Les Tanneurs is located a short walk from Namurs shopping centre. It has very limited parking facilities but I requested a space in advance and was a bit surprised to see a spot reserved for me right outside the front door. There is paid parking on the street near the hotel and an underground car park a 5 minute walk away. The hotel has an old facade but is very modern inside. The room we were assigned (201) was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom came with a walk-in shower which I'd also requested in advance. We ate dinner in the hotels Grill Restaurant the night we arrived and chose the Tante Jeanne menu. It was excellent and at €38 a head not expensive. The restaurant service was perfect. We chose not to eat breakfast but make a visit to the shops before we had to check out. Maison Saint Aubain can be recommended for cheese lovers. All in all we had a great stay and will definitely stay again if and when in Namur next.

Nothing.

The hotel is in a great location for exploring Namur. We stayed in a self-contained apartment which was huge and very comfortable at 60 m², with a kitchenette but also a fully stocked minibar. We loved the modern design of the room and the huge modern bathroom. We were able to park right outside our building but there is also a secure car park. Our apartment was in a small, modern building beside the original older building that was the main part of the hotel. As a result, our room didn’t have the charm and character as rooms within the older part of the hotel however it made up for that in having a huge amount of space. Just something to consider when staying at the hotel: whether you want space or character.

Our apartment was on the ground floor at Street level with passing pedestrians. Privacy was a bit of an issue as we couldn’t open the curtains fully at all. And the room was quite dark. This wouldn’t stop me from staying here again but I would ask for a room of the same type on a higher floor as there is a lift making for easy access. Also, the only inclusion in the bathroom was hand washing soap and shower soap. No shower cap or body lotion etc. I would have thought with the hotel being rated four star that there may have been some other inclusions in the bathroom. Again, this wouldn’t stop me from staying here but it was just something I think they could improve on.

Lovely triple room in a converted building near the heart of Namur. Lovely being so close to everything and we were fortunate to be able to park out front in one of the hotel parking spots, at no extra cost. Everything has been recently redone to a really high standard - the shower room with huge wet-room-like shower was delightful

Personally, I found the ceilings in our room just a mite too low for comfort and the corridors just a touch too narrow; but my husband had no problems so this might be just me. Also, as I'm sure it says on the description, many of the rooms are reached by countless stairs up and down - so our room would not be for those with accessibility issues. But this was expected as we'd booked into a hotel in a converted building and not a problem for us

The room was very modern and well equipped, even though from outside, the building seems to be a bit on older side. The facilities were excellent. The staffs were very cordial. The location is also quite central.

Parking spacewise is a bit limited, so there are some double parkings - you need to wait for the other car to get out before you can take out your car. So in case you are planning to take out car multiple times in a day, there would be a bit of a challenge.

Bedroom very spacious, clean and quiet. Excellent shower. Coffee making facilities in room. Good air con (weather very warm). Great location (walking distance to all sights, shops and restaurants). Very helpful and welcoming staff. Free parking (we were lucky as the spaces are limited and once parked we did not use the car again for the whole of our 4 day stay).

Although the room was large with lots of hanging space there were no shelves/drawers to place articles of clothing. House keeping was very good but we had to go to reception a number of times to ask for our shower gel and coffee facilities to be replenished as these had been overlooked. However, staff were very quick to respond to our requests. We were one of a few rooms with no lift access (up 2 flights of stairs). However, the receptionist offered (and subsequently did) carry up my heavy case for me.

It is a very interesting hotel, with innumerable levels of floor and lots of stairs, it looks a bit like an Escher drawing. Room was wide, well furnished, and with a well-appointed bathroom and big shower. All curtains and blinds were electric, and worked. Nice snack tray with reasonable prices. Nespresso machine in room, and also a sofa and a nice TV. The hotel has a large restaurant which looks very pleasant and well attended, but we did not try it. Good breakfast, if a trifle expensive. Location is good for visits to the Citadelle (walkable distance to either the Citadelle uphill or to the cabin lift from the centre). There is some limited parking available, including 3 charging stations for electric cars (which were however ICEd by non-electric cars when we arrived).

Our room (320) had a very low ceiling, around 2 m, which felt a bit oppressive. There was a loud fan in the courtyard, coming up from the kitchen, which thankfully was stopped around 22:00. However, the room next door had a Jacuzzi, and our neighbours decided to enjoy it at 23:30: it was like having a jet engine in the room... it took a long time to fill up, and then it became even noisier when they started the bubbles. Luckily the whole thing lasted less than half an hour, but if they had been night owls...

Room with sauna was lovely. Very comfortable room and bed. They also had parking places that you can reserve, or could give us information on where else to park the car. Also recommend the restaurant - a lovely degustation with paired wines or beers. Only a quick walk to the centre of Namur and close to the main road into the city centre (so is quite easy to get too by driving).

Behind the hotel is an event space that often has music / karaoke etc late. If you find it difficult to sleep with noise and the window's open, bring ear plugs.

Superb renovation of historic buildings make this hotel architecturally stunning but also very comfortable. Generous room size with very large bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Perfect location.

Some niggles with room safe and curtains , but these were dealt with on request. As other guests have mentioned, it's annoying just to have a coffee machine in the room.

Tucked away in a quiet part of the town but within easy walking distance to bars and restaurants. Unfortunately, our room smelled of stale smoke which we were unhappy about. This was dealt with immediately and the member of staff was quick to find us an alternative room. Our room was spacious and had a wonderfully large shower. The breakfast was fresh and there was plenty of choice.

Nothing not to like.

We had a suite with jacuzzi bath. It was lovely and spacious with everything you need for a day or two’s stay. We had breakfast, which was a buffet with the usual provisions. We also ate in the ‘gourmet’ restaurant, which was excellent.

Lots of steps in room, with loo down the stairs from the bed. However, according to reception, it is possible to have rooms all on the same level if required. It was just that Booking.com didn’t offer anything other than suites with jacuzzis at the time we were booking.
