This B&B is in a fully restored wing of a farm surrounded by fields just outside Piacenza. Our spacious top-floor room had windows on both sides, creating welcome ventilation in hot weather, and in any case had an air conditioning unit if needed. Everything was evidently scrupulously maintained. The lady in charge is hugely welcoming and loves dogs. Breakfast includes a copious choice of her own pastries, as well as good cold meats and cheese. The room rate including breakfast was a bargain for August, making this an excellent halt in a trip across Italy. The house is isolated, but the excellent Locanda del Falco, in a charming stone village attached to a castle, Michelin-listed, is less than a quarter of an hour’s drive away.

The two sisters who run this location were so welcoming and friendly. The took extra special care of me, and especially order oat milk for my breakfast. The farm location is special and very esay to reach central Piacenza by car from here. My room was very clean and functional. Piacenza turned out to be a special and wonderful place from me to visit and an real surpise.

Almost nothing, but the only minor detail I could say was that the fram is accessible only by a 1 km slightly rough gravel road.

I really appreciate Maria's hospitality. She responds very politely. I checked in very late, and she was available to receive me upon my arrival. She is very kind and willing to help out with a warm heart and a lovely energy on her face. Very charismatic, I must say! I certainly enjoyed everything at Molinetto ❤️. It has an amazing view in the morning 🌄. The location and the gravel road, which they call a 'white road' here in Italy 🇮🇹, are perfect. 🥰 Driving on the white road makes you feel like you're in the countryside 🚗, which makes the experience unique.

What a gem in the outskirts of Piacenza!!! Calmness and comfort blend together with hearty welcome and savoury breakfast! Thank you so much - we enjoyed our short stay at your wonderful place in the midst of the tomato fields having your nice horses as neighbours!! Hope to come back - we will surely cook the tomato Sal a once back at home ;)

Everything was marvellous!!!

Location was at the end of a long dusty track but ok for driving on. Breakfast was mainly cakes, biscuits and other sweet things with a little ham and cheese available. Great if you have a sweet tooth. Room was ok but shower doubtful.

The shower was weak and difficult to operate. Breakfast choice was limited. No tea or coffee making facilities.

Breakfast was good with tastes of the region. Location was quiet however a car is needed to get around as it was on the outskirts of town. Lovely hosts and very accommodating. Daughter could speak English but Google translate would be handy otherwise. Safe parking on site, internet good. Easy to navigate to the site with GPS.

Very friendly and flexible welcome, comfortable rooms and marvellous breakfast. Thank you! We will remember your horses, the tomato fields and we cooked the tomato salsa and are enjoyng it over delicious pasta ;-)

This small B&B is a gem. Located away from the main road in the middle of fields (see sunset photo, taken from their driveway), the B&B is both rustic (see one of the 5,000 horse photos our kid took) and fully modern. The rooms have been recently renovated and were super clean and inviting - ours was quite large with good AC (it was an attic room in the summer) and lovely complementary soaps. The breakfast was varied and tasty and, when our picky kid eyed the offerings warily, a solution was sought and found by the proprietor (Nutella, of course ;) ) Our two dogs were warmly welcomed and the accommodation is perfect for pet owners as it has tile floors, no rugs, solid furniture/nothing easily knocked over or breakable. We also spent an evening in the charming town of Piacenza and would have enjoyed having the opportunity to stay longer in both the town and B&B Molinetto. Highly recommend.

Very nicely restored historical building in a quiet location. Enjoyed walking our dog in the rural area. Not far from town and also a good local restaurant within a few minutes drive. Comfortable and pleasant bedroom, spotless clean. Warm welcome.

This was one of the most lovely accomodations on this trip to Italy. The hosts are gracious and helpful, going out of their way to help two very weary travellers (we had walked 34k along the Via Francigena), and make us feel welcome and cared for. The two ladies running it are full of warm personality and were good company - in spite of our lack Italian language skills. Our room was nice and spacious, with a very comfortable bed. The linens and towels were excellent quality. It was a comfortable sleeping temperature in the room and warmed up gently in the morning. There’s a big armoire with lots of places to put clothes. There are night tables to put away small things, and places to charge at both sides of the bed. The washroom is nice and clean, with a good shower providing plenty of hot water. They also provided body wash packets. There’s a little fridge in the room and there were two bottles of cold water waiting for us. The breakfast was perfect! They had salumi (cold cuts and cheese), fruit, yoghurt, cakes and cookies. The coffee machine makes an excellent cappuccino, so we had a second cup! There are also some nice juice selections. While we arrived too late and were too tired from our long walk to use it there is also a lovely seating area outside. This lovely property is tucked away just on the outskirts of town, with a 7km walk into the town centre. There’s a bus stop just 700m from the property that can take you right into town as well if you aren’t up for the walk. This was our best stay of our 11 days in Italy, and we’ll always look back fondly of our time here. Highly recommend it.
