Sol y Monte is a family run B&B. It is very private and peaceful place. We felt really welcome and were spoiled with milkshakes for breakfast :) Sol y Monte has a nice swimming pool on the top of the mountain which was especially amazing after dark. Nice spot for watching falling stars by the way! There is a dried river down the hill which was perfect for a couple of hours hike during our stay. My 11 years old son described the overall stay in just one word - the Jackpot :)) It was a pitty the rest of the days were fully booked already

We had a fun ride to get there with our rental car that was small and not suited for country roads - probably from time to time there are some upset guests. For us it made the trip just more remarkable, though :)

Wowww❤️ If you need peace & quiet this is where you should go. Beautiful mountain resort with pool, self service bar with beer, wine etc. Couple from Netherlands Nathalie and Bob are amazing hosts and we fell in love with their dogs too 😀 rooms are not big but they are clean and there is Everything you need, including coffee maker. You can also enjoy breakfast on your own terrace. Road to the B&B is a rustic mountain road but we had a small Toyota aygo and we were still able to get there. I would recommend 4x4 👍 This place is 20 minutes away from Álora village and about 40-50 minutes from Caminito del Rey.

Just so you know, there are wasps around the area, but I survived and still loved it even tough I’m afraid of them 😅🐝 Nathalie gave me electric fly bat and that worked

It was amazing! The owners were really nice! The place was so peaceful and familiar. The continental breakfast was included in the price and was a dream! They were flexible with the timming and had so many options. The breakfast was delivered in our balcony with a beautiful view! We asked for dinner and they cooked different dishes and even offered some welcome drinks! It was an amazing stay! Thank you for everything

We loved everything!!! But just some notes to consider(and that was previously shared by the owners): if you will have dinner there you should bring some cash. and since it’s in a remote and calm location you should have a SUV or at least a big car to do some off road kilometers.

A wonderful place. Wonderful Nathalie and Bob. If you're dreaming of a great vacation, away from the city, quiet, peaceful and close to nature, I RECOMMEND it. The best vacation ever. Delicious breakfasts, clean accommodations, comfort, and luxury. We are come back for sure !

The property was upto date with all the amenities one needs the rooms are beautifully decorated and the bathroom was very nice! The pool was clean and kept to a high standard and everything was working perfectly!

Only thing we didn’t like was we didn’t stay long enough :)

Lydia and Erwin were wonderful! They were kind, friendly and attentive. The setting is beautiful and we enjoyed a delicious dinner prepared by the hosts (for an extra, reasonable charge.)

The location requires driving a long, somewhat rough, steep dirt road.

Excellent and very kind hosts. Very nice and quiet place with great views. Very nice swimming pool. Also a very tasty and plentiful breakfast. Also always ready to cook delicious food at any time of the day. Nearby are excellent natural parks.

It all was absolutely perfect!!! Our last day in Spain, we couldn’t hardly leave-, it is such a beautiful and quite place, where you can hear your on breath and the birds are singing in the olive fields. And the beds are with an extra top madras so your back can relax in the night. It is so professional everything- so please offer yourself some nights at this amazing place- we regret that we only were there one night- we could have stayed at least 4 nights. We will come back- thank you Edwin and Lydia for your warm and professional service- and the breakfast and dinner was sooo delicious 😋. Greetings from Tunja and Gert

The Dutch couple who run the business were super friendly. They welcomed us with a free glass of wine. The place is really cosy and the swimming pool area is quite relaxing. Breakfast was brought to our room, very generous and tasty.

Malaga mountains in August are very hot, and wasps loved the breakfast... But none of those is anything to blame the B&B. If you have a sports car you will not like the trail to access the property.

Outstanding accommodation. Interesting old house in fine condition. Bedrooms comfortable and well appointed. Inside and outside sitting areas. Attentive and charming hostess. Very good food and nearby bars in delightful village.
