment (kettle, cups, glasses, and wine glasses). Ability to check in much later than stated in the hotel description (you get a code for the safe with a key).

No cutlery in the room (not even a small spoon). There was so much food for breakfast that I had concerns about it being wasted. According to House rules, check-in is possible until 8 pm so I had to choose to get to Dresden earlier than I wanted. Only after making the reservation did I find out that I was given a code for the safe with a key, so I could have arrived in Dresden much later.

Quality furniture. The hotel is clean and looks great, even picturesque.

The bedding wasn’t the best. The mattress was a bit on the soft side. The pillows were loose and wouldn’t stay in shape. Also, there wasn’t enough lighting in the room. Don’t know whether this was done on purpose but it’s better to have enough lighting and leave that to the discretion of the guests.
