One of the highlights for me was its proximity to the Charlie Chaplin Museum, which made it incredibly convenient for me to visit and explore the life and works of the legendary artist. Additionally, the breakfast offered at the hotel was exceptional, featuring a wide variety of options to cater to all tastes. From freshly baked pastries and a selection of cheeses to a range of hot dishes, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

However, there were a few aspects of my stay that could be improved. Firstly, the shower in my room was missing a door, which was quite inconvenient. Additionally, the furniture, especially in the bathroom, appeared worn. The marble floor also had noticeable stains, which gave the impression that it was not thoroughly cleaned. Furthermore, the service at the reception was not up to the mark. Upon arrival, the staff member was preoccupied with a phone call and did not acknowledge our presence or make any effort to indicate that we should wait. This initial interaction did not make us feel welcomed.

When we checked in, there seemed to be an issue with the two rooms that were booked. The hotel made an error and only had one room. It was resolved but our triple room was actually smaller than the double room and the double had a kitchenette with frig. yet triple was more cost. Also, I contacted Booking.com to see if the discount for our group would be honored and never received an answer. So, match price guarantee was not honored.

The location was perfect, with a tram stop just 2 minutes from the hotel making it super easy to get around the Vevey. The staff were friendly and helpful, always happy to assist with any questions or requests. The rooms were comfortable with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Vevey!

The location of the hotel, parking adjacent to the hotel, size of the room, very good breakfast.

I did not like the shape of the bathroom and toilets. There is one glass door that moves whether it is towards the bathroom or towards the toilet. The door is also not sealed so there is no privacy. When you want to get out of the shower the one in the room sees you naked through a large mirror that is in the closet so there is no privacy at all. There is no kettle in the room, there is an espresso machine, so those who want to drink regular tea or coffee cannot drink at all.

This was an excellent hotel for a weekend trip to Vevey. The rooms were modern and comfortable and had a spectacular view. The location was also convenient as it was a few minutes walk from a regional train to go to the centre of Vevey. Overall, enjoyed our stay.

Nothing- everything was great! For travelers who want to be in the heart of a bustling town though, I would not recommend staying here because it’s peaceful and quiet rather than lively.

Very comfortable beds and was great to have water fountains available on each floor. Rooms were very clean and serviced daily. Easy parking both on ground level and underground both barrier controlled and at extra cost. Pets very welcome also additional cost. Very close to the local train which was a bonus as the weather was very wet. Also within walking distance to Vevey about 35 minutes downhill.

Only 1 expresso cup and 1 small coffee cup per room with 2 capsules per day provided. Bar was closed at 10.15 pm when we arrived back from eating in Vevey. Breakfast had excellent cold choice of food but dried up offerings for cooked bacon and eggs. Luckily we had plenty other options. 20chf per day charged for our dog was a bit steep.

I liked the hotel, the themes around Charlie Chaplin, the rooms were fantastic, and landscape view from the window, really great. Parking was great too, yet paid. The only thing is the TV did not work and we were not informed at the point of check in. Also, the hotel was very helpful how to reach the Jazz Festival and provided free passes for the train.

We had a very spacious room, with large windows and a great view to the mountains. The design of the room is very chic and included elements from the Charlie Chaplin movie "Modern Times". I loved that they have water fountains installed on each floor in the hotel, to fill up your bottle with still or sparkling water from the water reserves nearby. Also, the hotel is perfectly located in a calm area up on the hill, but at 3 minutes walk from the train station that takes you in downtown Vevey.

The shower area is nicely done, like a separated room right next to the toilet cabin and the sink area, but there is no door for it, which can get the bathroom floor wet.

Modern Times Hotel is a recent development with comfortable, light and spacious rooms (and some superb views, particularly on the garden side). The hotel facilities and room furnishings are modern, in very good condition and provide for a very comfortable stay. We have found all the staff whom we've encountered to be friendly and helpful and this contributes to the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel. Although located on the edge of Vevey (close to the main autoroute along Lake Geneva and connecting directly to the Bern autoroute), the hotel provides travel cards for the region and there is a good local rail service connecting to Vevey town centre which we have used several times to enjoy the lakeside atmosphere in Vevey. The hotel restaurant, which is also used for breakfast (a pretty extensive buffet), is modern, airy and relaxed. We have stayed here on numerous occasions when travelling through this region on longer trips (so we also appreciate the excellent parking availability) and have never been disappointed.

We have found nothing to complain about.

All idea that the hotel is dedicated to Charlie Chaplin is so cute! The room was spacious and the hotel staff was very friendly. Really good idea is free water in the corridors.

Only strange thing was that the hotel staff block 200 CHF from my credit card - this requirement was not indicated in Booking or in internet site of the hotel. Mentioned reason was that yis money is to cover eventual damage in the room.
