Sweet little house on the edge of the town. Very quiet and beautiful surroundings. You literally sit on the edge of the vineyard when out on the terrace. Room was lovely and comfortable. We had a tasty fresh breakfast.

While the host was very nice and friendly we found it peculiar and uncomfortable that she went into our room while we were out and it was not for cleaning. We were not asked for permission to enter the room. Things had been moved in the room when we returned and all our chargers were unplugged. I did not notice my charger being unplugged and woke up with an empty phone the next day. Had to wait for it to charge before we could go out for the day.

It was a pleasure to stay at Au Coer des Vignes, a proper Chambres D'hôtes. Chantal is a very kind and thoughtful host, and with our basic school French we managed to have many helpful and enjoyable conversations together. On arrival she gave us a wonderful welcome, and a clear explanation of how everything worked. The accommodation is in a two storey annex near to Chantal and José's own home, with five chambres. Our room was perfect for us. Beautifully decorated. Very comfortable king size bed, great walk in shower, high pressure and lots of hot water. Ample storage space. The shared decking area was a few steps away at the rear of the building, and a perfect place to enjoy a last glass of the day watching the warming sun go down over the vines of Pinot Noir. Downstairs was a delightful breakfast room cum kitchen, which we made good use of. Chantal was very attentive to ensure we had a good first meal of the day, laying on orange juice, good coffee, breads, pastries jams, and cheese. The location is great for Épernay centre and the champagne houses - whether you take the car - 5 mins, or go on foot - 25 mins (the last hundred yards on the return is up a bit of a steep hill). With no hesitation we would recommend this place, and hope we can return one day.

There was nothing that we didn't like.

We were just here for one night travelling through France on our way back home. We received a friendly welcome and were able to park on site. We stayed in a comfortable, well-appointed room at the top of the house with a nice view of vines. Good range of food for breakfast. 20 minute walk for something to eat in the evening. The house was full of other guests, so it was good to converse with them.

Would have appreciated a bigger bed but it was perfectly adequate.

A very warm welcome from Chantal. The location was perfect - bedroom overlooked vineyards and very short walk to the town centre. Delicious breakfast - especially the bread.

Communication via booking.com. Kept getting messages that Chantal said she didn’t send. For example, something about Covid-19 and time of arrival? These messages need to be removed.

We had such a lovely stay in this beautiful, house in Champagne, which backs on to a vineyard and has secure, gated parking in the garden. Chantal and her husband were exceptionally welcoming and friendly and we were treated like V.I.P.s from arrival until departure. The house is spotlessly clean and exceptionally comfortable. We both slept like logs. The ensuite bathroom was large and well-equipped and the shower was very powerful. Breakfast was a traditional French breakfast mix of breads, pastries, confitures, yoghurts, fruit, fruit juice, tea/coffee. We were offered a large selection of fine teas from which to choose. Delicious! Chantal is a very charming woman and super friendly. It was a pleasure to meet her. She made our stay an absolute delight. We will certainly return and stay for longer next time and we would wholeheartedly recommend Au Couer de Vignes.

Nice view over the vines and good location on the edge of the time. Good breakfast and adequate parking.

Quite a climb to the second floor room with heavy bags. Friendly but slightly fussy host - we don't really need to hear complaints about previous guests or the "English" wanting fresh milk in their coffee! That said, I very much enjoyed my coffee without any milk...

Room very cluttered with knick knacks, cushions and extraneous bits and pieces which made it less spacious than it could have been. Poly cotton bed linen and slightly dodgy decor. Also, a long way from anywhere nice to eat - we walked about 20 mins each way in the cold.

2.5km out of town but that not a problem as we enjoy walking.

Outside the city's center, on the other hand, that is positive as well.
