The house in itself, fantastic stone construction, the main interior hall, open to the sky is amazing and the add-ons were well done. Views are simple but beautiful. Nice in and outdoors pool, enough space for many people, good jacuzzi and general installations. Breakfast good with the usual foods. The capuccino machine was very good. Very good size room with an impressive "varanda", overlooking the hotel garden, pool and the field ahead. The late night gentleman at the reception was so kind, so funny, so witty, that check-in was a real pleasure. Thank you for making us feel welcomed and for the laughter after a few good hours on the road. The other personnel were equally very nice.

Take it as constructive criticism ... Do not like hotels that claim we have to leave by 11 hours. Right, you can ask for extentions, but if you can only check-in at 15 or 16 hrs, and on top in a spa, believe that allowing people to leave at 12 hrs, would be the minimum ... Did not see a safe in the room. Can´t carry valuables to the pool, so ..., where do I leave my stuff ? Water in the room. Got 1 bottle on arrival. Thank you. But what about the other days ? Come on, 1 bottle of water is nothing special and is a nice gesture, specially during the hot summer months. Having said all the above, we truly enjoyed our stay at this location.

The staff was nice. The hotel had nice facilities, with outdoor and indoor pools, sauna and hammam. The room was large, clean and comfortable and had a very big balcony overlooking the pool. The breakfast was very good and we also had dinner at the restaurant, which was quite good and had some vegetarian options.

The beds in the twin room were separated and the soundproofing is not the greatest. The property is quite isolated, which is good for relaxing, but if you want something different you have to go to Chaves, which is 10 km away.

The welcome was lovely. The location - extremely quiet with fantastic views and ample on-site outdoor parking with no height restrictions. The rooms were spacious and clean with a huge outdoor terrace area. There was an on-site restaurant and bar. I would recommend both the food and wine as they were both fantastic. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, especially the young waiter in the restaurant who couldn't have been any more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and definitely good value for money.

Everything was exceptional Staff was very nice and thoughtful. Rooms were very big and well maintained and AC as well. Outside and inside pools were very nice , as well as the hot tub, a plus side was that the bathing cap was supplied by the hotel. Breakfast was exceptional, everything was present and very well made.

Parking was a bit difficult for motorcycles.

Staff 5 star, great cleanliness, good pool area with a lot poolchair and shade. Lovely gardens. All the staff receives you with a smile and after a long day you can see all the care they put in the garden. Dinner at the restaurant was also a great experience.

The breakfast might be the only thing to improve

Great place to relax and as a base to explore the area. Indoor and outdoor pools were amazing including sauna and jacuzzi. Room good size with firm bed. Breakfast buffet was sufficient. Congratulations to owners for recovering and creating an amazing space. Staff attentive.

Extraction fan in bathroom was not working and seemed that there was no air movement in internal or corridor area...but not a major issue.

Modern with a touch of the ancient. Nice spacious room. Clean and well maintained. Parking on side. As it was raining cats and dogs we didn’t make use of the facilities

The restaurant is depressing. Unfortunately not all personnel were up to the job of serving the good food.

it’s amazing. i loved it sooooo much!!!! there was a very cute dog. the beds are comfortable, the rooms are huge! the spa was perfect and the location was so pretty!

i have no dislikes. i just think the bar could offer more options.

The small but truly dedicated team behind all this beautifully maintained resort, deserves all the credit! You will see the same faces at check-in, breakfast, at the bar making your gin&juice, mowing the lawn and serving you dinner. The place is peaceful, quiet and hard to leave behind. Thank you for everything.

Lovely architecture and decent rooms. Love the spa that just adds a nice bonus to the experience. Electric car charging also grew to have.

Some strange and uncomfortable furniture and furnishings in the rooms. Could have had more thought.
