Perfect location just on the beach with two pools as well. Very friendly staff and good prices on the food. We extended our stay because we liked it so much

They use something else than chlorine in the pool to keep it clean that makes you and the swimming clothes all green. We’ve noticed this in other pools as well in Zanzibar so not a problem related to just this hotel but good to know if you plan to swim

The staff were exceptional, so friendly and willing to assist with all our wants and needs. The food and drinks were great. Room had aircon to cool us down. 2 pools to play in and located right on the beach. Perfectly located amongst the kite surfing schools and Buccaneer Diving right next door (their instructors were amazing)

The power kept going out (but not for long), but this meant no running water for showers, toilet flushing etc (drinking water was bottled). Bird poo on the balcony handrail and chairs from all the crows.

I loved EVERYTHING! The property is gorgeous and directly on the beautiful white sandy beach! We booked 2 apartments for my family of 5 - one two-bedroom for our kids on the ground floor facing the pool and the other one was a one- bedroom upstairs overlooking the pool and beach. The rooms are enormous and very nicely decorated. They have huge terraces with comfortable chairs and a table. The bathrooms are also huge with big showers and good water pressure. The beds are super comfortable with mosquito nets. There are also kitchens in the apartments that are nice too. The entire property has a super cool vibe with a friendly staff and is always very clean and tidy. There are two pools that are very clean as well with perfect water temperature. The restaurant is delicious with fantastic service and the bar between the pool and beach is fun and has great drinks. what I really loved is how they had great mild music playing all day - not thumping loud house music like some places. The music was peaceful yet fun at the same time. One of our favourite parts of the hotel - the coffee bar! We are big time coffee drinkers and it was so nice to have delicious espresso drinks right on site! And they open at 7:30am! The breakfast overlooking the beach was fantastic too! They had made to order eggs and pancakes as well as many other local delicacies and healthy options like smashed avocado on toast. The property is located in such a great position on the beach next to so many other restaurants and cafes. On Friday night they had a fabulous band play fun local music and it had a super fun crowd. The staff is one of the best parts of this hotel!! They are all so friendly and fun. And the office staff is AMAZING! They are so helpful and kind! We can’t wait to return to this one of a kind gem in Zanzibar!!!!!!

I liked everything, there are only small things that would make the stay even more comfortable, better light at the bathroom mirror, bigger safe (my 14‘‘ notebook didn’t fit), more shady sunbeds…. At the pool they were blocked by towels throughout

Great spot, good view of the sea, clean and tidy pool and pool area. Great breakfast. They arranged the spice tour/return taxi to Stone Town.bi love the fridge and hot drinks station.

Generators were often used to supplement the power when city power was cut. But not all the time. We had some very hot times at night. And one afternoon when we returned from the beach there was no power and no water for showering. The Swahili night was overpriced considering it was just food. No additional cultural content. (No live music due to death of former president). Food was good, but no ugali!! Or maharagwe, chapati, kisamvu...it could have been more authentic!

Paje Beach Apts & Hotel was our FAVORITE place to stay in Zanzibar!! Everything about it made our days there wonderful, from the warm and welcoming staff, to the location, pool, proximity to the beach, decoration, cleanliness, breakfast, the bar, live music, just everything! We are nostalgic about our days there and can't wait until we return.

There wasn't anything about the hotel that we didn't like! Well, maybe the coffee....wasn't very good. But everything else made up for the lack of good coffee. Plus it's a pretty easy fix. Maybe by the next time we go there will be yummy coffee :)

Spacious appartement with air conditioning, drinking water, working kitchen, good internet and a balcony. The hotel complex is on the beach with beautiful views and near all the other restaurants and animated spot in Paje. There are some seating area near the pool and the beach but when the hotel is full it can be hard to find space. The breakfast is good, eggs and pancakes made on the spot, and you can buy special coffees (espresso, etc.). Staff is very friendly.

The restaurant provided excellent food and a lot of different choices I had booked an apartment and it was extremely spacious and very comfortable. The staff could not have the nicer and more helpful. Location was right on the beach, excellent

Only complaint that I would have, and it has nothing to do with the hotel, it has everything to do with the electric system within all of Africa and especially Tanzania and Zanzibar. There is not enough power generated to support the country and therefore air conditioning was not available some of the nights.

We met the best staff there! All of them were really friendly, fast and with good level in English (it's not like that everywhere on the island). Perfect location for tourists and kitesurfers. There is a wonderful restaurant and surf school. Rooms are very spacious and clean. We had a great time in the hotel!

There is a city/tourist tax that wasn't written in booking, and we pay at the property.

Reaction from staff when informed of having been threatened by and forced to give a bribe to traffic police, when driving to Paje. If this happened jn my country, hotel management would have taken details and reported it to authorities. "Relax" is not an appropriate response. Not a big issue for us,, but electricity was down alot.
