The property was right in the center of everything which made it really convenient to visit shops and restaurants. It had an adorable German charm but was updated and modern.

There were a few things that kept me from rating our stay higher. First, it was difficult to find the apartment. Our directions kept take us to a street behind the building so we had to manually figure it out. Then the tower next to the building was under construction so instead of enjoying the quiet, peaceful town we were subjected to the screeching of the construction equipment and couldn’t enjoy the apartment with the windows open. The sink area had a slight mildew smell. And last the hall had a very bright motion light that would go on after dark. It would only flash though and there is no bedroom door so when I got up in the night it was an extremely bright, annoying flash.

The apartment was as described, very clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom!

The host was not helpful or forthcoming AT ALL. It was very hot (above 32-34 degrees) and I had requested a fan almost 10 days before my stay. I didn't get any response for a whole week despite a reminder. Then immediately after my card had been fully charged and the amount became non-refundable I was told they don't provide fans. And the excuse used was that it's a fire hazard!! Every other hotel on our trip made arrangements for fans, including the one my friends stayed at on the same street on the same dates! Host was also very un-accomodating and abrupt about check in/ check out times.

The Location was awesome! It is as close to downtown Gengenbach as you can possibly get. This makes walks in the city a breeze, especially in the early morning. The apartment was very clean and had nearly everything you'd need.

Parking... Parking in the area is a huge pain. This is very much a problem as you can not park close to the unit. I would suggest parking near the Kinzig river, and just walking the short distance to the unit. This offers all day parking, while many of the other paid parking is increments of two hours. With an abnormally hot June this year, it was rather warm in the unit. It would have been amazing if the unit had a supplied fan.

Location was good, place was clean and comfortable. Didn't meet any owners or staff but communicated fine electronically. As we were there to walk we weren't in the flat during the day.

A washing machine would have been good.

This accomodation was amazing and even BETTER than coming home!!! The contact with the Gastgeber Susanne & Jean-Marie Trapp was very nice. They are very open and answer every question/doubt you have. The appartment was just beautiful and very clean. It has got every detail and there is an amazing atmosphere. We had a very romantic time in this appartement and the beautiful town Gengenbach. Amazing location. Nicely set up

It was difficult to communicate because I don’t speak German. I don’t know if there was WiFi (because I didn’t understand the email)

This was a beautiful place in an amazing little town. It was full of character and really nicely presented. It was great staying somewhere so old and in such a lovely location. Gengenbach itself was a brilliant place, loads of restaurants and cafes in beautiful countryside.

We wanted to be able to cook and eat a meal together but this was hard as the largest room with the big table and 4 chairs couldn't be used as you couldn't put anything hot on it and there were no mats or heat proof cloth. There was no kettle but the hosts provided one when we asked. All the apartments (we rented 3) were perfect for couples, but less good for a family.

Perfect location; nice clean, newly renovated building and studio.

Check in was a bit cumbersome as the key to our room was not in the automated key dispenser but communication with the property was quick and easy. The bathroom door is a sliding barn door which leaves lots of space open on either side (not the greatest privacy) and they need better light blocking curtains as the room is a bit bright at night

We had a great stay at this apartment. The owner was very helpful and responsive. The location is perfect, parking in a public lot only a short distance away. The apartment is perfect and very comfortable. Would highly recommend.
