The host was waiting for us up[on arrival. We'd given the hour slot - I suspect he'd been there a while earlier 'just in case'. Very positive a polite meeting. Nothing too much trouble. Good selection of snacks and drink upon arrival - which helps as there aren't / weren't local shops. Water filter - hot / cold very useful. Host couldn't do more to make us welcome: cakes in the fridge after a long day in Kinabalu park. We also had top get some emergency dental work - and he immediately helped sort out problems we were having the payment app - just no questions asked! Completely superb.

Nothing really comes to mind. It's a great location and perfect for some quieter days.

Villa abuts the ocean; you wake up to the sound of crashing waves right outside. Private swimming pool offers refreshing reprieve from the hot days, and romantic hangout on evenings. In-unit washer is a great help. The villa is one of several in the complex. While we were there, the occupancy rate was very low, and we practically had the place all to ourselves. Facing the ocean means you get unobstructed view of the daily spectacle of sunsets. During low tides when the ocean front is accessible, the entire beach (quite flat out into the water) is for our enjoyment.

There's scant on-site eating choices while we were there, though there are pool-side bars at the community pool, but they were all close. For proper dining experiences, we had to drive out to the town area, about 15 minutes drive. Not bad, but not quite the on-site dining. On the bright side, there are many good choices for the famed Sabah seafood experiences all within a half hour drive.

Beautiful Villas next to the beach with all facilities and great customer service!! Great that we did not end up booking a place in the chaotic centre of Kota Kinabalu.

We loved the location, the decor and layout of the space, and the responsiveness of the hosts. The facility is a bit older but well kept and still very stylish. The rooms where well separated, giving privacy, and were quite large. The facility also had a washing machine and an really lovely outdoor space facing the sea.

The bed in the master bedroom. This was, by far, the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on. The first night there was incredibly difficult and restless but the hosts were responsive to our needs without any fuss or frustration and they provided us with a quality mattress topper that significantly improved the quality of sleep (thought still subpar).

We are absolutely thrilled with our stay at this villa! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly kind, polite, and helpful — they explained everything in detail, and anytime we asked for something, they responded immediately and made sure we had everything we needed. The villas have everything for a truly comfortable life — spotless clean, beautifully decorated with a stylish modern touch, and they even smell amazing! 🕯️🌿 For 5 days, my husband and I truly relaxed, enjoyed the comfort and breathtaking sea views. The place feels peaceful, private, and very well taken care of. It’s rare to find accommodation that combines design, hospitality, and comfort at this level.

We had an amazing stay at Borneo Beach Villas – Karambunai. From the moment we arrived, everything felt warm and welcoming. The host went above and beyond — from preparing thoughtful snacks after our flight to surprising us with extra cake during our stay. A special mention goes to the lovely housekeeper who welcomed us and regularly checked in with a big smile. Her kindness and attentiveness truly made the whole experience feel personal and unforgettable. The villa itself is stunning — spacious, beautifully maintained, and offering breathtaking views. All of these details, combined with the exceptional service, made our stay not just comfortable, but truly memorable. Highly recommended if you're looking for a peaceful getaway with a touch of genuine hospitality.

Private swimming pool, bbq facility and cozy villa atmosphere are just too perfect combination for us since we, from the start, were actually looking for a complete quality relaxation time, away from the hectic urban environment.

a few things need to be upgraded/repaired, e.g. folding door and air cond at the living room. It is clear that this a/c is struggling to overcome the heat wave coming from the villa's glass-majority wall during the afternoon period.

Staying at Bonheur villa is the best choice i made.. owner itself come and give the key itself. Owner very friendly and show us around... very satisfied and enjoy staying here.. my parent my siblings ,they all satisfied and enjoying...this villa have renovate and make the room more big and comfortable.. We had our BBQ with sea view.. and enjoying the pool at the morning without sun heating hehe .. the tub work perfectly. They provide 2 toothbrush for each toilet..and shampoo , shower gel .towel. Water heater.oven..penapis air..no need to buy drinking water or mineral water ..you have it all here..it just like a home..a perfect home ...with all kitchen equipment ..BBQ EQUIPMENt.smart Tv where u can log in to u Netflix account and enjoy watching movies. An Unforgettable Stay at Bonheur! Our recent stay at the Bonheur at Karambunai, Sabah, was nothing short of extraordinary. Impeccable Design and Comfort The villa itself is a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. Spacious, tastefully furnished, and equipped with all the modern amenities one could wish for, it offered the ideal sanctuary for relaxation. The highlight, of course, was the private pool. It was perfectly maintained, offering us a private space to unwind while soaking in the breathtaking views of the ocean and the surrounding landscape. The villa's open-plan design made it feel expansive and airy, with large windows allowing natural light to flood the space. Exceptional Service The service provided by the staff was impeccable. From the warm check-in process to the thoughtful touches throughout our stay, we felt genuinely cared for. It was clear that guest satisfaction was their top priority, and they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay to the fullest. Perfect for a Relaxing Getaway Whether you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life or simply want a quiet, private space to unwind, this villa offers the perfect retreat. The location is secluded yet accessible, offering peace and tranquility without being too far from essential amenities. We spent our days lounging by the pool, indulging in delicious meals prepared by the in-house chef, and exploring the nearby beaches.

I mean, it's not my first time staying at such an amazing place. Karambunai by itself has beautiful beaches, and to get a villa at the area is absolutely amazing. The host, Mr. Nathan was again, very easy to deal with, and is very professional! The only reason why me and my family keep coming back was due to Mr. Nathan's impressive hospitality. And of course, the place is just amazing. The villa we stayed, was Villa 120. From what I can gather, and according to Mr Nathan, is a new villa that he and his team acquired. It was masterfully decorated, and the amenities provided was more than enough. The facilities within Villa 120 is all functioning as intended, except maybe the outdoor shower near the Master Bedroom - maybe needs a bit of cleaning the showehead - but that aside, it is working in great order. So please, travellers, to any of you who would want to stay at Karambunai, do not hesitate to go for Bonheur! An amazing team, with impressive and clean villas that - when compared to the sad and rundown villas of Sabah Beach and Borneo Beach - its just night and day!

Nothing much I can say honestly, been to many of Bonheur's villa, all are just great! For villa 120 tho - do check into the showerhead a the Master's bedroom - may need a bit of servicing - but otherwise, the rest are just amazing!
