My husband and I stayed at La Demoiselle for four nights, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. This boutique hotel is beautifully designed, making us feel like we were stepping into a unique and charming place every time we entered. The owner, Lisa, was exceptionally helpful and always available to answer any questions we had, doing so with a warm and pleasant manner. Lisa provided fantastic recommendations on where to visit, including the local market, nearby villages, and great shopping spots. Every tip she gave us turned out to be spot on, and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the places she suggested. The hotel itself was clean, safe, and ideally located. It’s just a short walk to the city center, parking lots, and shopping areas, yet it sits in a quiet and secure alleyway, giving us the best of both worlds. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend La Demoiselle to anyone visiting Avignon. We can’t wait to come back!

if you’re sensitive to bugs, you might want to keep the window closed!

La Demoiselle was the perfect place for us to stay. Centrally located yet charming and quiet, comfortable room and beds, good shower/plumbing, delicious and ample breakfast, and our hostess Violette gave us lots of great info about happenings, markets, restaurants, places to explore and more. She arranged for our taxi as we left too. Thank you Violette et La Demoiselle!

We liked everything. chose the ground floor room because my knee can be fussy. At street level of course it had no balcony and we were traveling a few weeks with carry on only so had been doing some handwash every day or two. Drying things in the room was tricky. No fault of the place, just a trade off.

This is a cute little guesthouse in the heart of the old walled part of Avignon. The proprietors are a mother and daughter and they were wonderful. Room was adorable, clean and plenty big enough for two. This was our base for five nights: day trips to Pont du Gard, Nîmes, wineries, etc. Make sure to visit the mountaintop village of Les Baux. Note: If you stay in Avignon, park at the garage at Les Halles and walk from there…trying to navigate the 14th century streets with even a modest vehicle will drive you crazy!

This place was Amazing and our Host Violet was FANTASTIC!! we Followed all her recommendations for Dining , museums, and a 1/2 day wine tour all Excellent! Our room was one the largest we have ever stayed in our visits to europe. was spotless and had everything! and don't skip the breakfast ...our mistake...she made the perfect eggs cooked to your request. Loved our Experience and you will too! This was our 1st time to France so happy we traveled outside of Paris.. because Avignon was a Beauty and so peaceful! less touristy and the best Food on our trip ..thanks for Everything .. it was Perfect!!!!

This property was our favorite stay in all of the cities we visited throughout our vacation. The rooms are large, and the bathroom is nicely designed. The bed was quite comfortable. The breakfast includes local pastries and fresh squeezed orange juice! The hosts are very helpful and will provide advice on activities and logistics.

There is not much to say on the negative side for this property. I did feel that the location was down an unpopulated street which was somewhat empty at night. Although, it was well lit, and we did not feel unsafe. There is no elevator, which was not a problem for us, but I can imagine that some would not want to climb the stairs each day.

We loved our stay at La Demoiselle! Upon check in we were greeted by the reception which was so very helpful in telling us all we needed to know about Avignon. The owner, Violette, was also incredibly kind and helpful. The hotel is a traditional three-story house with multiple rooms set up B&B style. It is furnished and decorated beautifully. We stayed in the room on the top floor and it was comfortable although the shower lacked a door to keep the water contained. The breakfast was served in the lower level room and it was delicious and plentiful. We so enjoyed this bed and breakfast and plan to come back.

Everything was great!

This looks just like the pictures! We were two girlfriends and we stayed in the Mona room on the top floor, which has a king bed and a twin bed in a separated alcove. This would work well for a family as well. Room was spacious and exceptionally clean and beds were VERY comfortable. The real highlight is the breakfast which is truly delicious and many items are prepared homemade by the hosts, who are both SO nice and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again if I’m in Avignon!

Gracious host in a very convenient location. Beautiful 3 story stones home , only 6 bedrooms, on a small street. Delicious breakfast, homemade yogurt and jams, local cheese and bread, fresh orange juice and fruits, crepes on Sunday. Walking distance to the beautiful Palais des Papes, Pont d’Avignon, farmers market, restaurants! Parc your car outside the walled city and forget about driving. We did the historic tour on the touristic train.

Joanna was lovely ,very knowledgeable and helpful , thank you to lovely Joanna, The rooms were fresh & nicely decorated with nice touches such as magnification mirror , make-up cotton pads...build in robe and safe...

The step between the breakfast room was a different height which is quite dangerous for older people coming from the hall ....and no top sheet under the duvet ... I asked Joanna she kindly asked the maid before making the room up to add a top sheet to the bed ..but... the maid made the bed up with all the cushins etc and left me the top sheet on the chair ...so I had to pull the bed apart and re-make the bed myself ..why ???

We loved our stay at this gorgeous property. It was a great location for us to walk everywhere we wanted to, the rooms were beautiful, clean, and extremely comfortable, and we loved morning breakfast on the terrace. We cannot fault this location, and all of the hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly, with great information and recommendations for Avignon and surrounds.
