Restaurant food is amazing, staff are really friendly and helpful, great communication. Grounds are really well maintained. Slightly out of town location is good for us, a >5 min scooter ride in.

Pool was an algae green colour, then shut for a few days. Attention to detail on maintenance needed throughout resort.

Hotel was amazing! The facilities and staff were excellent. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a highlight, featuring delicious local food like 'Soto Ayam' and homemade yogurt. We absolutely loved it and would highly recommend this hotel!

Very nice hotel, a larger compound than expected. One quite large pool plus a slightly smaller one. The room was bright, big, and with a very comfy bed. AC worked well. Very beautiful, well maintained-gardens. Breakfast was nice with a combination of à la carte plus a couple of buffet items. We also liked the restaurant, which offered reasonable prices. There's even a small co-working space which we could also use after checkout. Easy scooter rental at the reception.

Based on the ratings, we expected good WiFi and were unfortunately disappointed. If you need a fast and stable connection with good upload speed for video calls, make sure you have your own 4G SIM card. The hotel staff explained that this was because of the ongoing construction on site. The pool was a bit too warm for our taste, probably well over 30°. On some days it can get quite noisy because of the nearby racecourse, but this probably also affects other hotels in the area. Apart from that, the location is okay as long as you have your own Scooter or use a Taxi. Not much in walking distance. We found it a bit petty that we had to pay extra for certain breakfast ingredients such as ham.

We have spent two weeks at Origin and we had such an amazing time! The staff was just incredible, they were so kind and welcoming. They were always there to help out, shared stories about their lives and were very sweet with our little daughter. It's a very peaceful resort, but if want you can definitely meet people. It's a bit further away from Kuta town, but will only take you 10 minutes on a very decent road. We can only recommend this resort and would like to thank all staff members and especially Medy, Any, Adi, Ira & D, for everything. We already miss you!

What a vibe! Origin Lombok in Kuta was hands down the best accommodation of my life. The place is stunning – tropical, peaceful, and full of good energy. The staff were absolute legends, always friendly and ready to help with a smile. The spa was heavenly, the food was next level, and the cleaning was impeccable – everything spotless and perfectly kept. Huge thanks to Ari for making our stay extra special. You truly made us feel at home. Can’t wait to come back for more good times!

Everything was perfect

My wife and I stayed at Origin for about 4 weeks, so this will be a detailed review! First, Origin’s location was ideal for us. It’s a 5–10m scooter ride from Kuta Central, which has become much livelier (and noisier) since our first visit to Lombok 5 years ago. While Kuta Central is great for dining and entertainment, we cherished waking up and sleeping in a peaceful, noise-free environment that allowed us to truly unwind. It's also 5m ride from some of the best beaches & surfing spots! The peaceful and private ambiance was a standout for us. The hotel maintains an intimate vibe. While we occasionally saw other guests checking in, we never felt their presence during our stay, which made the experience truly serene. Of the two swimming pools, we only used one, which was perfect for unwinding on our non-surfing days. Its long curvy design made it ideal for laps in the morning. We sometimes enjoyed breakfast and happy hour by the pool which also felt intimate. The hotel's coworking space was fantastic addition since we needed to work during our stay. Our room was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully decorated, with a terrace that became our favorite spot for morning stretches and relaxing breaks. All pictures on Booking are 100% accurate. Anyone visiting Origin will feel the same as we did: the team feels like a family and is extraordinary. They are genuinely caring, making every effort to ensure you feel at home. In fact, you’ll wish it was your home! Special thanks to Dee, Medi, and Junaidi for their warmth, jokes, cultural insights, and language lessons — you made our stay so memorable! ++ Origin gives the option to swap your room with their sister property, Amber Hotel located at Selong Belanak — a gorgeous spot ideal for beginner surfers or those not focused on surfing. Although we didn’t try it ourselves, we think it’s a fantastic option! In summary, our 4 weeks at Origin were so enjoyable that we're coming back in January :)

I can't leave such a long positive review without highlighting room for improvement. Breakfast was very good but could benefit from more variety, as it became somewhat repetitive over time. Additionally, a small section of the road leading to the hotel is currently rocky and damaged, which can be a little inconvenient if you're frequently coming and going. But keep in mind we stayed 4 weeks. For shorter stays, this is unlikely to be a major issue.

The staff is just incredible, specially Ani, which was taking so much care of us that help us in arranging every detail. For my work it was an excellent option, and the internet connection was really incredible, being able to work at any time. Nice pool, great room and delicious breakfast with many options. The massage was really incredible too. It was the best sleep during our stay for 1 month in Lombok.

There are some improvements being done in the hotel which make some areas more dirty, but not noisy. Unfortunately, there are no toys or special facilities for children, and we are travelling with our daughter, so she was missing it.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Origin Lombok, and it was truly unforgettable. This hotel is absolutely stunning, from the natural beauty of the surroundings to the peaceful and stylish design, everything was perfect. We stayed in Villa Robinson, which is a true gem. Surrounded by nature, it offers calm, privacy, and beauty all in one. The villa was spotless, well-designed, and gave us a deep sense of relaxation from the very beginning. It's a place where you can fully disconnect and recharge. What made our stay even more special was the warm welcome and exceptional care we received from Mr. Osman. He is such a kind, responsible, and attentive man, nothing was ever too much for him. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel at home. He was always present, thoughtful, and genuinely cared about our comfort and well-being. It’s rare to meet someone so dedicated and sincere. The rest of the team at Origin Lombok were also incredibly friendly, respectful, and welcoming. You can feel the heart and soul in this place, it's more than just a hotel, it's a place where people truly care. We give this stay a solid 10/10. We will definitely come back, and we recommend Origin Lombok to anyone looking for a peaceful, beautiful, and heartwarming experience. Thank you for everything!

We loved our time at Origin. The property is really stunning. They have gone to some serious effort on the aesthetic - gorgeous! Our room was huge and very comfortable. The pool area is so inviting! We enjoyed a lot of lazy days here :) The staff were absolutely incredible. All so friendly, courteous and couldn't do enough for you. Really superb. Hats off to them all! Some food was awesome, some not so good (more on that below) I thought it was great value for money.

This is all nitpicking really, but hopefully useful feedback for the management! Parts of the breakfast were amazing (the a la carte parts were brilliant), but others could be improved. Milk was left to get very warm on the side table, so effectively useless for anyone wanting cereal. Perhaps the milk jug could be kept in a bowl of ice? More fans near the food area would keep the flies at bay. The curries were ate one night weren't good at all. Keep the good tunes playing all day by the pool! For some reason they would come on, then stop for a couple of hours, then come back on again. Not sure why?!

We had a wonderful stay at Origin Hotel in Kuta Lombok! The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with the most stunning pool that felt like a little oasis. The staff were incredibly friendly and always helpful, which made our experience even better. The location is perfect — close to the center of Kuta, with lots of nice shops and restaurants just around the corner. We also really appreciated the option to rent scooters directly through the hotel, super convenient for exploring the area. My boyfriend and I booked massages at the on-site spa, which offers a wide range of treatments, and we were both very impressed with the quality — truly relaxing and professional. The restaurant was also a highlight: delicious food, including a great breakfast to start the day. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!
