Private and luxurious.. The arrival greeting was sincere and genuine.. something I don't find these days.. so it was much appreciated! The altstadt restaurant Taube has been lovingly renovated into a great hotel/ restaurant and I think my old friends Daniel and Tierry would be happy to see the building being used so well.

Sometimes reaching reception staff was a little slow .the messaging system / tablet is a good idea. This was a minor issue.

The team was extremely welcoming, kind and efficient at the same time. The view from our perfectly decorated suite was exceptional - it felt like sleeping on the lake! Amenities in the room made us feel at home right away. The restaurant was wonderfully gastronomic with perfect service. The gym had the best equipment I have ever used. It was very hard to leave and we look forward to our next visit!!!

We loved everything

The view is absolutely stunning. The room was very comfortable and location great in the middle of the old city. But the best thing is the owner cooking us the most delicious breakfast while having a good chat. Super friendly. Don’t miss eating in the restaurant for dinner too. The quality of the food is incredible. The best beef fillet I have had in years.

The rooms have a low ceiling as the house is old.

It’s quaint, great location, and cozy! Loved this place, and I felt comfortable, and slept so well. The beds are amazing!

The check-in after hours is hard for foreign travelers who don’t have WiFi. If we wouldn’t have found someone at the hotel restaurant, I have no idea how we would have checked in. That’s the only issue I had with the hotel. A new process for guests without WiFi is highly recommended.

A truly delightful experience in a magical location, the hotel has been painstakingly restored in exquisite detail and is an absolute triumph. The owner couldn’t be more helpful, nothing was too much trouble and his Italian heritage reflected in his very personable service. A genuinely pleasurable experience that I very much look forward to repeating, bravo! ❤️

We had the upper penthouse with a small terrace overlooking the whole lake, just wonderful! The food is excellent, breakfast outside or inside just perfect and the staff couldn’t be more helpful! Thank you Giovanni and team for this wonderful stay!

I liked the unassuming nature of the accommodation. I showed it to friends and they loved it and the ability to have privacy in the suites if someone else was to share using the sofa bed.

Great location and great view direct on the lake Rooms are new and very nicely decorated Staff is very helpful (call them before arrival so they guide you to the hotel, its hard to drive there with GPS)
