The location of the hotel is wonderful! Having stayed in central Epernay last year this was so much better in terms of vineyards! Such a lovely place. The restaurant was outstanding - a real treat on our last night. The staff were attentive and very kind - our dog loved running around the fully enclosed garden in the morning. Admittedly the hotel is a little tired and old fashioned - but this can all be over looked for the location, the cleanliness and the quiet rooms. Thoroughly worth the money. Recommend and will be back

This gem of an inn was the perfect place for our visit to the Champagne region of France. It's centrally located near Reims and Epernay, and it's also quite close to the Chateau Thierry and Belleau Woods monuments and battlefields for the World War I history buffs. The staff of the hotel is very friendly and helpful, and the hotel's restaurant is excellent. Breakfast was 18 Euros per person and included a variety of fresh items from a boulangerie, yogurt, rice pudding, fresh fruit, and cheeses. The location of the hotel is gorgeous, with great views of the surrounding countryside. One could describe it as either pastoral or bucolic. Our room was on the second floor, and there is no lift, but the gentleman who checked us in insisted on carrying our luggage up to our room. Our room was more than adequate, the bed was comfortable, and air conditioner could keep you ice cold, if you wished. The bathroom was large, and everything worked well.

Beautiful small hotel, stunning views. Large, comfortable rooms and quiet. The owner was very accommodating and served us drinks on the terrace after we arrived. The restaurant was superb. Amazing dinner, a bottle of champagne from the producer we could see from the hotel. In fact incredible wine list. Also fabulous breakfast. The waiters were also so friendly and efficient.

There was nothing we didn’t like. I mean maybe some fluffier, bigger towels. Also could do with a non slip mat to put in the bath when showering as it was slippery.

The Relais is very conveniently located in the heart of champagne country and a perfect base for exploring the region. It has a full service restaurant offering full a la carte and a couple of menus. The food is good and the service exceptionally good. The maitre d'hotel was particularly charming and efficient. Breakfasts can be ordered for an additional price (18.00 euros) and are varied and plentiful. Our room was large and they kindly placed our daughter in the neighbouring room. The hotel was warm and cosy on a wet February night!

I would like to see the set menus changed a little more frequently (this was our 3rd stay here over the years). The charge for aperitifs is high I feel :14.50 euros for a Kir Royale, in the area where 1st quality bottles of champagne from small producers run15.50 - 24.00 euros, seems a little excessive and a measure of Campari for 12.00 euros

Great location with stunning views over the Champagne vineyards. We were welcomed very warmly by everybody and our room was clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was delicious and served with a flourish that befitted its quality. Nice little extras (amuse bouche at the start and a plate of petit fours to finish with a very delicious espresso. Breakfast after a very peaceful night was equally delicious with all sorts of continental breakfast style treats. A real gem of a place.

Very nice place at a rural location in the Champagne region. More than just a hotel, this is a place were people go to and stay over for enjoying superb French cooking and a huge selection of the best wines. The waitress made a very sympathetic effort to compensate for my lack French when explaining the delicacies served. Staff was helpful with earlier than schedule breakfasts and small adjustments to the menu to accomodate my needs.

This place is in a lovely village location, with very good private parking. The room was a good size and nice and clean.

Considering the good price for the room, the restaurant did not match and was unexpectedly quite expensive due to it being Nouvelle cuisine. The food was very good, but as there did not appear to be much else nearby, you have little choice but to eat in the restaurant and they have a captive audience somewhat. Therefore it no longer remains a reasonably priced stay (and that was just for two of us). We did not have the breakfast.

Even though a little dated, the hotel is verynice. Very clean and comfortable room, high quality bed and all facilities you need. Staff was very welcoming and nice. The restaurant was fantastic!

Only minor: perhaps a suggestion to change to music in the restaurant - flute music on repeat was not great :)

We did not realise this was such an amazing restaurant. Possibly a destination restaurant? We tried the Menu Degustation for €99. Oh wow! The beef deserves special mention, perfectly cooked. You are presented with a glorious book titled "Le Cave" filled with a stunning collection of French wines, champagnes and various spirits. Unfortunately we did not try any as my husband prefers beer and I get light headed just sniffing a cork! If you are a wine buff, please visit. The vistas and garden were lovely too. As was our room.

My husband is 6'4" so struggled with the sloping roof in the bathroom but hey ho

We decided to repeat the option of spending our first night in France, after a very long journey from Australia, at this gorgeous little hotel in the Champagne District. we are so thrilled we did. superb hospitality, stunning food in the in house restaurant and a very comfortable room to stay in . The best start to our French adventure !!!
