Very clear communication from the Get-go - we were staying in Male City for a couple days and headed out to an island in the Maldives. The organising and communication with us in relation to this was very clear and they didn't shy away from helping. We were very pleased with the pick-up/drop-off service from Shangri-La. Shout out to Hassan from the front desk. He was the one delegated to come pick us up from the airport. He explained everything that was going on and organised our check-in. He was super friendly and still came and asked us how we were doing the next day when he caught us coming into the hotel. The food from their restaurant was super yummy - we tried it once with room service and once as a dine-in, both experiences resulted in very tasty food! The infinity pool (rooftop pool basically) was very nice, you could dip in the pool for a swim or just lie on a sun bed next to the pools

We loved Hotel JEN Maldives Male by Shangri La! Location was great, everything is within walking distance! They made Check-in easy, and my room had a beautiful view of the Sea. The staff provided lots of useful information about Male. They offer a free shuttle to and from the airport which saved us time and money. Housekeeping checked the room daily and did a great job. The room was spotless every day. Our room boy Nabeesh made sure that we were properly looked after and made sure we had everything we needed, he also made us an animal from towels and left these on our bed, we were very touched by this. Breakfast buffet had fresh fruits, smoothies, pastries and many variations, something for everyone (even lactose free). On request you can also have various dishes made such as Poori, Chilla and Omelets. The kitchen staff (Chef Vicky and his great team) were fantastic! The dinner in the restaurant was extremely delicious. Good taste and you really finished your plate. Thanks to Team Sam (host of restaurant, Manisha and Indika (breakfast and dinner host) and not to forget especially of Chef Hardik, great chef! We enjoyed every day a delicious meal, such as Lamb Biryani, Chicken Biryani, Butter Chicken, Beef Filley Mignon, Salmon and Gambas’. Of course, all mocktails were on good taste and we enjoyed it immensely. The swimming pool on the rooftop is nice and clean and from morning to late afternoon you can sunbathe and swim with a view of the sea. Fitness room is nice and clean. The most impeccable part of our stay was the entire staff’s hospitality, which was A1 and made our stay a very memorable happening. We highly recommend this hotel with their most respected teams of operations.

The breakfast at this hotel was fantastic! The Eggs Benedict were perfectly cooked, with a rich, creamy hollandaise sauce that was a delight. The rice noodle soup was a warm, flavorful, and comforting surprise. A great variety of fresh options and attentive staff made it a perfect start to the day!

The hotel offers a convenient free transfer service between the airport and hotel on arrival and departure. It made our travel experience so much easier and stress-free. The drivers were punctual and friendly, ensuring a smooth journey to and from the airport.

Roof top pool and restaurant were excellent. They also had a small but decent gym. The breakfast was decent and offered an array of items.

Area/location. While very close to the airport, the area seemed very busy to the point where we didn't leave the hotel. It may be the entire city but it was constant. The bells very early in the morning. We came to realize they were prayer times/bells. The room was small; however, in line with my expectation traveling to different countries.

The location was good, the view was very average. while the front desk and restaurant has done a great job, the house keeping has some improvement to do..

House Keeping has no consistency. do not replace coffee capsules, do not replace bathrobes, take away spare room key!! etc etc.. The bath water was rusty!!

We just stayed the night in transit to an island so unfortunately didn’t get to enjoy the facilities. The service was great though, we arrived around 11pm and there was still plenty of friendly staff to check us in. They gave us clear instructions for the morning to be taken back to the airport. In the morning they had some breakfast ready for us and made sure we knew where we were going at the airport. Great service!

Wasn’t there long enough

The communication is smooth, response is efficient, easy access to all local attractions. The staff tries their best to understand my needs and provide a memorable experience. Check google review for restaurant recommendations!

The shower is not strong enough and is a bit leaky.

Beautiful hotel, great location as it's only a few minutes from the airport. Fantastic views from the roof. Pool was perfect and the staff were very friendly. Thank you to Ananda, he was so welcoming. Food was delicious. Price was high but the service and facilities provided lived up to the price. I will definitely stay here again.

Breakfast Anjali from lime restaurants was so sweet and cheerful , the chef from live station for scramble egg and dosa is friendly and raman was super helpful during our dining. Loved every moment of the experience we had for breakfast. Room House keeping Janith Maleesh was super nice to clean the room and the standard was awesome. Customer service Faan was so helpful as our flight was at night so we requested for extended hours until our flight departed. She was helpful and patience with us giving us extension at a reasonable rate. Nuha was friendly during the first day of our check in as she was nice and she explained all thing in details to us.

Beautiful property not far from the water/jetty. Food was delicious! Staff was overly helpful, assisted us in navigating outings and even packed us breakfast the morning of departure at 0430.

Location isn't great for beaches.
