The welcome you get in City Hotel Ochsen is what would make you come back ! The little things they do great - requesting a little jug of milk when you arrive late is no problem will deliver to your room , to showing you the map of Zug. Both the man and lady on reception are brilliant and should be commended , same with the owner whom I met one of the nights . Better than any of the more expensive hotels in Zug which I’ve stayed at ! I will be back ! Rooms are well laid out , clean and cosy with beautiful modern bathroom - a pleasure .

The location was perfect, not too far from train station, easy to walk to the lake and restaurants, in the heart of old city. The breakfast, which was included, had tasty choices, including delicious fruit, and I appreciated that the staff accommodated my request for lactose-free yogurt. The staff was very kind and helpful, lending us everything from a corkscrew and knife to a much-needed umbrella! We did eat dinner one evening at the restaurant and it was tasty. The hotel has a beautifully designed modern interior in a very cool historic building. The staff in every part of the hotel were wonderful.

well, the price. We felt like we were treated luxuriously, and the price reflected that.

The hotel is a hidden gem right in centre of Zug. The property is very traditional with modern amenities. The staff is super co-operative and supporting. It is walking distance to the lake and all major attractions. Parking is not free (excepts for Sundays) but you can find couple of paid parking options nearby. The rooms we stayed in were amazing with nice interior design and a great view from all the windows. Our rental included the breakfast. It was not a huge menu but definitely you will enjoy having breakfast on the outside with great view.

Nothing about the property but general information for all visitors, the shops usually close at 5pm, so be mindful if you want to get something. All restaurants have a last order at 9:30 pm and after that you will not find any food.

City-Hotel Ochsen was a beautiful hotel located near Lake Zug in the old city of Zug and very near all kinds of shopping restaurants near by. Our room was spacious, simply but beautiful furniture and art with lots of light. It was clean and there were excellent amenities both in the room as well as in the hotel with a bright inviting workout room and saunas available. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The restaurant at the hotel served the best meals ever and had very good vegetarian options! I cannot sing the praises of this hotel enough to say how much we enjoyed our stay!!

Nice facilities, super warm welcome with kids set, spacious room, everything is clean. I want to say thank you for cleaning and organising all the things when we are out for breakfast after the first night. Breakfast is simply but delicious and definitely satisfied. We enjoyed our stay here.

Being located in the very centre of Zug, the hotel is a sightseeing by itself. Modern minimalistic design of rooms with majority of amenities available. Staff is very friendly and helpful

Selection of food at breakfast was very limited (although the level of service provided by the staff was flawless)

Perfect location, adorable property, nice restaurant with delicious breakfast and lovely staff. My room had a view over the beautiful roofs of the old town.

The staff are so friendly and helpful. This was our first time in this part of Switzerland and they were a great help with us getting around.

Very well designed, clean and comfortable room. Lovely lounge, bar and restaurant with tasty food for dinner and great breakfast. Walking distance from the lake for a nice evening or morning walk and not that far from the station

It was a bit cold in the room and it took me some time to figure out that aircon is not working well, so better to adjust radiator to higher temperature.
