Rooms were beautiful and immaculate, beautifully designed. The hotel itself was beautiful and with perfect Tuscany charm. Enjoying river view at every breakfast and sunset at dinner are perfect ways to start the day and wind down after a day of touring. Breakfast was good and the hotel prepared fresh fruit juices every morning and brought them to the table specifically for the guests (unlike some where fruit juices were just produced in bulk and placed on buffet bar table). Staff were attentive and joyful - happy staff happy place! Prior to our arrival we requested the hotel to make a few restaurant reservations and we were presented with a professionally prepared typed up letter with details of all the reservations. These are the little details that differentiate a true five star hotel from a mediocre one. We loved the place so much and it's by far one of the best 5 stars hotel we've stayed at.

We really enjoyed the location of Villa La Massa, it’s perfect distance outside of downtown and reaching downtown via the shuttle makes life easy. The amenities we thought were great, especially hanging by the pool mid day; getting a pizza and drinks out there were fantastic.

I wish the shuttle would run past 11pm into town especially because most individuals eat a later dinner here. We had a fine dining reservation for an anniversary dinner at 930 pm which caused us to miss the last shuttle, and we ended up having to pay a taxi what I thought was an excessive amount for the 8 minute drive to the property.

We have stayed at Villa La Massa previously and returned because it is an exceptional property in a unique location. It is a peaceful haven in close proximity to an historic city.

Everything. The rooms are spacious, elegant and luxurious. The grounds and pool area are very well kept. Excellent indoor and outdoor eating areas serving excellent food and beverages.

Beautiful property, really peaceful and quiet. Not too far from town and really clean and tidy.

We wanted to eat in the town for one of the nights but the free shuttle was already booked, so we had to eat at the hotel twice. Not a problem but would have liked to try elsewhere.

From the moment we entered it was five star service. At checkin Adel, Tamara and Nicolo were very cordial. The views of the river and beautiful hills made it hard to look away. All of the resteraunt’s were excellent and especially the very lovely staff. I would especially like to thank Vasilis for his great food recommendations and conversation.

Bathroom really big & light with show & separate bath tub & bidet & double basins, a lot of long mirrors in the dressing area so you could see back & side views

What didn’t I like?!? It was so tranquil and the staff couldn’t haven been kinder or more accommodating!

The place is amazing. The view is beautiful, the pool, the garden and room are super clean. Food is great. Even the burger was top level. The room is cleaned and organized twice a day. They offer shuttle to the city (Florence).
