We had a lovely 2-night stay at this beautifully renovated mansion. The photos just don;t do it justice! The spaces and decor are truly splendid and elegant, with a soft touch of coziness. The bed was very comfortable, the temperature in the room just right and the bathroom spacious, with a large shower (bigger than usual). We really enjoyed the breakfast served by the owner, with high-quality products and very good Italian coffee. We are also grateful for the parking space provided inside the gated yard. We would come back during a more warmer time, to try the enticing swimming pool or, at least, the outside chairs.

It was on a cycling route and a great stopping point with a relaxing garden area, pool and lovely views. Very comfortable bedroom, bed and linen. Everything was perfect for us. It’s quiet, relaxing and restful. The hosts are very attentive and friendly. We had dinner in the garden which was delicious and such a nice change from going to a restaurant. Breakfast was adequate and coffee was made to order. The owners speak several languages including English.

The room was very nice, spacious and clean. The house itself is also super nice and the pool is awesome. The hosts were amazing and so nice. They also offer to cook dinner and I can just really recomment it, the dinner was amazing! The location 20/25min outside of Florence was also perfect.

The only thing I could think of is that theres no TV in the room, other than that everything was perfect!

Stylish, modern & comfortable room with quality linen & the fluffiest towels! Nice communal areas - indoor & out. Wonderful hospitality from Stefano our host - he cooked us a delicious & very reasonably priced dinner.

Pontassieve wasn't the most exciting or picturesque town, however it's perfectly located for a day trip into Florence & surrounding areas.

Excellent host Beautiful location , pool was a definite plus Eclectically furnished Near station to Florence (24min on train)

No air con or television (could be a plus!) Hilly position could be awkward for older or invalid visitors (with no car)

Great air-conditioned rooms, comfy bed, very clean and well presented The pool and the view from the yard are just stunning! This little town is such a gem, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Fabulous property with beautiful garden and swimming pool and lovely v. Very comfortable bed with top quality bedding . Use of a lounge area as well as bedroom. Host Stefano very personable and friendly and even cooked dinner for us one evening . Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Nothing to dislike

We enjoyed our stay at Sosta al Capitano. Lovely rooms, refreshing pool, delicious breakfast and a host who knows his business. Thank you Stefano for the tour of the wine estate. We will think of you when we enjoy your wine at home with the whole family.

Everything was perfect - room in tuscany old style very comfortable and clean -backyard, pool and view,for completely experience -last and not least Stefano and his companion Ambo-perfect duo to make your day better. We will definetely come back
