The single room is facing to the lake, the lake view is breathtaking! The hotel is at great location, many restaurants downstairs, mini bird-park, 5 minutes walking distance to train station Zug Postplatz. Room is compact, modern and comfy, with Nespresso coffee machine, airconditioning and minibar stocked with 2 bottles of water. Closing the window completely could cancel the noise from restaurant downstairs. Hotel also provides free 1-day transportation card covers the Zug area could cover train/bus/tram

1. Slow wifi and 4G network during Friday night (too many users probably). Saturday early morning is ok. 2. Breakfast is under the bar, limited choices, bread are not fresh baked. Quality is compromised probably due to free breakfast.

The hotel is four star: linen table cloths, excellent restaurant and very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Very clean. Location is superb. I had a single room with a wonderful view of the lake. Unlike single rooms in other hotels, there was sufficient room without being claustrophobic as single rooms often are. Would recommend this hotel to single travellers and I noticed that there were a number of solo women travellers. Zug is a lovely place to stay.

I liked everything. I could not fault the hotel. I was well looked after.

Perfectly located in Zug’s old town by the lake, this hotel is a gem. The rooms are immaculate, stylishly renovated, and come with a gorgeous Nespresso machine—small detail, big joy. The brasserie downstairs is excellent, and the staff throughout are warm, attentive, and clearly take pride in what they do. Lovely breakfast too. Great value for this level of comfort and charm.

All good!

This is where I stay whenever I’m in the area. Feels like home. It is located centrally, just a 10 walk from the main train station, directly at the lake (if you’d like to have a quick swim before breakfast or sundown), it has all one needs and no bs that one doesn’t and would have to pay a premium for. Staff are friendly, cheerful and do everything they can to accommodate extra requests.

Can get noisy certain times of the year.

Very nice, well designed room. We had a view of the lake and the main square of the Zug old town. Breakfast was excellent. In addition to the extensive buffet we were also offered a choice of egg dishes and fresh coffee.

While the location on the square was wonderful, it remained noisy late into the evening with people lingering on terraces and chatting. We ended up closing our windows and turning on the air conditioning. We would have kept the windows open otherwise.

Central location, view of the lake, beautifully appointed room, exceptionally fine bathroom, very good food, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

We were on the top floor, and the lift broke down twice ! But it was fixed within hours and there was no inconvenience. So really there was nothing we didn't like !

We had a beatiful and pleasant stay at hotel Lowen. The room had a romantic view to the lake, it was big enough, the beds vere comfy (although it wasn't a proper double bed, just two twin beds adjanced to each other). The staff was super helpful and friendly. Breakfest was delicious, and we got freshly cooked eggs (made to our liking) and cooffee (whatever we asked for).

Although we understand that, given the smaller size of the hotel, they could not offer that many options, we'd appreciate at least some changes in the menu from day to day.

My stay at the hotel was nothing short of delightful and memorable. From the moment I stepped foot into the lobby, I was greeted with warm smiles and excellent customer service that instantly made me feel welcome. The room itself exceeded my expectations in every way possible. It was impeccably clean, well-furnished, and boasted stunning views of the surrounding lake. The bed was incredibly comfortable, providing me with a restful night's sleep amd two additional small pillows greatly improved the quality of sleep after a long day of exploring the city. The amenities were great too, like the soundproof walls and quiet-flushing toilet. In conclusion, my stay at this hotel was an absolute pleasure. The exceptional service, luxurious accommodations, and attention to detail truly set it apart from others. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a remarkable and unforgettable hotel experience.

Perfect location, comfortable room, and reliable Wi-Fi for work during my two-night stay. A bit pricey, but that’s Switzerland. Would stay again. I loved the view from my window!

Tip: If the hotel breakfast comes with a fee, I’d skip it and visit the great bakeries and cafes nearby instead—unless it’s Sunday, when most places are closed and the hotel breakfast becomes a good option.

Our room overlooking Zug’s old town was lovely- well appointed and everything up to date. The breakfast included a choice of cooked eggs along with an extensive spread of bread, meats, cheeses etc. The staff was friendly and helpful.

It’s a hike from the train station but not much the hotel can do about that.
