Fantastic location if you want something different from the beach. Picturesque river, huge territory where you can safely go for a walk/jog. Two swimming pools, lots of other activities (free and chargeable) organised but the resort. Very good restaurant. Breakfast is included. Staff is very nice. Rooms are comfortable, spacious and very clean. SUP on the river was awesome

Some rooms are dated, if you want a newer and bigger room stay near the restaurant garden view. All excursions although booked via the hotel are payable to individual drivers. In our case the driver tried to rip us off at every stopped, adding diversions to places where he would be paid a cut of our entry fee. That left a not very pleasant feeling

We stayed at Loboc River Resort for six days and had a fantastic experience. From arrival to departure, the reception staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. You can clearly feel this is a family-run place, and it makes a difference in the atmosphere. The setting is beautiful, right along the river, with lovely swimming pools and plenty of nature around. During our stay, we went fishing, spotted monkeys, rented SUP boards and a pedal boat, and joined a tour — there was always something fun to do. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The restaurant is decent — not outstanding, but good enough for a pleasant meal on-site. We noticed that many guests seemed to stay only a night or two, but we really enjoyed spending almost a week here and exploring everything the resort and surroundings had to offer. Overall, this resort is highly recommended if only for the exceptionally friendly staff, who made us feel right at home.

Absolutely lovely. Rooms to pool to staff everything super nice. Such a cool feeling to be there. We stayed 3 nights and it was good time to relax and recharge. Close to do the Tarsier, chocolate hills and whale sharks. It’s an amazing place and the staff makes it even extra special. Their staff is just too good.

The restaurant can improve the food a little bit more. But all in all it’s a tremendous place.

When we arrived we trully felt like in the paradise. The river setting is marvelous and very relaxing and this place has everything you need for a few days while on the island. The restaurant has tasty and good priced meals, there are kayaks and stand up paddle boards for hire, there are cheap and very good quality massages, awesome pool and lovely staff. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit Bohol and take the trip to the Chocolate Mountains or have a river cruise. Purchase your trip directly from the hotel to support local people. It is much better value for money then and you can have a private driver.

The only downside for us was a quite outdated air conditioner that was really loud but we couldnt sleep without it due to the temparature outside.

We liked the location, staff, cottages, pool, and the food served at the restaurant. The location is away from the party scene in Bohol, so it's very quiet (except during the fiesta). The staff was super helpful and friendly -- from the reception, guides and restaurant servers. The cottages were very comfortable and nice -- the balcony overlooking the river was nice for reading. The swimming pool was nice. The breakfast options were really nice, and the mangoes too! We loved barbecue night!

Not really a big deal, because we didn't know about the fiesta and the receptionists told us about it as soon as we checked in. The disco music was very loud and the walls in our cottages even reverberated with the loud bass. It was funny. For the breakfast, I wish that they offered brewed coffee instead of instant coffee. We had to order those separately. I didn't get the chance to have a massage, because of the fiesta -- none of the masseurs wanted to work.

Everything went well. This is truly an amazing place, not only for the wonderful location, but mostly because of the amazing staff, who go out of their way to accommodate anything you ask. Also the food in the restaurant is exceptional and the menu is diverse and interesting, catering to many food tastes. This resort really exceeded our expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed our entire stay. There are so many things to do, both in the resort itself and also within a 20-30 minute drive (which they will arrange for you).

Really wasn't anything we didn't like. I think anyone who stays here will have a great time. I guess one small thing (but not the resorts fault) is one of the neighbouring properties across the river played loud music early in the morning (6:00am). But that's one of the scourges of living in the Philippines (having to put up with inconsiderate neighbours playing outrageously loud music at all hours of the day and night).

We stayed in the premier / deluxe villa. Nice, clean and spacious. Very-very nice location (the villa but also the resort by itself)! Spacious set-up of the resort , two swimming pools (one for the premier guests), tranquil, next to the river, firefly watching trip included. Also a good base to rent a motorbike and explore the island. We visited the tarsier sanctuary and of ofcourse the chocolate hills by bike, 45 min drive. While you're doing this trip, visit the Pangas falls as well. The staff is ever so friendly and helpful. The bedroom was a-okay. The bathroom was clean which is most important. However, the finishing leaves some room for improvement, but certainly no biggie. Don't forget to visit the Pahangog falls by the way!

Nothing.

We stayed in Premier River View room 1 and it was beautiful. The room is huge with a balcony overlooking the river, from which we saw lots of birds, bats, butterflies, bats, lizards and fireflies. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was good. All of the staff were incredible and all knew our names and which room we were in- Christy, Silva, and Margie on reception were absolutely amazing at their jobs and so helpful. We did the firefly tour, took kayaks out on the river and ate in the restaurant a lot- food was really good. One evening children from the local high school came to perform some traditional dances which were brilliant and so much fun The grounds are beautiful and well kept. We have stayed all over the world and this is one of the best places we've ever been. Everything was just perfect, we were really sad to leave and definitely want to come back!

Absolutely nothing, our stay was perfect in every way.

Picturesque and quiet riverside location of both room and restaurant. Large property to explore with monkeys to see. Well placed for exploring Chocolate Hills and Loboc has an appealingly different vibe to Panglao (akin to ubud vs kuta). Inexpensive rooms, add-ons, food and drink. Option for yoga class - book in advance though.

Regular rooms and restaurant bathrooms overdue for renovation (wall cracks, hand dryers not working) but priced accordingly and spacious and comfortable. Outside light doesn’t work without room key/power so walkways dark. Solar light perhaps?

We had a wonderful stay at Loboc River Resort. The staff is extremely kind and always available, ready to meet any request with a smile. The hotel is surrounded by nature and offers the opportunity to join an on-site tour to observe the local wildlife up close. Upon check-in, you are given a brochure filled with interesting excursions to choose from. The restaurant serves good dishes. We recommend this Hotel especially to nature lovers looking for a relaxing stay in an authentic and green setting.
