The hotel was easy to find on foot, and the location was perfect for us. It’s close to cafés, restaurants, and shops, so we didn’t have to walk far to find what we needed. That was our main priority, and it definitely delivered. The bed was excellent—big and comfortable. We also had a balcony, which we loved. It overlooked the main street, but it wasn’t too noisy, likely because we were on the third floor. This made it comfortable for us to keep the balcony door open. Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of options, which we really enjoyed. The service was also great—friendly and helpful.

For me, there wasn’t anything bad about this hotel. The only small issue was the bathroom, which didn’t have a window, so the ventilation wasn’t great. After a hot shower, it got a bit too warm, and we had to leave the door open to let in some fresh air.

This 3 star hotel we have rated it as a 4 star very clean everything is in order. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful especially Silvan at the reception who explained every details what we should know during our stay...we only stayed for 1 night we would have loved to have had stayed for longer stay. As promised I would surely recommend this hotel as it was one of the best. Thank you Hotel Vauban Briancon you will surely see us again.

The best Hotel in Briancon

Our group with 9 rooms was super happy with this overnight stay. Parking was easy, and the rooms clean and pretty! A Hot water pot with coffee and tea was provided and our room had a balcony. Staff was welcoming and helpful! The beds were very comfortable and large bathrooms.

The breakfast was a bit pricey at 15 euros, so we just had the mini breakfast with coffee and croissants… Next time we will negotiate a better price for 11 travellers…

very welcoming staff including setting you up in the secured space for motorbikes overnight. comfy room. excellent advices/coices for restaurants at walking distances. the bar breakfast is perfect to start off your day without going through the large buffet selection. This hotel is in a great location continue your tour in the route des grandes alpes by "hiking* the pass d'Izoard which access is right next door.

Owner is a keen motorcyclist and was pleased to provide a secure garage for my motorcycle (with his motos). A more than ample breakfast with varied selection of both hot and cold dishes available. More choices than I could eat. Room was clean spacious and despite being located above a main road was very quiet. Decent beer.

No evening restaurant if I'm being picky but there are plenty available within a 5 minute stroll.

We traveled by motorcycle and stayed at this hotel – everything was absolutely perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. We especially appreciated the safe parking and the peaceful surroundings, which made for a relaxing stay after a long ride. Highly recommended for anyone traveling through the area – whether on two wheels or four!

The hotel is located directly on a busy main road. However, thanks to the excellent soundproofing, we had a completely peaceful night. Parking in the hotel car park was good, and the breakfast was very good. There was no air conditioning, but there were two fans and even a small refrigerator with an ice cube compartment. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Great location in Briancon, only a 5 minute walk to the ski lift and to the local restaurants. The bedrooms are a good size and the bathrooms are very big! The bed has a memory foam top which was very comfortable after a days skiing. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful

Very warm at night due to the underfloor heating which isn’t controllable in each room so we had to sleep with the windows open which was a bit noisy at times due to traffic

A minor issue with a group of men who were on a ski trip was that the bar did not open after 10.00p for 2 of the nights of our stay. I do realise that the hotel need to cater for the majority of the guests and so whilst we would have preferred the bar to stay open a little later, we did find an alternative.

The hotel was easy to find from the road entering Briancon and has free parking. The room was very clean and had ample wardrobe space. The shower was very powerful and the temperature control was perfect. The bed was very comfortable with large pillows and nice bedding. The location is good with bars and restaurants close by.

The walk up to the old town is quite steep but definitely worth the effort.
