Each time I come, I enjoy staying at Kloster Kappel! The staff are warm, welcoming, and friendly and make their guests feel right at home. The facilities are top-notch: everything is always sparkling clean, the rooms are cosy and the beds are very comfortable. The location is simply stunning. Set in a peaceful and safe area, the views of the surrounding landscape were breathtaking and added to the overall sense of tranquility. It’s the perfect place to relax and unwind. I highly recommend Kloster Kappel for anyone looking for comfort, beauty, and exceptional hospitality.

The hotel is located in a quiet surroundings with lots of greenery and nature. The views of the Alps remain breathtaking. The building and its immediate surrounding architecture is very pleasant to be around. The staff are incredibly friendly and enormously helpful, as they had been during previous stays.

The breakfast setting had changed from the grand hall to the cafe, which is actually an improvement as it was more intimate. The lack of hot breakfast options remains a downside, though there is plenty of bread, hams and cheeses.

Beautiful and peaceful place not far from Zurich Lots to see, there's the old church, the old monastic quarters, the gardens around the place. It looks like on the pictures. If that's what you like, then it's a perfect spot

We stayed with a family but the hotel is more geared towards conferences and such. For one night it was very nice, but there isn't anything specifically for kids there.

Location is beautiful with stunning views of a Swiss countryside and the Alpine ranges visible in the far horizon. A very peaceful atmosphere. Staff are incredibly friendly, polite and helpful. The café offers good, wholesome refreshments and snacks throughout the day.

Breakfast was almost entirely cold - bread, preserved meats, cheese, yogurt and cereal. One might expect the usual eggs, bacon or sausages to be served but this is not the case. Rooms are quite Spartan - it has the bare essentials but no TV, refrigeration or air conditioning.

Lovely tranquile place. It is clean and beautiful surroundings for a walk and talk. The location is in the middle between Zug and Zurich

The breakfast is kept very simple and the church bells ring every hour. I noticed them from 5am as I left the window open. Well, it is a Monastery

Beautiful stay in the Swiss Countryside. Extremely calm and relaxing. Lovely area for a walk. Beautiful views of the mountains and green countryside. Continental breakfast was simple but lovely. Would highly recommend this accommodation.

Peace and quiet Food was delicious

Really is like a maze! I ended up in a room in the roof because i took the wrong lift. Conversely i could not find the way to breakfast (basement). Food selection very limited (but delicious!)

Everything was fine. Rooms are perfect (no TV, it is a monastery, no claims). Bar is fine... From last year, they have place a net in the windows against mosquitos... perfect. Perhaps, the sound fo the cars passing by is the only "no perfect" aspect. Lots of places, rooms, places to get lost...

Relaxing former cloister which is not very close to any town. Nearby Zug is nice for the day! Perfect location if you want to relax with lovely scenery and good food!

Beautiful setting with the Suisse Alps as background. Quaint atmosphere being in a former monastery turned education and retreat center. Food in the little cafe-restaurant excellent. Definitely would stop there again if in the neighborhood.
