La Crapounette is very close to the center of Épernay, in a lovely area called Pierry. Fred was very helpful from the moment we booked until our departure. He gave us great tips on things to do, places to eat, and sights to visit—exactly what you hope for when staying with warm and welcoming locals. The Jacuzzi was a real treat after a day of visiting Champagne houses, set in a beautiful garden. The next morning, we were surprised with a delicious breakfast offering plenty of choice. We’ve definitely found a new favorite place to stay—thank you!

We loved the setting, the spacious room and bathroom were relaxing and the garden was splendid. We were so well catered for . Breakfast was super and the whole stay was memorable. Advice was really helpful. If you go I highly recommend eating at the restaurant by the theatre in Epernay. The food is great and such a stunning venue . Thank you for the lift back Herve

Fred and Hervé go out of their way to accommodate the needs of their guests, and were very responsive to every query we had, like calling restaurants for us, providing a space to put our bicycles, etc. Breakfast is beyond the standard hotel breakfast buffet, with several home made items, and is served outside on a beautiful terrace when the weather allows it. The option to have dinner there is not to be underestimated as Épernay generally doesn't have enough restaurants to feed all the tourists it houses, making it hard to make reservations at short notice.

The bed was only 1m40 wide, which was a bit too narrow for us. We couldn't properly close the private bathroom (toilet) or the bedroom (no real doors), so it lacked some privacy.

The place is so beautiful, the garden is very well maintained with a little pond and cute little frogs (crapounette). I love the sound of the frogs during the night when you are having a drink in the garden, then when you close the room door the sound is gone and you can have a quiet night slep. So pieceful and relaxing. The host is amazing, very kind and friendly. The breakfast selection was amazing, way better than in many hotels. Location is great for champagne tasting. It has inside parking as well Well recommend, I will go back again. It is better if you speak French.

Host were very nice and helpful, the garden is really superb. One of the host is a professional cook so go for the diner at the property you won’t be disappointed.

The breakfast was excellent, taken at a table on the terrace. The evening meals on each of our two nights were excellent, served on the balcony overlooking the garden. Fred was an attentive and entertaining host. The gardens are private, and ideal for a relaxing time. Epernay and its champagne houses are not far by car - its near enough to walk there.

There was nothing not to like but the only improvement for this property would have been to not have had to share the shower area for my room.
