The Acora is very close to the Mining Museum and Stadt park, and only 15 minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof. The room was extremely clean and spacious. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful, including unlimited coffee, hot options (such as eggs and pancakes), meats and cheeses and yogurt. I was very happy with the option to skip room cleaning in exchange for a free drink coupon (that included wine or beer choices)! The bed was comfy, the pillows plentiful and the shower strong with excellent temperature. And everything was super clean! Although I didn't use the gym, it looked well-equipped. The grassy courtyard was a nice location for aperativo. Overall, a very good value for the price.

The room has no air-conditioning and no screens on the windows. On the hot August nights I stayed there, I had to open the windows for comfort, but insects were able to fly in and the noise from the traffic was disturbing. Be sure to ask for a courtyard facing room if you stay in the summer.

The room was pleasant, the staff was extremely nice, and the breakfast was outstanding! The place is clean and well-run, but a little old-fashioned, though not in a bad way. I had an upstairs room in a suit that was little tricky to navigate getting my suitcase into. Location is good, an easy walk to many things, including the central train station. I ate several meals in the restaurant, which had excellent German food and a kind-hearted staff.

The twisty, dark stairway to my room was tricky. It would have been nice if there had been some English-language TV available, but that is a small quibble.

Room was well equipped even had a kitchenette and a sink for cleaning. Pretty quiet as well. Staff very welcoming, perfect english spoken quite centric on the location, easy to get to nearby pubs and restaurants, as well as the train station

Breakfast is a bit expensive (over 18 euros) and is not different from any buffet one of any hotel. the shower was really small and the floor did not seem spotless clean. The heating seemed to be centralised and there was no clear way to lower it or turn it off. It could get quite hot especially during the day.

It’s location worked for my needs. The staff are very friendly and helpful and they off good size rooms.

Small complaint. The hotel needs to change its hairdryers. They are located in the bathroom. You can’t move them. You can not use the hairdryer without holding the on button and worst, after 3 minutes use they overheat. You then have a 5 minute wait for it to cool down before being able to use again. This processes is repeated over and over in order to dry your hair. Frustrating.

Location is great, transport links excellent. Lovely range of shops and many interesting areas to explore.

I hadn’t realised when I booked and gave my card details that I hadn’t already paid. This always happened in the past when staying here. A shock to have to hand over so many Euros to pay when booking in as I couldn’t use my debit card.

The room was massive and was located right across from the museum we wanted to visit. The staff were friendly. There was free WiFi.. the TV worked and the bathroom was clean. We were also able to leave our luggage for free at the hotel and this meant that we could enjoy our day I'm Bochum without having to lug luggage around. This was great!

There weren't many late night restaurants nearby as we arrived quite late in the evening and were stuck for options to buy dinner... we did however manage to get drinks from the bar / reception.

We were able to check out almost at midnight without problem. The hotel is perfectly located close to the main station. The breakfast is a nice buffet and start to be served since 6.30. There was even a small kitchen inside the bedroom.

The bed was not the most comfortable but nothing bad, maybe just a matter of taste. That was the only thing that I would improve, other than that, I had no complain at all.

this is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and each time the staff have been top class, courteous and professional . the rooms we have had were spacious and well equipped . public areas are pleasant and clean .we enjoyed the time we were in the hotel . looking forward to our next visit.the hotel is situated near the town centre and public transport links are close at hand

City centre location with a good sized room with bathroom, a compact kitchenette and balcony. A good choice of breakfast with friendly staff.

The only let down was as a result of the weather and the lack of air conditioning.
